Forgive me but my Cassi/Lucius story is on hold due to lack of
inspiration for now. (I blame Lucius entirely, haha) This one's
been eating at me a bit.
Author's Note : *Disclaimer* - Please know that this is a work
of pure fiction. I'm but a humble writer and I don't make a cent
from these works, I just write them for my own and the enjoyment

       I promise. :-)
       Summary:
Frank Dillon's been through the ringer, veteran that's seen
hell, newly divorced, and scarred physically and emotionally. He
thought his life couldn't get much worse. Little did he know
that the boys from his old unit decided to give their down and
out leader a little welcome home gift in the form of a wild
American woman by the name of Angeline Bishop. Will it be a
clash of wills or just what he needs?

First things first, I love the title of this story! ;)
Your summary has me quite impatient over here. I'm really
looking forward to this one and I wanna know how Frank handles
such a woman! and no worries at all over the Lucious story being
on hold :D I've done that to you with my stories far too much,
haha. This one sounds very interesting and I can't wait for it
       to begin!

Why thank you my dear! I've got the first bit right here, I
think it may be a bit fast paced for the first go around but I
hope you like it. I can promise you that the Lucius story will
be up one of these days. I'm so so sorry that this is so short.
       December Aldershot ( Spearmint Lounge)
       “Crap, crap, crap!”
I muttered to myself as I barreled down the street at top speed,
my heels clicking in rapid time as I hit the door tried to calm
my frazzled nerves. I'd been booked for a private party that
was only an hour away and I still needed to get set up. The
elderly bar tender had to do a double take as I ordered a glass
of seltzer water with lemon and went about setting up my space.
“Uh...May I ask if you need any assistance?”
Came a soft question as I cleaned down one of the support poles
that was in the building, this place certainly wasn't meant to
be a dancer's dream place but it would do, I'd been in worse
places back home. I kicked off my shoes and smiled as I took a
       sip of my drink.
“No thank you, I'm good to go. Uh, you wouldn't happen to know
anything about tonight's festivities, would you?”
The elderly man smiled as he handed me a plain envelope and a
       piece of paper.
“Frank's come home from the third ring of hell and the boys in
his unit decided to send in some relief, that'd be you my dear.
Just show him a good time, I've never met a man that needs it
more then he does right now.”
I raised an eyebrow at the notes that were made on the piece of
paper, almost like a check list. I let out a laugh that startled
       the poor bartender.
Find American dancer, preferably brunette – check
Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar on Me- check (my signature song)
       Get Frank buzzed -
Leave Frank in capable hands of dancer -
I raised an eyebrow at the last one and felt panic set in. I was
going to be responsible for this poor fellow and one thing could
lead to another. No wonder they'd offer to pay me so much they
knew I only did clean dances and they wanted me to take care of
him. This was going to be a load of fun. I heard the door swing
open a gaggle of whooping men, obviously three sheets to the
wind, came in and settled themselves at the bar. One, I noted
looked forlorn with downcast eyes and a hang dog expression. My
heart was already aching for him and I hadn't even met him yet.
I could tell the man was stoic but hell with those eyes and that
face I was going weak in the knees. Why couldn't all my private
clients look like him? I gave the cheeky red headed I'd spoken
to over the phone a small wave and made my way back to the back
room to get changed. There was knock at the door and I found
myself introduced to Jimmy Hammond, the red head from the bar.
“I can't thank you enough for doing this, Ms. Bishop. Frank
really means a lot to us and he's gone through a hell of a rough
       patch.”
I nodded as I walked out and over to my dancing area and set up
       the track.
“I know, I was in his position two years ago. I'll be starting
as soon as you're ready so you might want to get him over here.
By the way, do me a favor will you? Let him know that the dancer
you hired think he's quite the handsome man.”
Jimmy looked at me with a grin and all but gave me a hug and
went on his way. I tapped the play option on the sound system
and strutted out ready to give a Mr. Frank Dillon the dance of
       his life.
As I gyrated around the support beam I found myself locking eyes
with Frank who, had started out with a lovelorn look but went
almost wolfish on me as I walked over to him and took him by the
tie drawing his face close to mine and then running my hands
over his broad shoulders. His friends let out whoops as I
straddled his lap circled my hips and then pushed myself off of
him and got on my knees in front of him while running my hands
over his thighs. I noticed that his face went a rather nice
shade of red and that he'd broken out into a cold sweat. As the
song ended I gave him a kiss on the cheek, something dancers
never ever ever do and whispered in his ear.
       “Welcome home, Frank.”
Frank was totally unable to speak as a bead of sweat ran down
his cheek and mouth hung open, his eyes glazed over. He was
done for, my job was complete. I got up to excuse myself and I
found his hand latched onto my wrist.
“Stay, have a drink with us, please.”
I looked down at Frank and could have sworn that his eyes were
       looking into my soul.
“Alright, I'll stay for a drink but just let me get changed
       first.”
I hurried off and came back to find that Frank was waiting for
       me with a small smile.
“Why don't we go back to my place, love? I've got much better
       bourbon then this place stocks.”
It didn't take long for my heart to melt, I could tell he meant
it and that he wasn't under the influence of anything. As we
settled into his apartment with our drinks I felt Frank looking
       at me.
“So, what's your story? You haven't always been a dancer, you're
       too cultured.”
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow as I took a sip and let
the alcohol burn down my throat.
“That's really sweet of you to say, Frank. I was once a dancer
with the Wesley Fergus dance troupe. Toured the world and then I
met a man I thought I loved. We got married, he was a drinker,
hit me one too many times and I filed for divorce. Now, here I
       am. What about you?”
“I put in fifteen years to the British Army, thought I'd seen
everything until they sent me over to some coup in the Northern
part of Ireland. I get a letter from my wife saying she wants a
divorce and the next day my unit's caught in a fire fight. I
retired ended up divorced even though I was dead set against it
and here I am. Enjoying the company of a lovely American lady.”
I felt myself blush in spite of myself as the song on the radio
       changed.
“Care for a dance? Of the mild sort?”
Frank offered me his hand and soon enough we found ourselves
swaying back and forth in the privacy of his living room as the
first flakes of snow fell outside. It felt wonderful to be so
close to someone that was this gentle. If I were his wife I
would have taken those vows seriously.
“Why don't you stay the night? It's coming down out there.”
Before I could even think of a reply we were in quite the lip
lock and my head was swimming. If he was like this all the time
I was ready to just move right in if he'd let me. The next
morning dawned bright and blinding thanks to the gleam off of
the new blanket of snow. My mind reeled from the night before
and I found Frank nestled beside me his face buried in the nape
of my neck his arms secure around my waist. It was as if he's
claimed me as his own and wasn't ever going to let me out of bed
again. I felt a small smile spread across my face as I stroked
the back of his hand. My head kept telling me that things were
moving much much to fast but deep in my heart I knew this was
       meant to be.
“Surely he couldn't love someone like me. I was damaged goods.”
A little voice in the back of my mind whispered causing my body
to go rigid. A kiss was planted on my shoulder a soft murmur
       was whispered into my ear.
       “It's alright, love.”
I found myself drifting back to sleep without a care in the
world for the moment. Time would tell what would become of us.

In love, in love, in love! xD
I love how you started this one and I don't think it's too fast
paced at all. I love both Frank's and Angeline's characters, and
his blushing whilst she was dancing was too adorable :D cannot
       wait for another update!

There's still more to this so never fear! :) I'm so sorry if
I've over used the same old plot here but I can promise that
there's more to it and there will be a steamy scene coming up
not to mention a bit of drama a bit later on.
       Christmas Eve
“Ten past five, they should be here any minute.”
I thought to myself as I took the Christmas roast out of the
oven and finished setting the table in the tiny dining room of
the flat Frank and I now shared. I had sworn his buddies to
secrecy about surprising Frank for his first Christmas home.
From what I'd gathered about his ex wife she wasn't much of a
holiday person. I had decided to go all out and put up a tree
and fix a nice dinner, along with a gift exchange. Jimmy and
Steve came through the front door loaded down with bags and
boxes smiling like a pair of mischievous children. I pulled them
both into a hug and took their various bags and coats before
       ushering them to sit down.
“He's in for a hell of a surprise. This is the first time
anyone's made a fuss over a holiday for him.”
Jimmy said as he poured himself a cup of coffee in the kitchen
and staring at the size of the roast that was resting.
“I've got to hand it to you, you're all about the saying go big
       or go home.”
He looked at the kitchen table and spotted the plate of
Christmas cookies and all but clapped his hands. Steve was busy
trying to open a bag of crisps and grunting in spite of himself.
I calmly took the bag from him and opened it and passed it back
to him as I went about stirring the gravy.
“Oh, I've been meaning to ask you, Ang, a few of the commander's
wives were wondering if you gave dance lessons. They're willing
       to pay you and everything.”
I raised an eyebrow and then I found myself chuckling as I
ladled out the gravy into a gravy boat and set it on the dining
room table. I came back in and plated up the roast and carried
it into the dining room setting it down with a solid thud
making Steve and Jimmy chuckle to themselves. I came back into
the kitchen to get the wine glasses from the draining board and
flitted back and forth between the kitchen and dining room.
“You're kidding right? What kind of dancing lessons do they
want? Certainly not what I used to do.”
Steve, who was busy stuffing his face nodded in utter glee while
he said something unintelligible to Jimmy who grinned.
“Steve here says that his girl, Mandy would love it. The other
ladies just want something to spice things up a bit for when
their men come home on leave.”
I sighed as I came back in and flopped down in a kitchen chair
       and rubbed my temples.
“I'm sorry but I've stopped dancing. If they're looking for a
sitter they can give me a call anytime though.”
Steve and Jimmy exchanged looks and chuckled to themselves.
“I think these two'll be hearing wedding bells, soon enough,
       right Steve?”
Steve nodded as he polished off the bag of crisps and grabbed a
       Christmas cookie.
I heard the front door swing open and the familiar footsteps.
Frank must have stopped and marveled at the sight in the dining
       room.
       “What's all this then, Angie?”
Frank came into the kitchen covered in snow his cheeks bright
red from the cold, making the scar on the left side of his face
stand out even more. He was moving a little slower today which I
assumed was from the cold and his aching bones.
“Happy Christmas, Frank. I thought that since this if your first
official Christmas home we'd have a small get together. Nothing
       big.”
I gave him a peck on the cheek, took his coat and ushered the
three oogling men into the dining room without another word.
“Oh this is too much, you did all this? You must have spent all
       day, Susie would have never...”
Frank stammered as I gave his hand a pat and shot him a soft
       look.
“I'm not Susie, Frank. I wanted to do this for you, for all of
you. Now, I think a toast is in order.”
I raised my glass up with a smile.
“To new friendships, new love affairs, and new beginnings, and
       old friends.”
“Here here! I think this one's a keeper, Frank.”
Jimmy chided as he loaded his plate up with a smile as Steve
       gave me a wink.
“That she is, I'm a right lucky sod, aren't I?”
       April
Winter wore on and soon the change of spring was upon us I found
Frank more and more restless and quiet about things. I could
tell something was on his mind but I just wasn't sure what it
was. The warmer the weather became the more restless he became.
He tossed and turned at night and had a habit of waking up in a
cold sweat screaming. I had bruises on my shins and thighs from
his nightly thrashings. He always woke up in the morning
apologizing like there was no tomorrow feeling even that much
worse about himself. Tonight was no exception, I was awoken by a
blood curdling scream. I sat bolt upright and looked at Frank in
the spring moonlight that streamed in through the window by the
bed. He was already shaking like a leaf with sweat dripping down
       his body.
“Frank, it's ok, really. I know you don't mean to do it.”
I said as I wrapped my arms around him as his heart hammered in
his chest and his breathing hitched a bit as he held on to me
for dear life and his fingers tangled themselves in my hair.
“I..I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry.”
I shushed him much like one would do to an inconsolable toddler,
rocking him back and forth and stroking his back.
“It's going to be ok, Frank. I promise you I'm not going
       anywhere.”
Frank looked at me with wide pain filled eyes and let out a
       shuddering sob.
       “That's was Susie said too...”
I took Frank's face in my hands and looked him in the eye and
said in a determined quiet tone.
“I'm not her, Frank. I'll never be her. I'm a totally different
       person.”
For some strange reason I broke down and cried, something I'd
never done in front of any man, even my own father. Frank wiped
away my tears and kissed my forehead.
“I know, love. I've still got to learn that though.”
“You will, we've just got to give it time, Frank.”
       July
Spring faded into summer and the temperature steadily climbed
making me restless and grumpy in the tiny flat. I had found
steady respectable work as the local baby sitter for the
families surrounding our little area of Aldershot, I was now
Angie Bishop, baby sitter extraordinaire. Frank, on the other
hand was still looking for work and finding bit jobs and working
long hours. We were both happy to have work but the strain was
getting to us. We'd had one good fight and a few things were
broken and names were called, it turned out we were one of those
couples that fighting only made us want each other more. A quick
reconciliation was struck after a tumble between the sheets.
With the constant string of warm weather I found myself find
more and more excuses to clean out the fridge or freezer just to
stick my head in and get some kind of relief. Frank, of course
thought it was hilarious until I chucked a bag of frozen
       vegetables at his head.
“You know you've had the personality of a wet mop these past few
weeks, Angie. It can't just be the heat, love.”
I slumped down into a kitchen chair and scowled. I was in dire
need of a cigarette or a drink, I wanted both in the worse
possible way but the smell of cigarette smoke or alcohol drove
me into the bathroom with a fit nausea that could rival even the
       worst hangover.
       “I'm just...tired. Very very tired.”
Frank looked at me, his brows knit together in concern as he sat
down next to me and pulled me close.
“We'll get you sorted out, maybe you're just under stress with
putting up with all these kids and me not being here. You're
going to be ok, love. I promise.”
       A week later when I knew I wouldn't have any interruptions I
made the best of my time and made a run for the nearest chemist.
Twenty minutes and few odd looks later I bought an at home
pregnancy test and booked it back home. I silently re-read the
       directions and bit my lip.
“You really should have paid more attention in sex ed.”
A little voice whispered to me as I dropped the solution into
the vial and stared at it as it changed color.
“If there's any change from the intense red colour it indicates
       a positive result.”
I read aloud to myself and then stared at the vial that was
sitting on the bathroom counter. In all it's violet glory. Tears
prickled up into my eyes as I felt a panic attack coming on. To
make matters worse I heard shouts from the front drive. I
stuffed the test and directions down into the waste basket and
tried to calm myself down. I hurried down the stairs to see what
the commotion was all about to my horror I saw Jimmy and Steve
carrying Frank up the front walk, his face bashed in and bloody,
his right eye already swelled shut and a hellish shade of
       purple.
       “What the hell happened?!”
I cried as I yanked open the front door and helped them carry
into the living room and lay him down on the couch. Jimmy took
me into the kitchen as helped me get an ice pack ready for Frank
as he lay there unable to say a word.
“He was on his way to sign on and look for work but before he
could make it there he got jumped by some little punks who
thought he'd gotten paid. It's Friday and since he was wearing a
suit for his interview they thought he was made of money. Went
after him with a tire iron of all things.”
My heart shattered for poor Frank as a flame caught spark in my
       eye.
“Do you know their names? Did you see them?”
Jimmy nodded and he watched in horror as I slapped together an
ice pack and grabbed my keys from the hook in the hallway. I
threw the ice pack at a bewildered Steve who was still tending
to Frank and grabbed Jimmy by the sleeve.
“You're taking me to them right now.”
Jimmy stuttered off directions as I took a side street and
almost made him car sick, the engine of my little hatchback
sputtered and the tires squealing. I pulled up in front of the
little ring leader creep's house and got out slamming the door
in my wake. I popped the trunk and got out something I'd never
thought I'd ever have to use again since I'd moved to Aldershot,
       a cement filled lead pipe.
“What are you gonna do, Angie?”
Jimmy sputtered as I stalked up to the front door and rang the
       bell.
“I'm going to murder those little shits!”
Jimmy held me back and took the pipe from my hands trying to
calm me down. I heard the shuffle of feet as someone inside
shuffled about. I looked at Jimmy and motioned for him to go
around back. As soon as those little idiots thought we'd left
they came sneaking out the front door in broad daylight. I
grabbed one of them by the shirt collar and proceeded to shake
the crap out of him. Jimmy had the other two in a double
headlock and they just stood there watching their “fearless
leader” get the crap beaten out of him by a five foot one
       American woman.
“Who the hell do you think you are you little creep!? Beating up
a man that's trying to provide?! Do you even know what he goes
through on a day to day basis, he risked his neck defending your
       freedom!”
The little heathen was now curled up in the fetal position
crying his eyes out and whimpering.
       “I'm...I'm sssorry...we didn't know!”
“Damn right you didn't know! Touch one more person like that no
matter if they're uniformed, in civvies, or otherwise I swear to
god I'll come back and I'll do much worse then a busted lip and
a black eye, you little shite.”
I turned to the others as Jimmy held them down with a wry smile.
“Empty your pockets, all of you. Go on, move!”
Pockets were emptied and their day's loot was emptied out onto
the ground in a neat little pile.
“Jimmy, pick it up would you?”
Jimmy did as he was told and the other two little cronies stood
there in fear as their leader joined them.
“Now, you three are going to properly apologize to Mr. Dillon
the next time you see him.”
       “Yes, Ma'am”
They chorused as Jimmy and I left and made our way back to the
       in silence.
       “So, Uh...”
“Don't tell Frank a word of what happened, Jimmy. Or I swear to
God I'll make it so you're never found.”
“Why'd you get so upset, Ang? They were just stupid kids.”
I gripped the steering wheel until my knuckles went white.
“The same thing happened to my Dad when he came home. I'll be
damned if Frank has to go through the same damn thing. Those
prats might be just stupid kids now but they'll grow up to be
stupid adults. God knows that this world doesn't need anymore of
       those.”
“Spoken like a true woman in love, Angie.”
Later that night after Jimmy and Steve had gone home I was left
to tend to a still bleary eyed Frank.
“You've been cryin', love. What's the matter?”
Came a muffled question from the sofa as I stared off into
space, I'd thought Frank had drifted off to sleep.
“Nothing, nothing. Just tired, is all. How are you feeling?”
“Could be better, I think I've got a bruised rib or something.
       Help me up, yeah?”
I helped Frank up into a sitting position and heard him groan as
his back cracked in a few spots.
“Oh good god, I'm not getting any younger. This is ridiculous.”
As I helped Frank up the stairs and into the bedroom he looked
at me for a moment and then smiled.
“You've been right all along, you're nothing like Susie at all.
She would've left me downstairs to sleep on the couch. Where the
hell were you before I married her, huh?”
I smiled as I got changed for bed and settled in beside Frank
       and sighed.
“I was trying to find a guy like you. Love you, Frank.”
Frank's fingers danced across my arm and made small circular
       patterns up and down.
       “Love you, Ang.”
Before I could think of anything else to say words came tumbling
out of my mouth like dice from a Yahtzee cup.
“If I tell you something you've got to promise me you won't be
       mad.”
Frank looked at me as he planted a kiss on the top of my head.
“I could never be mad at you, love.”
“If I tell you you've got to promise you're not going to be
       upet, Frank.”
“Alright, I promise. Cross my heart, love.”
       “IthinkImightbepregnant.”
“What? I didn't catch a word of that, Angie.”
“I think I might be pregnant, I took a test right before Jimmy
and Steve brought you home and it came up positive. What the
hell am I going to do?”
Frank sat there for a moment, mouth agape eyes, well one eye
wide making an odd squeaking noise.
“Well...we'll be fine, love. We can do this. We'll get you
confirmed and I'll take you to meet my Mum. It's going to be
       just fine.”
       “You're not mad?”
Frank looked at me shocked and shook his head.
“You didn't do this to yourself, I've got a role to play in this
too. We didn't do it intentionally. We'll be just fine. I
       haven't steered you wrong yet.”
“No, you haven't but I don't want you feeling that I've got your
cornered or anything. I mean I could leave...if you wanted me to
       I mean..”
Frank stifled my babbling with a gentle kiss and nuzzled my
       neck.
“You'll do no such thing, you've made me feel that I've finally
got a proper home. We'll work it out, we're just putting the
cart before the horse a bit, we're nontraditional and I like
       that about us.”
I settled in closer to him and found myself finally at ease.
“You certainly have a way with words, Mr. Dillon. A gentleman
and true scholar, is there anything you can't do?”
“Well, I've been told that I can't cook for shite but that's
       neither here nor there.”
“And a comedian to boot. God help me.”
       “You know you love it.”
He was right, there wasn't a thing I could find wrong with him
and I thanked my lucky stars for that.

I loved this update more than words could suggest! and I wanted
to keep on scrolling down the page :D I could have continued
reading that well into the night, haha. I felt awful when Frank
came home all beaten up like that, but the way Angeline acted
toward those idiots was brilliant! all the girl power in the
world is inside that woman and I admire her :D cannot wait for
       another update!!!

Also thought you'd like to see what poor Angie's wearing when
the two love birds go to visit Frank's mother on an over night
       trip.
