I'm a complete dumbass, I posted this before and I went back to
edit the play list that was attached and ended up deleting the
entire thread. I do apologise. That's what I get for losing my
glasses, long story about that one, haha. Anyway I've managed to
go completely out of my comfort zone with this one, blaming
David entirely for it. He seems to have pulled a Lestat and
invaded not only my daily routine but my dreams as well, haha. I
am indeed working on Like The Rain so I'll be flip flopping a
bit, I do hope you can forgive me. I've gone and revised the
playlist for this one and I have to apologise for the overly
softened banner. I'm also trying my damnedest to not go and pull
a Meyer with this and stick to the vampire lore as much as I
can. I have tweaked a few things here and there, Michael for
instance being a full fledged member of the Lost Boys for
       instance. :)

       Summary:
Lottie Black and Maggie Flannery have always been the good
girls, never once wondering or questioning the darker side of
life. It's been four years since college and now's the time to
forge new bonds with the world. A chance meeting one night with
two roguishly handsome leather clad bad boys they met on the
boardwalk of their new home town of Santa Carla turn their
relatively safe worlds upside. There was something feral about
those grins and something wild was hidden deep in their eyes,
something that drew these two good girls to them. Will it be
love at first sight or lust at first bite?

Where oh where do I begin!
I think I should first make it known that I've no problem at all
with the fact that your muse wishes you to write about David,
cause I love the guy, and I love Michael. I love all four of
your main characters in this one, so I'm dying for it to begin.
Your summary is excellent, as is the banner you created. The
blur is a nice touch! it adds to the eerie effect :3
Never have I heard that Cooper track before and I feel ashamed,
cause I love him, but never once listened to that and I regret
it. All these years having missed out on that one; it's a great
song and fits perfectly. Also adore your playlist! I had a
gander at this thread last night before I dropped off and just
noticed you got rid of Closer xD which is a shame, cause that's
an epic song, aha. The ladies outfits are absolutely gorgeous as
well, might I add. I love both their fashion sense and the
quotes you've placed beside the attire. I'm going to be as quiet
as I possibly can whilst waiting for this to start!

Oh bless you, you awesome awesome lady you! David's a right
bugger when he wants to be and he's been a persistent little
thing about this one. I tried adding a smoke/fog effect but it
looked a little odd and didn't seem to go but I'm glad you liked
the eerie vibe. Oh please please don't feel ashamed! I'd only
heard of it a few days ago when I was coming home from town and
was floored by it. I actually went out and bought the album. :D
*looks up at playlist and whimpers* Crap! You're right! I shall
gladly add Closer back to the list, I thought I did but I was
wrong. *pouts for a second* Excellent eyes my dear! I tried to
give the girls something that said they were just breaking out
of their comfort zones a bit. I've taken a little smidge of
creative license with this one and allowed the ladies to choose
their animalistic forms, dear Lottie's gone a little lupine. I'm
still up in the air about dear Maggie perhaps she'll go
traditional and become a bat? :D I'm working on this one as we
       speak my dear never fear!

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       June Santa Carla, CA
"I'm really not so sure about this, Lottie..."
I muttered as I attempted to pull one of the newly acquired
skirts down a bit to have some shred of modesty left to myself,
not wanting the rest of the world to know what color underwear I
was wearing tonight I adjusted the skirt to ride a little lower
on my hips and checked myself again. The crop top I was
unceremoniously put in didn't do anything for me except make me
very very conscious of myself. Lottie who was lounging on my
bed dressed in her own skin tight leather and lace trousers and
corset tank top merely grinned as she fluffed out her long curly
       hair.
"Oh come on, Mags! We're forging new bonds with the world
tonight, don't you want to go out and meet someone just a little
bit dangerous tonight? We're going out to taste life and we
       look...we look pretty damn good."
I raised an eyebrow at Lottie as I finished my makeup and
slipped on a belt and some jewelry.
"Our Mothers would have fits, Lottie. Absolute fits and you know
       it."
Lottie snorted as she applied her own lipstick and rolled her
eyes before coming over to me and giving me a hug.
"Our mothers were young once too, Mags. Besides, they're not
here are they? We're big girls now, lets go out and break the
damn good girl mold we were poured into!"
I chuckled to myself as I hugged her back and then spritzed
myself and the silk scarf I'd picked out with my perfume and
grabbed my purse from the vanity table.
"By the way, we're riding the Giant Dipper tonight just so you
       know, front seat and all."
Lottie said to me as she slung an arm around me and we made our
way to the boardwalk that was just outside out and down from our
       front door.
I put my arm around her and chuckled as the moon rose high over
       us signaling a full nightfall.
"Only if we get to ride the carousel first. I've got to ease
into this whole born to be wild thing."
Lottie looked at me and then burst out laughing as she popped a
piece of gum into her mouth and emitted a snort that made me
break out into my own laughing fit.
"Alright, Mags. One step at a time, one step at a time."
As we approached the boardwalk we were almost blinded by the
lights coming off of it and grinned to each other as Lottie
grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the Giant Dipper ticket
booth and asked for two tickets and called dibs on the front
       seat much to my discomfort.
"Alright Mags, true test of courage here. Just put your arms up
and scream it out, you can do it!"
The bar came down and I broke out into a cold sweat as the car
clambered up the rickety wooden tracks, my heart pounding it's
       own wild rhythm.
"Open your eyes, Mags! You've got to see this!"
The roller coaster had stopped momentarily at the top to build
suspense and I'd closed my eyes so tightly that I was almost
giving myself a headache. The edge of excitement in Lottie's
voice caused me to finally open my eyes to see the moon hanging
lazily over the ocean, a truly glorious sight to behold indeed
for the second I'd seen it. The car lurched forward and down we
went screaming all the way, me screaming a few choice words as
we went around a corner and dipped again. My heart was still
pounding as my scarf flew off but to my amazement I was having
too much fun to care where it went. Whoever found it could keep
it, a new Maggie had been forged on this summer night and she
was looking for a good time. The car finally came to a stop and
the bar came up, Lottie and I getting out exhilarated and ready
to see what else the night had to offer.
"I've got to hand it to you Mags. You did better then I thought
       you would, now where to?"
Lottie asked as ambled up the boardwalk passing a few shops
along the way. The speakers above us piped in one of my favorite
songs I hadn't heard in ages.
"I didn't even know they still played this song."
Lottie said as we stopped for a moment by the carousel to have a
cigarette. I managed to dig through my purse and finally found
my own pack and then went about searching for my lighter. Two
leather clad men walked past us each giving Lottie and I an
appreciative look as they ambled on down past us.
"Get a load of those two, Mags. That blond had eyes on you,
girlie. I wouldn't mind getting to know that dark haired one at
       all..."
I playfully gave Lottie a smack as I dug around in my purse for
my lighter. I noticed that our two would be Romeos were lounging
against the posts of one of the many bulletin boards that were
dotted around the boardwalk area smiling at us.
"Lottie! I think they heard you."
I muttered as Lottie snuffed out her own cigarette and grinned
back at the taller dark haired one.
"Well, good. I'm going over to talk to him. I'll send his friend
       after you."
"I'll be down by the wharf. Don't do anything I wouldn't do,
       Lottie."
I called over my shoulder with a wink as I exhaled a puff of
smoke and made my way out into the warm Santa Carla night. It
was then that I heard the live music starting up by the
bandstand and made my way over. I moved through the crowd and
finally found a spot in the middle and started to move to the
music. I noticed I'd caught the eye of the blond leather clad
rogue from the boardwalk, one with a set of blue eyes that could
rival the ocean and feral grin that made my knees go weak. I
sent him a smile and then continued my dance without another
       glance his way.
       "You're a very good dancer."
Came an icy cold purr from behind me causing me to stop for a
second and turn and look at who was talking to me.
It was the blond I'd just smiled at, I had to wonder how he'd
managed to get so close to me without me noticing but waved it
       off to the crowd size.
       "Thanks...I think. I'm Maggie."
The blond moved closer to me and gave me that feral grin that
made me weak in the knees.
"I'm David. I think our friends have already met. He's Michael
       by the way."
He titled his head over toward Lottie and Michael who were
already clinging to one another totally entranced in each other.
"I was just wondering if you two would want to go and party with
       a few of us."
It was a Friday night and I figured what the hell? Why not, we
were new to town and needed to branch out and get to know the
locals. Especially this local that made me weak in the knees.
       "Sure why not?"
We ended up back tracking to the entrance and meeting up with
David and Michael's other friends who went by the names of
       Marco, Dwayne, and Paul.
       "Hey new chicks!"
Paul, a nice but rather stoneresque tall long haired blond
blurted out as he and the others looked Lottie and I over.
Somehow they could sense that we were off limits so to speak. A
pecking order seemed to be established and Lottie and I were the
new trophies for the higher ups.
"Well, if we're going to party let's party! Maggie'll be riding
with me and Lottie's with Michael. Paul, lead us off."
David said as he helped me on his bike and I could have sworn he
let out a growl as I wrapped my arms around his waist. I noticed
he had my scarf tied to the front end.
       "Hey, where'd you find that?"
I asked as I adjusted my skirt and found David glancing out of
the corner of his eye at my legs.
"It flew off the Giant Dipper, thought it might be yours. Smells
like you, what are you wearing? It's nice."
I felt a shiver as he addressed me and I blurted out the name of
       my perfume making him smile.
"That's something I wouldn't mind smelling it more often."
I was too shocked to even reply but I blushed from my toes right
to the top of my head as we took off down the road the wind
whipping my hair away from my face. We took off down a short cut
across the beach and I marveled at how the night seemed to sing
with activity, it was like Santa Carla's nightlife had a beat
all it's own. I ended up resting my face against David's jacket
to keep the sand away from my face and caused him to bristle a
bit and then relax. Something told me that he'd either never had
a passenger do something so insignificant or was out of practice
with the art of human contact. We raced around the beach at
break neck speed and off in the distance I I saw a light shining
on the beach and getting closer and closer. It finally dawned on
me that we were headed straight for the drop off by one of the
oldest lighthouses in town. I was also too scared to even let
out a scream or even think of a prayer to utter, instead I found
myself clinging to David for dear life as my heart pounded in
time with the waves that were rolling and crashing against the
rocky pitch black coast line below.
"You can open your eyes, Maggie. Take a look at the moon."
I hadn't even realized that I'd closed my eyes out of sheer fear
but when I did the moon seemed to be hanging just inched above
the water glowing brightly as the waves lapped and rolled.
       "Oh my God it's beautiful."
"It's like the night's alive isn't it? Like someone or something
just stopped the world so all of us night owls can come and have
       a good time."
I was struck by David's words as we turned around and followed
the rest of the group down the ancient staircase down onto the
beach and into a place that looked like it was rife with a
wicked set of catacombs. We filed in one after the other almost
totally blind except for a loan torch fashioned by Dwayne out of
some driftwood and an old t shirt that was left on the beach.
"He used to be a boyscout believe it or not."
Michael remarked as he wrapped an arm around Lottie, making her
       giggle.
As we ambled into the cave we were given the grand tour and
informed that the place was once one of the great resorts built
on a fault line and taken down into the ground during the great
quake of 1906. The place was littered with oil drums now used as
light sources and old pieces of industrial age furniture,
various band and movie posters were put up somehow on the walls.
Marco and Paul were dispatched out to go and get food while
Dwayne made himself scarce leaving Lottie, Michael, David and I
alone. Paul had left on his radio which he dubbed a "rock box"
filled the cave with the unearthly music of Alice Cooper.
       Take another bite
       It'll be alright
What's wrong will soon feel right
       Dangerous tonight
"How bad do you want it, Maggie? To be one of us?"
David whispered into my ear his lips barely grazing the outer
part of my ear. His lips soon found my neck and I found myself
       going wild.
"I want it more then you could ever imagine."
       Take another sip
       Let it kiss your lips
And let a little drip on your thighs
If you let me I'll untie your sensuality
I'll open up your heart and satisfy my greed
I groaned just as Michael passed an ornate bottle to David as he
       and Lottie grinned.
"That wine's something, Mags. You're going to love it."
Lottie whispered as an unearthly howling picked up and seemed to
goad me into taking the first sip.
My vision blurred while David's lips roamed my neck and throat
making me putty in his hands, my eyes rolling back into my head
and giving me the sense that I was falling. Something was in
that wine and I was bound to find out one way or another just
what it was. The last thing I heard before I fainted was a
       simple.
"Stay Maggie, stay forever and be with us. Be one of us. Be
       mine."
Those words never sounded so perfect to a set of ears as much as
       they did to mine.
       I'm dangerous, I'm a dying breed
       Poisonous like a centipede
I'm capable of the foulest deed
       Dangerous at night
       I'm dangerous like a razorback
       Deadly like a heart attack
       Well, I don't bend and I don't crack
       Dangerous tonight
       Take another turn
The rules have all been burned
And you've got tricks to learn
       Dangerous tonight
       Play another role
       Try and lose control
And stain your soul to red from white

I am in love with this so far and can't wait for another update.
I adore the personalities of both ladies and find Maggie to be
quite entertaining, haha. I wish I was more like Lottie, in the
sense that I wasn't so afraid to try new things and such. I also
felt a little bad for Mags and that new skirt of hers. I've
picked out far too many skirts in the past that wound up riding
a little too high on my hips - half the time they ended up at my
waist and I couldn't wear them to go out in at all, haha. Their
fashion sense is beautiful, but I believe I already complimented
that via your Polyvore links :D
The boys.. well now, where to begin. This update made me
appreciate David a whole lot more than I used to and I want to
thank you for that. Michael.. even more love for him now, too.
Also love how you incorporated the lyrics. I'm dying to find out
what happens once Maggie wakes up again! :]

Why thank you! :D I'm working on another update as I type this.
       I'm right there with you, Lottie's a daring girl isn't she? I
wish I was a bit more like her myself. I had the same problem
with skirts, which is why you won't find me wearing them very
often, haha. I'm so glad you like the ladies' style, I tried to
go with what they would have gone crazy for if they were out
making a fresh start for themselves.
I can promise you that Michael and Lottie will get more in story
time in the future, cross my little heart. I'm so glad you liked
David, I tried to keep him in character as much as I could but I
think I might have fudged it a bit. Whoopsie! I can also
promise you that the ladies are going to be coming into some
powers of their own pretty soon. :D

       The Following Morning
The apartment was quiet enough that I could hear a pin drop, in
fact I could hear the electric humming throughout the apartment.
I felt a surge and then let out a yelp as my bedside alarm went
off making me fumble to turn the stupid thing off. I ended up
yanking the offending bleeping thing off of the table and
throwing it against the wall causing it to shatter. It was then
that I noticed that my curtains were closed tightly and I
tightly tucked into the middle of my bed. When I finally got up
the nerve to get out of the bed I wrapped my bathrobe around
myself and tip toed down the hall and found the door to
Lottie's room closed, something that was very out of place. I
quietly inched forward and put my ear to the door before I went
       to knock.
       "It's open, Mags."
Came a groan from Lottie on the other side of the door. I
carefully opened the door to find the poor girl curled up in a
ball beneath her plum colored velvet comforter. I tip toed over
to the side of the bed and knelt down to find Lottie still a
huddled lump under the covers. I gently gave her a pat on the
back before I smoothed out her crumpled curls that hung over the
side of the bed as she faced the wall shivering.
       "Are you alright?"
I asked as I perched myself on the edge of her bed trying to
make sense of everything as my own head pounded.
"No, I don't think I am. I was up earlier and I noticed that the
answering machine had a few messages on it so I played them
       back..."
Lottie rolled over to face me, her eyes red rimmed from a recent
       bout of tears.
"Maggie, we've been out of it for three weeks. We've got a rent
       notice due..."
I thought back to the most recent events, my mind a swirling
mess of late night bon fires, wild rides with the David, scoping
out the boardwalk, and numerous trips to party down in the
caves. It surly couldn't have been three weeks since we'd last
checked our answering system, or let alone paid the rent.
"Oh my God. Ok, uh have you checked the bank account?"
Lottie nodded as she passed me her check book which only held
it's original balance, nothing had been touched, or so it
seemed. I stumbled down the hall back to my room and grabbed my
purse. My own checkbook reading the same balance. It was very
unusual for either of us to go without the basic necessities
since we moved in. I went about rummaging through the fridge
only to find a few bottles of water along with some severely
wilted lettuce. What the hell had we been eating for the past
three weeks? It wasn't like either of us at all to mooch off of
people. We'd been raised much much better than that.
After a twenty minutes of thinking between the two of us we high
tailed it into the living room to try and get a hold of either
David or Michael and failed miserably. It was only then that I
noticed a note hanging off one of the cabinets in the kitchen. I
got up from the couch and went in to investigate.
See you at 8 meet us at the gates of the boardwalk bring your
bags, you won't be needing this place much longer.
I sat down on the couch utterly perplexed and my mind reeling.
Bits and pieces of our lost two weeks came flittering back now
and then. Bonfires at the beach, screams, blood in the sand.
Lurking in dark ally ways. Lottie and I were something new,
almost untamed when we went out at night.
"Be one of us. Be mine."
Those two sentences repeated over and over in my head as I
finished making my bed, something I did out of habit and popped
into the bathroom for a shower. I didn't know what David had
meant by being one of them but for some reason I was just dandy
with being his. Talk about a life change. Lottie had curled
back up on the couch and fell into a deep sleep but not before
she begged me to wake her up after I got out and settled. I
quietly slipped away into the bathroom and turned the shower on
full blast before stepping into the steam and scrubbing myself
clean. Just as I was washing my hair my body tensed.
"Now, there's something you don't see every day. A fledgling
taking a bath, you're quite the organized little thing aren't
       you, Maggie?"
A raspy voice purred to me from somewhere beyond. I knew it was
David but where the hell was he? I could feel him but as soon as
I rinsed my hair and wrapped a towel around myself I found that
he wasn't anywhere that I could see.
"Where the hell are you, David? I can hear you..."
I muttered as I made my way into my bedroom and found my
dressing gown and robe. Strangely enough I was neither hot nor
cold, I was just was. I sat down at my vanity and sighed as I
pulled a wide tooth comb through my hair. There was something
different about me but I wasn't sure just what it was.
"Of course you can hear me, I'm in your head. Now, tick tock
goes the clock dear one. We've got things to do and show you on
this fine full mooned evening. By the way, the silk dressing
gown and velvet robe are a very nice touch. You're definitely a
girl I'd love to get to know more about."
My body tensed and I felt that weak kneed feeling come over me
once more. What did he mean he was in my head? Had I finally
lost all the sense I'd been born with? Great, I was just
twenty-two and having a severe psychotic break or something.
For some ungodly reason I was pulled to the window almost by
invisible hands. My senses heightened as I spied various people
milling around on their way to the boardwalk for a night of fun.
Something almost primal inside of me stirred and I could have
sworn a snarl escaped my lips as I locked eyes with one of the
stereotypical high school jocks. He stood there dazed as I gazed
into the very depths of his soul before being able to pull
myself from the window and attempt to wake Lottie. I turned to
find that Lottie was nowhere to be seen, very odd indeed I would
have heard her move from the couch. I looked up to ceiling to
see poor slumbering Lottie levitating higher and higher. The
winds picked up as I had to do a double take to make sure I
       wasn't seeing things.
"I'm just hallucinating. Yeah, that's it. I've finally gone
nuts, just like my Aunt Lois. Oh my God she's headed for the
       ceiling fan!"
I scrambled over and grabbed Lottie's feet and pulled her back
down to the couch and shook her.
"Lottie! Lottie! Wake up! Charlotte Christine Black you wake up
       right now!"
I shook Lottie a little harder until her normally chocolate
brown eyes flashed an unearthly gold and fulled opened as she
groggily sat up and looked at me.
"Oh good, you've finished your shower. Why on earth did you use
my full name, Maggie? Or should I call you Margaret May
       Flannery?"
I scowled at Christine even uttering my full name and sighed.
"I saved you, Lottie! You were levitating my dear, straight for
       the damn ceiling fan."
Lottie arched an elegantly arched eyebrow and then proceeded to
break into a fit of giggles.
"You're kidding! I could have known if I was levitating, Maggie.
       I would have felt something."
I rolled my eyes as I let go of Lottie's legs and watched at the
winds outside picked up again and Lottie again started her rise
toward the ceiling. Her eyes were as big as dinner plates as she
       let out a scream.
       "Get me down!"
I scowled for a moment before retorting back.
"A few seconds ago you didn't want my help, Lottie! Whatever
       changed your mind?"
Lottie shot me a look and then let out a growl.
"Just get me down! I'm getting closer to this damn ceiling fan
and I really don't want to be minced into teeny tiny pieces!"
I grabbed Lottie by the ankles again but much to my chagrin I
ended up being pulled toward the now open window of our two
story apartment. I'm sure if we had neighbors they would have
thought we were crazy judging by our screams.
"Close the window! Close the damn window, Lottie!"
"I'm trying, Maggie! Do you not see that?! It's the wind!"
After a few seconds of a struggle I was finally able to pull
Lottie back in and slam the window shut before sitting down to
       let what happened sink in.
       "Did I just levitate?"
"Yes, for the second time this evening. I think you might be
trying to go for a record or something. Either that or Peter
Pan's sprinkled some of Tink's magic fairy dust on you."
I retorted at I smoothed out my dressing gown and sighed. Lottie
fidgeted a bit in her seat on the couch and then excused herself
to go take her own shower. I busied myself in my bedroom trying
to figure out what I would be wearing for the night and still
couldn't reach a final decision. It seemed that I yearned for
something, something that was so illusive that I couldn't place
it but had to have it.
"Oh for the love of God!"
I snarled as I yanked back a few more hangers and threw them
onto the bed in a haphazard heap.
"Not even God's love can save you now, Maggie. You're no longer
wanted in his kingdom. By the way, that black tank top with the
       flowers is a nice choice."
I rolled my eyes as I rummaged through my closet before trying
to bit back yet another snarl.
"Get the hell out of my head, David!"
I growled as I ultimately took his advice and settled on the
black floral print tank and a pair of jeans. I hurled the
       hangers over my shoulder.
"Who says I'm in your head? Watch it with those hangers would
you? You could really do some damage with them."
I turned to see David ever so casually lounging on my
windowsill, his usual smirk in place.
"How the hell did you get...all the way up there?"
David chuckled and then looked at me with that cool stare he
       seemed to be noted for.
"The same way you and Lottie did that little air ballet in the
living room toward the ceiling fan. Now, would you mind getting
changed so we can be on our way? We're wasting moonlight,
       Fledgling."
I scowled and crossed my arms before giving him a look of
       certain death.
"My name is, Maggie and I will as soon as you leave the room."
David gave me a sly smile and shook his head.
"Oh trust me, you'll get over the modesty act after your first
       sixty years with us, babe."
I was left thoroughly confused and somewhat unsettled as David
brushed himself past me but not before his gloved hand touched
my cheek. A flickering red hot flame caught me and I went up in
flames. I let out that guttural growl I'd been keeping
suppressed and grabbed him by his jacket before pinning him
against the closet door, a look of surprise momentarily crossed
his face before he broke out into a grin.
"Oooh, how very interesting this turned out to be. You're
probably getting a little antsy all cooped up in this apartment.
Your inner animal is starting to show."
I let him go with a shove and quickly shut the bedroom door in
his face. Normally after that kind of display I would have been
shaking and my heart would have been about ready to beat out of
my chest. I changed and sat down at my vanity and studied
myself. My eyes had taken on the same gold tone as Lottie's and
my skin had become almost flawless, even my freckles were gone.
What the hell was he talking about when he said my inner animal
       was showing?
I thought to myself as I finished my makeup and sprayed on my
perfume. One final cursory glance at myself and I commenced with
grabbing a duffel bag and stuffing what was left of my meager
closet into it. I glanced over at my jewelry box and dumped it
in for good measure. Same went for my makeup bag and my most
prized possession, the crucifix that my Mother had given to me
after my first communion. I felt slight trepidation as I went to
pick it up and let out a scream as it nearly burned itself into
       the flesh of my hand.
       "What the hell?!"
I yelped as I recoiled from where it sit on my bedside table.
Something was up and I was freaked. In a last ditch effort to
having something from "home" I grabbed my ancient stuffed
elephant I'd dubbed Snuffles and stuffed it in along with my
other things. My hand was still smarting from the burn it had
received and I was sure that I'd ended up with some sort of
third degree burn. I was already out in the hallway as I looked
down at my hand, not a burn or scratch to be hand but the pain
was still there. David and Michael we all but lounging in the
living room when I tossed my bag at David's feet and gave him a
       glare.
"Someone looks like they picked up a crucifix."
David groused as he sat up and looked at me, almost studying me
before I gave him an even darker look as I perched myself on the
arm of an overstuffed leather chair.
       "You didn't..."
Michael said as he and David looked at me I looked away.
       "You did!"
David gave me a slight smirk that I wanted to slap right off his
face before coming over to me and wrapping an arm around me.
"You've got so many things to learn yet but what I want to know
is how you managed to bait your prey without our help.
Fledglings require quite a bit of blood when they're first
       turned..."
I raised an eyebrow and then rolled my eyes.
"What are you talking about? Sorry but I'm not some sort of
       blood freak."
Michael held up the Santa Carla Gazette and splashed across the
front page in large bold black and white print was a chilling
       sentence.
       Local Man Still Missing
A picture of our landlord was right alongside the article and I
       let out a strangled scream.
       "Lottie! Get out here!"
Lottie came hurtling out of her room dressed immaculately and
holding her own overnight bag that filled to capacity.
       "What? What's wrong?"
       "We...we...ohmygodLottieweateMr.Wilson!"
Lottie looked from me to the paper and back again and shook her
       head.
"No, why would we do that? We're not...we're not serial
       killers..."
Michael raised an eyebrow and held up another edition of the
       Gazette.
"Well, by last count five men have gone missing, so yes, in all
theory you two are a serial killing duo."
David let out a snort as he wrapped an arm around me again and
       grinned.
"Looks like these ladies are a regular pair of blood thirsty
killers, just what we need. Although even we have rules, care to
tell these lovelies what they are, Michael?"
Michael grinned a toothy grin at us as Lottie and I exchanged
       worried glances.
"No women with children, no kids, no invalids no matter how much
they beg, and for the love of all that is unholy if you drain
someone remember to dump the body off the end of the pier. It's
easier to make them chum than it is to explain to some local why
you're digging a grave somewhere in the middle of the night. We
hunt as a pack or in pairs, during the winter we take what we
can get by going to the butchers or the blood banks. Oh, and
money is pooled together every first of the month for the winter
       nest egg."
David nodded in agreement as he hefted my bag onto his shoulder
and led us out of our once becoming little apartment.
"What about the rest of our things?"
Lottie asked as Michael helped her up onto the back of his
motorcycle, a look of worry crossed her face. I couldn't blame
her, we'd gone halves on everything and didn't ask for a cent
from our parents. This place was truly ours and we were hell
bent on keeping it that way.
"We'll have Dwayne and Marko come over some night this week, one
of their friends works for a moving service. We could use a few
more things in the home decor department for one of the inner
       chambers."
Michael said as he looked over at David who merely nodded and
looked as if he were in deep thought. He offered me his arm and
helped me to settle in on the back before we tore off for parts
unknown in the Santa Carla moonlight. I had a feeling that this
was only the beginning of something much much larger than either
Lottie or I ever expected. But honestly, I was happy to out
again with the wind whipping my face and my senses all but
singing with the music of the night. As I glanced over at
Lottie I could tell she felt the same way, she'd flashed me a
feral grin that David and Michael had roped us in with. I
couldn't help but send her back one of my own as we neared
       Hudson's Bluff.

Another wonderful update you have here! I can't quite believe
they fed off of their landlord, though, that really made me
laugh. Also loved the pair of them defying gravity and I think
they should have had two female best friends in the film just to
include that bit, aha. Can't wait to see what happens next now
that they're starting their new lives :D

Ahh, thank you thank you! Honestly, neither can I. Those two are
some crafty ladies indeed, haha. I say we do a rewrite of the
movie just to add in these two. ;) I'm sorry for the lack of
Lottie and Michael in this update but I can promise that they'll
make a larger appearance in the one following after it.
Later That Evening (Home Sweet Home)
"Let me get this straight, you want us to sleep suspended from a
beam? How the hell is that even remotely comfortable?"
I asked David as we each settled in to wait out the worst part
of the storm. Marko had gone off with Dwayne and Paul to collect
the rest of our furniture from the apartment and Lottie was off
       with Michael exploring the caverns.
David who was sitting deep in thought in his makeshift throne,
he'd been quiet since we'd left
Our night of fun had been cut short by a rather nasty tropical
storm front that moved in as we milled about the boardwalk so we
ended up stopping by the local blood bank to stock up on
rations. I had a feeling that this storm would be a rather
interesting test of our patience with one another.
David and I had been left in the "main room" to construct a
would be door of sorts to block the wind and rain from
extinguishing the barrels that served as a light and heat
source. Why the guys needed heat was beyond me but I suppose
even they needed a few creature comforts. I'd yet to be given a
tour of the rest of the chambers but from the looks of the place
I could tell I was in for a treat.
"Well, jeesh, talk my ear off why don't you. Do me a favor and
pass me that hammer would you, please?"
David was obviously lost in his thoughts as he stared at me
through the flames of one of the barrel and didn't move an inch
from his ramshackle throne. I let out a sigh as I reached for
the hammer and grabbed a few nails in the process before going
to work on the reinforcing beam that crossed the plywood. Within
ten minutes a makeshift door was constructed and I'd ended up
with a badly brushed thumb and a bit of grumpy outlook.
       "Damn...stupid...door!"
I muttered as I rammed it in place and held my poor thumb, tears
threatening to spill from my eyes. I heard a low chuckle echo
throughout the room and turned to find David looking at me
intently, that grin plastered on his face. He sauntered over in
a quiet swish of his jacket and appraised my work with an eye of
       a master craftsman.
       "You're doing just fine...for a girl."
"I thought you were going to ignore me for the rest of our
unlife together. So, since you're in a talkative mood feel free
to tell me how the hell am I supposed to get comfortable on one
of those steel bars, David dear. I'm just dying to know."
I muttered as I threw my good hand into the air with a flourish
and gleam in my eye. David moved closer and took my hand into
his own and looked at me, the flames from the fire reflecting in
them. The air around us seemed to change, something had shifted
and it lit up the cave with an electric jolt.
"You'll learn to adjust, if it's any consolation you won't be
alone. I'll only be right next to you. I've got a sneaking
suspicion that you're a cuddler. Given some of the books you
read and things you write in your diary my suspicions are
       correct."
I scowled at David and crossed my arms, attempting to make
myself seem bigger, I failed terribly and merely ended up
looking like some defiant child. Something David must have found
endearing since he reached out and stroked my cheek for a
       moment.
"What right do you have to go through my things?! When did you
find the time to actually go through my things?"
David inched ever closer to me, the end result of his inching
literally ended with me having my back up against the wall, his
eyes boring deep into the space where my soul was once held.
"I'm the leader, simple as that. I have every right, Maggie and
the sooner you learn that the better off we'll be. The last time
I checked you were mine, we're bonded blood to blood my
beautiful girl. You're one of us, I am yours and you are mine.
Don't believe me? Check that mark on your neck."
A feeling of horror came over me as I reached up and felt the
left side of my neck. Two puncture wounds that had since scarred
over all but came alive as I touched them. I let out a guttural
growl as I lunged for David and pinned him to the cold stone
floor of the cave, that same smirking smile was still on his
       face.
"Oh feisty! I knew there was more to you than meets the eye,
Maggie. That's why we're quite the pair, you even had to admit
it that night on the beach. You and I are one."
Weeks worth of memories came flooding back and I was in overload
as snippets replayed themselves over and over in my mind. The
winds, the sound of mingled laughter and screams as we stormed
the beach, the waves crashing to the shoreline as countless
people were slaughtered. The air had been thick with the
sickeningly sweet smell of burnt flesh as the bodies were thrown
unceremoniously into the bonfires, the cold bitter smell of the
sea, and the metallic scent of blood as it was splashed across
the sand and shone in the moonlight like rubies nestled in silk.
I had paired off with David as Lottie went off with Michael,
ultimately leaving Paul, Dwayne, and Marko to wait a moment to
feed as we herded person after person toward the darker ends of
the beach, startling them as if they were cattle and draining
them with cruel efficiency. It didn't matter that I saw him for
what he truly was because we were one in the same, covered in
blood or not were truly were one that night and it was sealed
with the mark we'd given each other. David was right, we were
       one.
"I'd never do a thing to hurt you, Margaret. Please know that."
David traced his hand over my cheek and down the side of my
neck, his fingers deftly dancing over my mark as I loosened my
grip on his coat lapels and emitting a low purr at his touch
       traced over my collar bone.
"I know, David. I know and I'd never hurt you either, I swear."
I was only then that I noticed I was all but straddling David
and feeling more than a bit self conscious about it. If I could
have blushed, I surly would have. My moment of self
consciousness came back to bite me in the arse. The next thing I
knew I was the one on my back being straddled and feeling more
than a bit prone as David's lips trailed their way down my neck
and nipping and licking a frenzy before he bared his teeth at me
and I willingly showed him my neck. It was a sign of
submissiveness but I could care less. I let out a strangled
moan and growl as I felt his fangs break the skin and my field
of vision became nothing more than a blank canvas of black spots
intermingled with the shadows of the flames that flickered about
the room. The distant pounding of footsteps brought us out of
our revelry and back into the land of the living, or as close as
we could get to it anyway. One by one Dwayne, Paul, and Marko
filed in each burdened down with boxes of various things and
       each wearing quite the grin.
"The furniture's on the way...woah...maybe we should come
       back..."
Marko muttered as he set down his load and motioned for Dwayne
and Paul to do the same, each exchanging a look between
themselves and all but running for one of the corridors that
lead them deeper into the caves.
"Hold it! Finish bringing in the girls' things and then you can
       tuck tail and hide, boys."
David barked from his spot on the floor above me. His tone
seemed so cold and distant that it startled me, surly he
wouldn't talk to Lottie or I in such a way in the future. A
slight shake of his head signaled that he'd heard my thought and
       answered my question, no.
They need to be disciplined. They need structure.
His voice sounded in my head as I bit back a chuckle.
Then what are Lottie and I doing here?
Paul, Marko, and Dwayne had hoisted the rest of our furniture in
and set it down before departing and making themselves scarce.
David turned his attentions back to me.
"You're both here to help them become all that they can be. They
need a...feminine touch if you will."
I let out a snort as I looked at David and then let out a laugh.
His face was as serious as heart attack.
"You sound like Peter Pan when he asked Wendy to be the Lost
       Boys' mother, David."
David nodded and let out a sigh.
"That's essentially what we are. We've been lost boys for years
and years now. I was the first, and then it went on to be Paul,
Dwayne, Marko, and Michael, and then you and Lottie. We've lost
our families over the years but we've built one over time. Now,
with you two here with us we're complete."
Something crossed David's face, I wasn't sure what it was
exactly but deep in his eyes I could see the deepest kind of
sadness, those were the eyes of a man that had seen many things
and had lost even more. I gave him a soft smile and a peck on
the cheek, reassuring him that I was there.
Somewhere deep within I heard Lottie let out a yelp and then a
       laugh.
"Seems like we aren't the only ones laying claim to places
       tonight."
I muttered as I untangled myself from David and helped him to
his feet, I could have sworn I saw a rather elegant pout grace
       his features.
"As long as they're not anywhere near my writing room I don't
care. From the sounds of it it looks like we'll be sleeping
       here."
A series of carnal sounds came up from the deeper parts of caves
and David and I exchanged looks as we settled in next to one
another on the cushions under the canopy to the left of the
room. The storm had picked up outside and the waves crashed
along the rocky coastline below the cave. Ever so slowly my
eyelids fluttered closed and I felt David pull me close and
cover me with one of the many blankets that had been strewn
about the makeshift bed. Soft plumes of dust settled over us as
we drifted into the sleep of the undead, neither of us having a
       care in the world.

No need for apologies at all! this was another wonderful update
and I love the connection between Magz and David. They make
quite the pair; and I felt really bad for David when you
mentioned how much he had lost :/ I imagine he was that way in
the film, too. Not many people see it though because he is
essentially portrayed as a horror, but he really isn't. I think
all he needs is love and he did not have that with Star.. I'm
glad he's got Magz :3 and I wish she had been his other half in
the film. Can't wait for another update!!
