I'm quite proud of the combination in that banner. I picked out
the image of Axl specifically for the braided her, as it plays
quite a role in the story, and it turns out that it matches the
colour theme perfectly, haha. At the moment, I don't have any
ideas as to how my female lead will look, but I'll get to work
on that straight away and begin writing as soon as possible.

Forgive me for not posting any of it yet, but I haven't anything
to post, haha. I'm not sure about her outfit anymore as it seems
quite ridiculous. If I do change what she's wearing, I'll be
sure to describe it as clearly as possible. I'm just waiting for
some more inspiration so I know how to start and how it will
finish :] though, to be honest, knowing how it will end kind of
ruins the surprise for me as much as for my readers, haha.

Oh please don't worry! I'm sure you'll do a bang up job on the
description of her outfit. As for more inspiration I know that
feeling all too well, so you're most certainly not alone my
dear. Never fear, I can wait as long as it takes :D

Thank you kindly! I will try my best to start this as soon as I
possibly can, cause at the moment I am literally dying to get
started on the other one as well, haha. And, I gave in to
temptation earlier and created yet another forum, thanks to the
movie Heathers. The new forum is basically a community for
people who love movies .. doesn't matter what kind of movie that
may be. Hopefully, I can get a bunch of people to sign up there
too :D

This is so short and I feel really bad about that, but it's all
I can come up with for the moment. My imagination has run off in
another direction and I don't have a clue what's coming next,
haha. Oh, I also changed her looks and outfit in one of the
previous replies.
As I danced around the room with a two year old in my arms, the
sound of loud music erupted from my fiery haired neighbours
house. The little cherub resting on one of my hips was not mine,
and I was doing all within my powers to entertain her for one
more hour before her parents came to pick her up. Like most
people, her parents enjoyed celebrating Hallows Eve by going out
for a few drinks, which I found highly irresponsible with having
such a young child at home. Still, every year I agreed to take
her in until they returned home in their drunken states. In all
fairness however, their obliviousness had worn off somewhat
before they picked up their little bundle of joy. She was just
that, and never did give me any trouble.
“Come on bumblebee, lets go tell that wicked man next door to
keep the noise down” I said, allowing her to stand on her own
two feet.
Almost as though she was my very own daughter, she clung tightly
to my hand and bounced up and down at my side as we left the
house and crossed the grass. I knocked three times rather
loudly, afraid that he would not be able to hear me given the
thumping of the music. The only positive thing I could say about
it was that his Halloween spirit hadn’t fallen short over the
years.
“Yes?” asked a man, who was not my neighbour.
I looked him up and down in wonder, trying to place him, but
knew I’d never seen him before. He had shoulder length black
hair, a very slender figure and was holding a cigarette in one
hand. I picked up my darling little friend, hoping somehow to
protect her from the smoke that was filling the air around us.
“Oh, sorry” the man said, stomping on the death stick and
inviting us inside.
I smiled warmly as he stepped aside and allowed me to walk in.
As he closed the door behind us, he asked again what it was I
had called for. In the space of just two minutes I’d completely
forgotten what I had been making such a fuss over in the first
place. It all seemed rather trivial now.
“We’ve been trying to have a quiet night in and all we can hear
is this dreadful music. I mean, it’s nice and very spooky and
fitting, but does it really need to be so loud?” I asked.
The man simply looked down at me and smiled from ear to ear. It
was difficult not to laugh, but I made sure that emotion
remained hidden from this stranger. In one of the other rooms, I
could hear the sound of children and almost screamed in pain as
the little angel on my hip began to thrive so she could go and
play with the others. I was unsure of course. This was not my
house, my neighbour had a split personality and the man who had
invited us inside was someone I didn’t even know. Still, when
the infamous redhead walked into the hallway to find his friend,
the atmosphere changed.
“Sally, what are you doing here?” he asked, standing beside his
friend and sending him looks that stated he wasn’t best pleased.
“Just came to ask you politely, if you’d be so king, to turn
down your music for us” I said, nodding my head in the little
ones direction as she now stood behind one of my legs.
The look in his eyes changed dramatically when he spotted the
tiny blonde tot trying to hide from him. A genuine smile graced
his lips and he bent down to her level, holding out his hand. I
was dumbfounded by his actions, but kept quiet to see what would
happen. Sure enough, she slowly reached out her own hand and
held onto his thumb as he pulled her toward him. I had to smile
now.
“Axl, please. She’s only two and we’ve been trying to have our
own quiet party back at my place. Could you keep the noise down
a bit?” I asked, again.
“Anything for you, Sally” he said, lifting the little girl into
his arms.
Her giggles surprised me, but I was pleased to see not all life
on earth feared him. Whilst I did not fear him, I certainly
didn’t approve of his behaviour half the time. This was a side
to him I’d never seen before, and it was a side I would give
anything to see more often.
“Thank you” I said, holding out my arms to collect the child.
“Oh, must you go so soon? Jack Skellington is waiting for all
the children in the main room” the other man stated. “I’m Izzy,
by the way”
“Pleased to meet you, Izzy” I said, shaking his hand. “I don’t
think that is such a good idea, you see…”
Axl cut me off before I could even begin the next word as he
raised his hand and carried the little one down the hall and
into another room. My blood was boiling now. In all of five
minutes he had gone from understanding to downright ignorant.
The little girls parents had given me a set of rules as they did
every year. Their daughter was forbidden to be around any kind
of costumed person, which I understand fairly well given the
fact that they were the most disturbing things on earth.
A loud scream exploded from a little body, and before Izzy could
even ask me what was going on, I raced into the room Axl had
taken her. There I found her, curled up on the floor and shaking
beside the feet of a creepy looking costumed man. My head spun
around the room in search of Axl, and when I found him standing
in the corner talking with a curly haired man, I picked up the
little one and handed her to Izzy.
“Would you wait with her by the front door? I’ll only be a
minute” I said.
Izzy nodded and I smiled before brushing my hand against the
childs cheek. She was still sniffling, but her cries had died
down severely.
~Smack~
“What the hell!?” Axl roared, spinning around to see who had hit
him.
“How dare you leave her with him! Did you not hear her
screaming? What the hell is wrong with you, you’re such an
arrogant prick” I half yelled, fearing the children in the room
would tell their parents.
My eyes burned with the same fury that were ever present in his.
Just as he opened his mouth to respond to my insults, I turned
on my heel and made my way back into the hall. Izzy stood there
with her in his arms, rubbing her back soothingly and telling
her everything was going to be alright. I smiled at the sight
and carefully lifted her from his arms into my own. She nuzzled
against my shoulder and gave Izzy a little wave as we left the
house. I heard yelling between two men once the door had closed,
but chose to ignore it. This little angel was not going to hear
of any further disagreements or frightening monsters.
“I’m sorry bumblebee, we won’t go back there again” I whispered.
She clung tightly to my clothes as we both settled down on my
sofa. Just ten more minutes and her parents would be knocking to
collect her. I sighed in relief when I finally heard their car
pulling up outside. Gently, I nudged the sleeping child and
smiled when her eyes lit up at the sight of headlights against
the window.
“Mummy and Daddy are here little one” I said, following her as
she ran toward the front door.
I laughed heartily as she tried in vain to reach the door
handle. She huffed and gave up after her third try and stood
aside so I could do it for her. As soon as I opened the door,
she pounced on her father, who picked her up and spun her around
in circles. I beamed at the sight. They may very well be
irresponsible in the drinking department, but they were damn
good parents when they wanted to be.
They thanked me for looking after her for the hundredth time and
went on their way. I waved until their car was out of sight and
slowly closed the door over. Just as it was an inch from
locking, a hand rested on the solid wood.
Looking up, I saw Izzy, “Sally, is it? Axl would like a word
with you, now the little one has gone”
I gulped back worry as we both made our way over to his house.
What he wanted with me, I did not know, but I made a pretty good
guess after what I’d done to him earlier in front of his
friends.
“Izzy, how mad is he?” I asked.
The look in his eyes told me everything I needed to know.
Another gulp erupted and came out as a gasp when Izzy knocked on
the door. I stood beside him, though almost behind him, waiting
for Axl to have a screaming match with me, only I wouldn’t be
screaming back. Noticing my unease, Izzy squeezed my hand
momentarily and pulled it back once the door opened, and quite
quickly at that.
“Hey” I said, gulping again.
He seemed to notice, and as he stepped toward me to invite me
back inside, I jumped back a bit. Regret crossed his face at my
action, and it looked as though he knew all along just how much
of a horrible person he had been. Izzy slowly slipped by Axl and
wandered off into the house somewhere, whilst Axl and myself
stood staring at the ground. Well, I was staring at the ground,
but I had no doubt that he was staring right at me, waiting for
me to say something.
“Axl, I’m sorry” I mumbled.
“Sally, it was my fault. I should have listened to you, or at
least let you finish what you were saying. I feel like such an
asshole for doing that. I’ve never ever made a child cry before,
and that was totally out of line. Will you ever forgive me?” he
said, stepping closer again.
This time, I didn’t move back. I simply froze in my spot, but my
head tilted up so I could look into his eyes for any sign of
truth. There it was, as clear as day. Nothing about his face
indicated he was lying, and so my lips curled into a small smile
and I stepped forward to embrace him. I knew that wasn’t what he
had planned for, as when he gasped, it was clear he had wanted
to shake my hand instead. Nevertheless, his own arms finally
found their way around my waist and we stood there for quite
some time. The sound of a pin dropping could have been heard in
those few moments of silence.
That was, before a cough interrupted us. Izzy and the man Axl
had been speaking with earlier were standing in the doorway,
grins plastered on their faces. I flushed scarlet, and I’m sure
I spotted Axl flushing himself. I knew they would never let him
live this down, but for now I did not care. At last, I was on
good terms with a man who had caused me nothing but trouble for
years. Despite his beauty, he had always been the opposite in
terms of personality. But, just by this simple gesture and his
meaningful words, he had captured me.
“Sally, would you like to come and party with the boys?” he
said, tossing me a wink.
Again, I flushed, and against my better judgement, I followed
them all into the house for a rockin’ hallows eve.

Oh my lord I love this! Please don't feel bad at all my dear.
I'm having quite a time with my Matter of Feeling. I've got
something else cooking so we'll have to see where it leads.
Please forgive me. This was wonderful though and I love your
choice for Sally! Sandra's one of favorite actresses :) Somehow
I can see that happening, I was one of those kids that couldn't
stand adults in costumes for some reason when I was growing up.
Please please keep up the wonderful work and take your time! I
can wait as long as you'd like me to :)

I'm so glad you like this so far :] I hadn't planned on
continuing with it the other night cause I was so stressed over
it not working right, haha. But, now that I've calmed down a
little and found a bit more inspiration, more will be added
sometime soon. I was the same way when it came to people in
costumes and it's still true today. Whenever I see someone
dressed up, I panic and try to get as far away as possible. I
think I was scarred for life, haha. I hope you are able to find
enough inspiration and encouragement for your Matter Of Feeling
story soon! :D I have another to work on at the moment but it
shouldn't be too difficult as I know (I think) where I'm going
with it.
