Redemption Codes

I am curious if Gamestar plans to re-introduce the redemption
code feature. Many codes have been deactivated and few new codes
have been exposed. I think maybe Gamestar should create new
codes hidden throughout the Quest and when players find a code
they can redeem it for new sprites, or the Gamestar team could
create a new code once in a while so there would always be new
things to discover.

The thing with the redemption codes is that they most likely
weren't meant to be spread website wide. Meaning they somehow
got out on accident making sprite packs people would normally
pay for free for a large group of gamers. This may have a
negative affect on Gamestar. Gamestar Mechanic probably lost a
lot of money on the redemption codes, money that could be used
for updates and making new sprites. However, this is all hinged
on the fact that Gamestar didn't want the codes to get out into
the open, which could be true or not true.

An ideal compromise would be if redemption codes could be open
to one-time use. Redemption codes could be subliminally hidden
throughout the game and whoever clicked where it was would earn
it -- but they wouldn't get the sprites yet. They could go to a
database of redemption codes and choose to redeem it, transfer
it to another account or even sell it in a store to earn sprites
(or anything redeemable), creating a full-blown market. Certain
redemption codes could be open to multiple uses, though the
holder could choose who to give it to, or the redemption code
would automatically go away and be hidden again elsewhere upon
use.

((Tempted to nitpick the oxymoron 'ideal compromise'))
You just did...
