Oooh! I love Bluebell's outfit and the song, not to mention the
banner and you've named her after one of my favorite flowers! I
seriously can not wait for the first update! :D

I'm glad you like the outfit, song and banner! I think Bluebell
is a gorgeous name, and I wanted to stick with flower names
because of Princess Lili, haha.
I will begin this any moment now! ^_^

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been
rearranged by the hands of man – Author Unknown
Sunrise is one of the few beautiful moments nature has blessed
us with, but sunset outshines it by the subtle purple and pink
pastel colours. As I glanced ahead at the sun slowly falling
beneath the horizon, a warm feeling rose from my stomach and
ignited my cheeks with its flame. Below, small creatures and
delicate flowers frolicked in the light breeze that blew softly
through the overhanging trees. Such a wonderful place was this,
and yet those who shared four walls with me back home would
never understand how special it had become, to me. Over several
days, I had been fleeing from my small cottage near the palace,
just to come here and watch nature take its course. On my
travels, I had befriended a fair few woodland creatures. But my
favourite of all was a boy named Jack. He was very much a forest
child, and spent all of his time walking and talking with the
animals in this wood. Having known him only a short while, we
had yet to be properly introduced. I merely watched him from a
distance most of the time, fearful of his ways. Jack was not a
scary character, oh no. He was as gentle as a heavenly dove, and
yet the way in which he held his anger inside of him frightened
me enough to hold me far away from contact. I treasured the idea
that one day we might finally meet, and he would brush away all
of my worries with the voice that so magically calmed his
woodland friends. Each day, I would hide within a small clearing
at the edge of the forest, and watch with wonder as he played
with and spoke to these creatures. It was an enchanting sight to
see.
As a strip of the sun was still visible just over the horizon, I
raised my hand to my eyes at the gentle flash, smiling brightly
when Jack appeared over the hills not too far away. He came
bounding over the pebbles and jumping over patches of grass.
Invisible to his eyes, I crept silently through the clearing and
wandered a little deeper into the wood, being sure to remain
hidden. Beneath me, a twig snapped and caused a soft echo to
bounce around me. I stopped moving and froze on the spot, afraid
he might have picked up on the sound, but when I looked over
toward him, he was nowhere to be found. My stomach that was once
calm and collected, broke out into miniature butterflies with
worry. What if he had heard the sound? Could he have heard it at
all? Where is he now?
"Who are you?" came a voice from somewhere up above.
Frightened, I threw myself to the ground and buried my head in
my hands, rocking back and forth like a small child who had just
been told off. My reaction must have shocked the poor boy, as he
jumped swiftly from a branch and landed directly in front of me.
"Please, forgive me. This is your home, I should not have come
here" I said, slowly pulling my hands away from my face.
His eyes sparkled as he looked at me, and mine did just the
same. His stare was piercing, yet it was impossible to turn
away. It was almost as though he had never seen a human girl
before, which made me smile despite the situation. My lips
curled upwards and I felt my cheeks heating up as he moved a
little closer. He was inspecting me, or so it seemed. When he
reached out a hand toward my face, I gasped, scaring him and
causing him to jump back in fear.
"Oh, it's alright. I won't hurt you" I said, softly.
Doubtful, but still highly intrigued, he crawled a little closer
once more. His hand came up again and he ever so lightly twirled
one of his fingers around the curls in my hair. I tried very
hard to stifle a laugh, but his behaviour was much too adorable
to ignore.
"What is your name?" he asked.
"Bluebell. Pleased to meet you, Jack" I said, holding out my
hand.
He tilted his head a little toward his shoulder and looked at me
with surprise. I suppose he was wondering how I knew his name,
but there would be time for that a little later. Now however, it
appeared I needed to teach him a few simple gestures. Jack
looked at my hand as though expecting it to do something
mysterious, and he looked more than a little troubled when it
did nothing.
"Jack, you need to hold out your hand" I said, grinning.
He did as I asked, almost knocking my chin as he thrust his hand
toward my face and smiled brightly, proud of himself. I cackled
at his cuteness and pulled his hand down with mine, shaking it
up and down slowly so he understood. Still somewhat confused at
first, he frowned at what was happening, but soon recovered and
smiled genuinely at me. I returned his smile and found myself
clinging tightly to his hand, not wanting to let go. Despite his
obliviousness to more common gestures, he seemed to be
entertained by the fact that my hand would not drop his when he
tried to pull away. His grin broadened and he moved closer
again.
"Bluebell, my favourite flower" he said, now getting much closer
than I would have liked.
Whilst my legs were underneath me, I found it terribly difficult
to move back far enough, away from his approaching face. I could
only go so far without breaking my back, and just as I thought
that might happen, he stopped a few inches away and revealed his
tongue.
"Why, you cheeky little devil" I said, smacking his arm lightly.
"Jack, do not find me weird, but I have been watching you for a
short while now, and I was wondering…" I said, unable to finish
my sentence.
His hand came up and covered my mouth so I could not utter
another word. I was very confused as he kept me quiet a few
moments longer, before revealing what he wanted to say.
"I know" he said.
His smile was as bright as the sun would shine, and when he
stood and offered his hand to me, I took it and beamed as he
pulled me along. We spent some time talking about his life, the
friends he has made within this wood, and those he had lost. I
felt my heart shatter when his face fell at the mention of his
dearest woodland companion having bravely lost its life some
years back. As I watched him, his hand still holding mine whilst
he pulled me alongside him toward our destination, I marvelled
at how beautiful he was. His brown hair hung just a little over
his shoulders, and his eyes were like stars under the light of
the moon.
Jack turned to me as we walked over a small stream, watching as
I stumbled across and tried in vain to keep my shoes from
getting wet. Apparently, the pebbles were only friendly with
Jack, for he had crossed them without slipping once into the
cold water.
"What is so funny?" I asked, hurt that he was now laughing at my
misfortune.
He said nothing and grinned sheepishly as he reached for my
other hand and helped me across the stream. It was only a
shallow one, and was rather narrow, but my clumsiness got the
better of me more often than not it seemed. I was thankful just
to reach the other side without stepping in it again. Thanking
him, I released my hand from his and bounded through the
overgrown flowers up ahead. I was so lost in my own world that I
did not hear Jack calling out to me, telling me to slow down and
come back to him.
"Bluebell!" he shouted, but it was merely a faint buzz to my
ears.
Before I could take another step, I spotted something truly
magnificent just across the way. In the middle of a clearing
surrounded by sakura trees sat a gorgeous white fox. It had eyes
as blue as the ocean, and paws as black as night. It's fur coat
was a wonderful shade of snow, and it simply lay there as the
small sakuras wisped down toward it, coating it as a blanket
would.
"Bluebell, come away from there" I heard Jack call.
Ignoring his cries for me to fall back and leave the fox alone,
I crawled toward it ever so quietly, hoping I would not disturb
its peaceful perch beneath a tree. The tree under which it lay
had thousands and thousands of sakura flowers ready to fall from
it. My hands became tainted with grass stains and I just knew my
knees would be the same after this, but still I moved closer and
closer to the beautiful creature, desperate to get a better
look. It was an unfortunate quality of mine. Wanting and needing
were never easy to tell apart when it came to reality, at least
not with my way of thinking. If I saw something I liked and it
was within reach, I had to have it, or in this case touch it.
"Bluebell" Jack called again, but before I had chance to ignore
him this time, he landed on me.
Shocked, I lay ever so still on my back with my eyes tightly
closed, afraid of whatever had pounced on me like that. My hands
shook as I brought them up to shield my face, but then a warm
voice eased the tension.
"It's alright, Bluebell. It's Jack" he said, laying one of his
hands over mine.
"Jack! You frightened me" I said, scowling in a very unladylike
manner.
He only laughed at the look on my face and attempted to lean a
little closer once more, but I rolled and sat up before he had
chance. The hurt on his face was clear as day, despite the
gloomy shadows caused by the trees. As I looked at him, I
smoothed down my skirt and rid my knees of the faint green they
had accumulated. I stood from my spot carefully, so as not to
scare off the fox that was still laying carelessly a few feet
from us both.
"Jack, will you take me to Amaranthine Lake?" I asked, hopeful.
Without a word spoken, he grabbed my hand in his and pulled me
back in the direction we had come from. I smiled along the way
until he brought me right back to where we had met just a short
while ago. I frowned at him and begged with my eyes, afraid that
my words would not do justice.
"You deliberately disobeyed me" he said, turning his back on me
and stepping out of the clearing and into the darkness of the
trees.
I fought back tears as I looked all around me, unable to see
where he had gone and finding it hard to define his location
based on his voice. He continued to belittle me and after a
short while, I gave up and fell to the ground in defeat. His
words rung through my head and brought back memories I had long
since forgotten. It would take another lifetime to be rid of
them now, and all the while I only imagined how right he was. I
had disobeyed him by choosing to ignore his cries for me to
stop, and yet I went ahead anyway. My foolish nature was no
match for his otherworldly personality, and I knew in that
moment we could never be friends, especially if he thought of me
as someone completely disobedient. I was seldom this way, which
I wished he only understood. As he kept on tossing questions and
sarcasm at me, further tears slipped down my cheeks.
"Very well, Jack. I will leave now, and you will never hear from
me or see me again" I said.
I stood from my spot on the ground as the clouds up above
blanketed the moon for a split second. The wood went dark; pitch
black and silent as death. Caring nothing of any danger in that
moment, I stormed off in no particular direction, not knowing
where I was going or where I might end up.
"No, I'm sorry. Please, I'd like to see you again" Jack said,
his voice faint somewhere behind me.
I turned around fully, hoping to see him standing there, but
found him hanging upside down from a low branch just above me.
Startled, I let out a shriek and almost broke his nose as I
attacked his face with my hands. I realised only a moment later
that he wasn't going to hurt me, but he had already jumped down
from the branch and was now crouched down beside me as I'd
fallen to the ground. My head swam with so many thoughts that I
could not keep up. His beauty, his voice, his caring nature, all
those thoughts told me what they wanted me to do, and yet I
could not bring myself to do it.
Almost as though he read my mind, he leaned down toward me. My
breath caught in my throat momentarily as he lingered no more
than an inch from my lips. As the seconds passed in silence, the
only sound that could be heard was the beating of our hearts.
Mine, a thumping rhythm against my chest, and his, a calm and
steady beat. It dawned on me when his lips connected with mine
that he must surely know what he is doing, or else his eyes
would not have told me everything earlier when we were first
introduced.
"Bluebell, will you come back?" he asked, pulling away and
sitting beside me.
Though a little dazed still from our childlike kiss, and very
smitten with the boy beside me, I managed to sit up from my
laying position and look at him with very serious eyes. My face
remained blank and uncaring, but my eyes told a thousand
stories, just as his did. It took him a while before he realised
I was merely playing games with him. He beamed as though the
small child inside of him had just been given a box full of
candy, and all I could do was smile back.
"Of course, Jack. I will be back tomorrow.." I said, hoping he
would accept my decision to return so soon.
With a smile and a nod, he pulled me from my sitting position as
he heaved himself off the ground also. He held my hands in his
for the longest time, looking longingly into my eyes until
breaking both connections with a fading grin.
I watched him race off toward the hills once more, delighting in
his movements and ability to be so carefree, roaming the woods
knowing nothing of unhappiness. How I longed to be like him, to
spend my days and nights surrounded by the blissful feel of
nature and all its wonders.
Perhaps one day, even soon, he will welcome me into his home
with open arms.
(Was just a short fic, but I hope it was okay!)

Where do I start?! For starters, I felt like I was walking right
along with them in that forest! I loved when Bluebell and Jack
met face to face and she offered him her hand. I can just see
the look on poor Jack's face. Perhaps there will be a second
part in the future? I adored it my dear! A+++ in my book :D

Oh there will definitely be a second part sometime in the near

I have plans for their wedding and their little boy ;) probably
shouldn't have given that away, but it's all in my head so I'll
make a note of it here xD just so I don't forget to start
another update, haha. I'm so pleased you liked this and I
apologise for it being so short. I'll get to work on the next

[glow=green,2,300]Sing a song and for a moment.. You will be
visited by the wind.. Sing a song and for a moment.. Dream
sweetly of the wind.. Sleep now until the night is dawn.. The
wind and the night song, they are there.. However the song, my
child, will go on forever..[/glow]
It was only during the twilight hours that fond memories
fluttered into my head, like wisps of wind, merely passing by. I
recalled one memory in particular and it grew stronger the more
concentration I devoted toward it. My imagination seeminly
brought it to life until there was absolutely no mistaking it at
all. A memory of a boy who had not been much older than myself
at the time. Now, after a couple of years, he would no doubt
have forgotten me. My promise to him had been sacred and I had
broken it. My father had not allowed me to enter the forest
again after the encounter I told him of. He suggested it would
be wise for me to find elsewhere to go wandering, so long as it
did not involve the male species. Having scoffed at his
proposal, it only backfired. His word was final and I had not
set foot on forest grounds in just over three years. Now, a
bright and breezy 24 year old with a mind of her own and need to
disobey her elders, I felt an adventure creeping up on me.
In only a matter of seconds, my body flung itself out of bed and
rushed straight over to my clothes drawer, pulling out several
articles that I clearly did not need. The weather outside was
beautiful, what with the warmth of the morning sun floating in
over the horizon and the gentle breeze that blew through my
window. It was a day for gallivanting and I wasn’t prepared to
waste any more time. Of the clothes I had strewn across my
unmade bed, I picked up a lilac top and matching silk skirt. My
shoes, a simple pair of flats that were also a soft purple
colour. If only the forest were the same shade; I just might be
able to remain hidden from anything and anyone that lingered
within it. Rather than leave such a mess for my fathers maid to
clean up after me, I had to remind myself of my age several
times before gathering my clothes and folding them neatly back
into their respective drawers – going over each pile to be sure
nothing was missing. And last but not least, I donned my latest
birthday gift from my father and it looked as new as ever. With
small sparkles reflecting off of it, I watched fondly as they
danced upon my ceiling. When I was just a girl, my elders would
call such lights little Tinkerbells and that particular name had
stuck with me for years. It seemed unlikely that I would turn to
calling them by their scientific name, as opposed to one I’d
grown to adore. And it made sense, too.
As the little Tinkerbells continued to dance on my ceiling and
walls, I pushed open the window just a bit further and hung out
of it for a moment. The gentle breeze caked my face with both
warmth and the faded scent of the ocean situated just a few
short miles from my home. My home, something I often referred to
as a castle more than anything else, was a very intimidating
plot of land from the outside. On the inside though, it was a
lot more welcoming and easy on the eyes. My father, you see, was
quite a wealthy man but by no means was he any kind of royalty
else we would be living in even finer quarters.
“Father, I shall go on my morning stroll now. Perhaps I will
return a little later on this day,” I called, stopping just
outside his bedroom door as I knew full well I always woke
before him.
Hearing absolutely no response, or even a grumble, I gave the
door a soft knock and listened closely. Still, there was
nothing. Pressing my ear up against the solid oak, a faint snore
rumbled through it and I chuckled. So, he was still well away in
la la land and I needn’t worry about convincing him of my
ventures today. That sat perfectly well with me and without a
moments hesitation, I skipped through the hallway and straight
down the stairs toward the main doors. We had no giant knocker
on these – only a tiny bell resting atop a small stool just
outside of the castle – for those who wanted to request entry.
My journey to the forest was a peaceful one, as expected. No
trouble came my way and it was already within my line of vision.
Already, I could hear the distinct sound of cuckoo birds as they
chirped their merry little tunes in time with the pitter patter
of my footprints. Nature was one of the earths most treasured
aspects, at least some people believed so. There were far too
many who chose to destroy it, though. And those were the people
who would soon find themselves in a huge speck of trouble and a
bad case of karma they couldn’t slip out of. Any harm that comes
to nature must surely come back to its cause tenfold, else it
has not learnt its lesson. Many times had I ridiculed the
gardeners back home for trimming beautiful flowers along with
ghastly weeds when they knew full well the flowers were amongst
them. Pure laziness it had been and nothing more. From that day
on, I vowed to do the gardens myself if ever I should catch
anyone repeating the horrid action.
Had I grown too snobbish over recent years? I didn’t like to
believe so, but it was beginning to make itself known and all I
could think of was to stop and start over. This wasn’t the kind
of person I wanted to be. I was turning into my father – and
that was the last thing I wanted for myself. From a young age
I’d promised myself that I’d never try to be like anyone else,
that I would always be an individual no matter what the cost.
And here I was already sounding like my father, with his strict,
ignorant and often abrasive attitude toward others.
Some time with my forest friend would soon sort out that mess,
though. I knew so, even if others would often call me foolish
for believing in such childish fantasies. Even strolling through
the forest would wash away all possible negative emotions and it
was quite like bathing in holy water. The gentle flow of a small
stream caught my attention and I strained my ears to better hear
the sound. There was nothing like the merry trickle of water and
on such a beautiful day as well. I was lucky to have chosen such
attire, else I might very well have melted on the spot as soon
as I’d stepped out of the castle.
The rustling of leaves not far behind me had me frightened. It
was most likely an animal, but I hoped it was not too large and
that I could perhaps take it on if need be. My worry grew by the
second and with small steps, I backed up away from the sound
whilst keeping my eyes on a bush that moved every once in a
while. Whatever it was surely knew by now that I was there, what
with the minute noises my feet made as they collided with the
earth beneath them. All I wanted to do was break out into a full
on sprint, but that would only provoke the animal and if it was
indeed larger than I could handle, I’d be in trouble. What had
my forest friend taught me about fending off such creatures? I
couldn’t recall a thing through my fear. He had given me tips
and tricks and told me to remember them, just in case I happened
to find myself in a spot of trouble. Well, I was now without
both my sanity and rationality. A wild animals breakfast wasn’t
something I had signed on for when I woke up this morning and by
all accounts, my fate was now inevitable. As I continued to step
back slowly, a paw crept through the bush that my eyes remained
fixed upon and I growled. That paw was less than half the size
of my hand so I was not in any kind of danger at all.
With a heavy sigh, I turned on my heel and continued on my way,
only to have whatever had been hiding follow me along my path.
Slowly, my attention was drawn toward it and my eyes were met
with such a beautiful sight. A snow coloured fox it was, with
baby blue eyes and a soft pink nose. My hands wanted to reach
out and pet its fur, but I knew better than that. It could very
well turn malicious and try to bite off my fingers.
“Bountie!.. where are you boy?” a male voice called, to which
the fox’s ears perked up and he listened intently to the sound
of his master.
I had no idea that keeping a fox was even legal, but putting two
and two together, that was all I could come up with. The fox had
responded to the voice and that was no doubt his name, thus
leading me to believe the voice belonged to its owner. A part of
me wanted to hang around and wait for the man to turn up, but
another part of me wanted to run as far away from human contact
as possible. Either way, it was too late to make that decision
as the voice grew louder. Whoever it was wasn’t too far away now
and the little fox was curled up between my feet as though I’d
offer it some kind of protection.
“Come on fella, we need to go to the lake before the faeries
rise,” the man called, now sounding dangerously close but he was
nowhere in my line of vision, no matter where I looked. “Or
perhaps you would much rather stay with this overgrown faerie
you’ve encountered.”
Gulping, I tried to turn around to face the owner of said voice,
but the fox remained between my feet and would not budge for
anything. Again, those last few words echoed in my head and I
wondered why I felt so threatened. It was harmless enough,
right? Just a joke between strangers and nothing more, but no,
my head continued to ridicule my gullible ways and told me to
get the hell out of there. The man, whoever he was, was standing
not too far behind me and that was more or less the reason why I
felt so afraid. I was utterly defenseless if he decided to try
anything and it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Speaking of tea, that
sounded quite lovely at the moment – if only I could get out of
this sticky situation.
“Do you think you could let my little companion go now, miss” he
said, now stepping a little closer.
Still, I was unable to turn around to get a look at who was
standing there, but a part of me didn’t really want to do that.
All I wanted to do was wait for the fox to move so I could run
for the hills, but it didn’t seem too keen on leaving me.
Carefully, I leaned forward and reached my hands down toward the
fluffy little animal and gently patted its fur to be sure it
wouldn’t jump up and take a chunk out of my hand. It didn’t even
move, but it was still breathing, so that was a good sign.
Sighing again, I managed to squeeze my hands under its stomach
and with ease, lifted it off the ground and into my arms. In
return, I received a small yelp and lick to my cheek which I
soon wiped away with the sleeve of my shirt. Yuck, fox drool all
over my face this early in the morning, god only knows where
it’s been.
“Here you are, sir” I said, turning to face the stranger with
the adorable little fox still in my arms. A huge smile grew on
my lips as my focus remained on the creature when he began to
play with my hand. His little paws patted away at my palm each
time I tried to tickle him and he continued to let out small
yelps as though still finding his voice.
“You still have it then, Bluebell” the man said, finally
capturing my full attention as I looked up at te mention of my
name. “Still remember everything I taught you, hm?” he asked.
My eyes turned into saucers at the sight before me and I very
nearly dropped his fluffy companion. Quickly, I handed him over
and turned on my heel to head in the other direction. Why? I did
not know. The sole reason I’d ventured into the forest today was
to hopefully find my long lost friend, but now it seemed as
though I didn’t even wish to be around him. Maybe there was
denial in there, or just guilt perhaps. Of course, it had to be
guilt and nothing more, for I had broken such a heavy promise
and he must surely loathe me by now.
“Leaving so soon?” he called, the rusling of leaves indicating
he had followed my steps.
