       Adjective or Adverb D':

I have a quick question that's been bugging me, "His inventions
are crazy." Is crazy used as an adverb or as an adjective? If
you really watch carefully the sentence, for me it is more
logical to be an adverb, because it describes how ARE his
inventions. It is describing the verb ARE (the verb to be), it
says how "is are", are crazy, it says "crazy is are" (I think
you get my point.). If it would be an adjective it would be
like: His crazy inventions. Also because you're passing crazy
into the predicate, so it is not in the subject, and if it would
be, it would be an adjective, but it's not.
       Ex:
       <His crazy inventions>.
Subject (this is actually a fragment sentence (has no verb) )
       <His inventions> <are crazy>.
Subject Predicate (there it is, the verb)
We could maybe use this example "His crazy inventions are weird"
       <His crazy inventions> <are weird>
       Subject (adjective) Predicate (adverb)
And "His weird inventions are crazy."
       <His weird inventions><are crazy>
       Subject (adjective) Predicate (adverb)
What do you think? Do you agree? Or am I terribly wrong? Please
       tell me.

Well, I think because of the verb "are", that this is actually a
predicate adjective. It would probably be sorted out something
       like this:
His (adjective) Inventions (subject) are (linking verb) crazy
(adjective describing subject (or predicate adjective)).
I hope this helps (and that I'm not wrong). Nitrox could
       probably explain it better.

Oh, yea, I forgot about subject compliments (suddenly
remembered) and predicate adjective and linking verbs...D':...
       :'P
It's harder when it's not your mother tongue. (Hint, my mother
tongue is a romance language (for the ones that already know,
let the other ones guess :'P)). (Only saying)
