Kiera Winston
Kiera quickly brushed her hair back and took off her baggy
shirt, revealing her white tank top. She brushed her hand over
the small gold cushion she had placed over the car bench, making
sure the seat didn't have any random dirt and other things she
may have picked up. She slipped off her shoes and lied down on
the bench, closing her eyes. The warmth flowed over her, almost
like the heat was coming from all around her and slipping into
her skin, making her feel more detached than she was used to.
She didn't mind though. These little sun-naps were a great break
from taking care of animals all day. The job was fun, but
tiring, and even on her most diligent days, a nap was never
unwanted.
The landscape was incredibly quiet and clear, with the exception
of the jeep sitting in the middle of it. It was only around five
minutes from work, and was a great field, why waste it? Kiera
smiled still with her eyes closed and found herself purring a
little. She caught herself and exhaled. Some feline traits were
good, like the great eyesight and speed. Others, not so much.
She pushed those thoughts from her mind and let herself drift
off.
A paw hit her leg.
Kiera st up and quickly put her shirt back on. A lioness was in
sitting on the ground next to the jeep, slapping Kiera. "Oh hey
kitty!" Kiera said in an overly high voice pulling out her cell
phone, "It's noon already? Glad you came and got me."
The lion nodded and climbed in the car as Kiera got in the
driver's seat, "Time to head back. Kiera turned her car back
towards the windy road, that would lead her back to her job.
--
Kiera stepped into the usual meeting place, "I made it!" She
said cheerfully., hoping at least one of her fellow mages would
be there.

Just to clarify: in-story, Masters have not been chosen yet.
This means that no one knows they are a Master or has Command
Seals.

Anne
"Penny! I can't wait for midnight! It's when we run away! I'm
positive that Mom knows that I'm going, why else would she give
me this gift. I believe that the Sanctum Key MUST BE DESTROYED!"
Anne sat on her bed sharpening her dagger's blade while her dog,
Penny pawed at the bed wanting to come up.
"Fine. Come up. I need some warmth tonight before we leave.
You'll wake me up, won't you."
"Wuff."
"Thank you!"
------Midnight------
"Arooooo" ((I might have forgotten to mention that Penny is a
Beagle, so she howls))
"SSHHHHHHH. We are leaving the house! You don't want Mom to
know!"
"RUFF!"
"Don't worry! We'll return. Some of the stuff I learned in Vet
training can heal us too!"
"Wuff..."
"Of course we'll return. Maybe you can also make some more
doggie friends! I'm not taking anything except my dagger, you,
the gift Mom gave me, and a small supply of food and water."
"Ruff."
"Let's go. Those bullies will hopefully regret all that they
have done. They are what made my choice obvious."
Anne and Penny sneaked out of the house. Little do they know
that Anne's mom is watching them and hoping that they will
return and forget about the idea.

Jack Blair
"Jack! Old friend!" A tall blonde man in a white suit embraced
Jack. He stepped back and put his hands on the mage's shoulders,
"You've grown!"
"Of course of course," Jack said as he glanced down. He flicked
a white rose in his hands.
"So where have you been? I haven't seen you since High School."
The man smiled warmly.
"Oh you know the usual, working odd jobs, gambling, the like."
Jack faked a smile, "How about you? I heard online you got
yourself a promotion."
"Ah it's more stressful than you'd think. Executive officer is
going to be tough for me. I was never too much of a leader."
Never that good of a follower either "Well good luck then." Jack
plucked a petal of his rose and slipped it in his wine glass.,
"I got this drink for you, thought you might need it." Jack
pulled out the glass from behind his back and handed it to the
man.
"Thank you Jack." The man brought the drink to his lips as Jack
slowly nodded his head.

Maria
She was currently curled up in a cardboard box in the storage
closet of the meeting room. She wasn't particularly in the mood
to speak with anyone directly. She was contemplating what she
would get for dinner later.
Maybe some curry. I'm in the mood for curry. Oh, and I'll need
to go check out the local bakeries and patisseries. Mmmmm.....
cake.
She drooled slightly. The box wasn't the most comfortable
place in the world but she did like how inconspicuous it was. It
was always nice to cut class while pretending to just be storage
while remotely flying a cube (invisible of course) to grab cake
from her residence. It was kind of tricky to do so without any
hands but she managed to rig up a scanner that would allow her
to open one of the windows in her flat by simply flying up to
it. Alas, she didn't manage to do so here. She had just arrived
by plane a day ago after all. No convenient cake delivery for
her.
She shifted her conscience back into the cube and after a
brief wait, a woman walked into the room.
The cube generated an electromagnetic field and detected the
presence of a cell phone.
Oh good, a normal person. How convenient. I don't actually have
to move and can pretend that I'm a cube for a while. Now I'll I
need is a formal manner of address and boom, job done. They'll
figure it eventually, I wonder how long it'll take her? Let's
see if she can break the record. I think it was..... 3 minutes
and 32 seconds after the initial text?
She transmitted a radio wave containing the SMS directly to
the woman's phone bypassing the need for the nearby cellphone
tower.
[Greetings. The levitating cube currently
located above the coffee table is the one communicating with
you. I am the representative for the EU Magus group. A simple
name, but it gets down to the point. The previous representative
had to take leave for personal reasons. We are here to preserve
our interests so that the negative effects of the Sanctum war do
not damage our collective members. Nice working with you miss.
You may address me as M. Your name? I can "hear" you, so feel
free to speak.]

Kiera
She pulled out her phone and looked at the odd text message. She
coc'ked her head sideways like a cat and looked around the room.
"Kuchunguza" She said as a few golden circles emitted from her.
There's an animal in the closet?
She opened up the storage closet and saw a box moving ever so
slightly, "Hello in there!" Kiera yelled.

Maria
Why does my weight have to be so high? It probably shifted
slightly. I need to find a phrase to describe my irritation.
Fudge? Oh crumpets. Crum(b)y. That doesn't work at all. All it
does is make me hungry for sweets.
[You are quite observant miss. 12 seconds,
fastest yet. Albeit this time, I was situated much closer to the
observer. I'll reintroduce myself. Maria Kieszeń,
representative of the EU Magus Group. I am currently in the box
in the closet, resting my physical body. I would like it if you
would kindly close the door please. It allows me to recuperate,
you see. So your name miss?]

Kiera took a step back, looking at her phone. She slowly closed
the closet door.
"Well hello, sorry to disturb you. I'm Kiera Winston." She said.

Kirin Oshiro
The room was large, surrounded on three sides by windows that
gave a wide view to the mansion's extensive garden. No one was
in sight, however, except for Kirin himself and the two men that
stood in the room. One was a tall, thin Japanese man with a
thin, neat ponytail that just reached shoulder length. His name
was Isa. The other man was Caucasian- shorter, stouter, and had
a more messy beard. This man was Jeb. Kirin sat in a chair on
the far end of a meeting table, exchanging his look between the
two standing men.
Jeb spoke up. His accent was southern. "So I'm sure your
father's informed you why I'm here."
Kirin responded. "You're from the Mage's Association, aren't
you? I've heard a lot about you, Mr. Yurrick."
"Just Jeb's just fine." He coughed, then continued. "I'll just
give it to you bluntly. Pretty soon the Sanctum War is gonna
begin again."
"How can you be sure?"
Isa broke in. "The last of the seven masters has died."
Kirin raised an eyebrow. "Isn't this information supposed to be
classified, traditionally? To ensue the fairness of the war?"
"Yeah, it is, usually..." Jeb began pacing across the room.
"Something tells me nothing about this war is gonna be
traditional at all. Rumors are circulating that one side's
conspiring to bring an end to the war itself."
"Someone wants to just stop the cycle?"
"Yep." Jeb passed by Isa, who then turned to the window to
observe the garden.
"The Mage's Association will not tolerate this." Isa had a much
colder feeling to the way he spoke. "As head of the Oshiro
family, I declare that we shall not either."
"That's where you come in, kid. You're probably one of the most
powerful mages we can trust. You'll be our enforcer."
"What does this task entail, exactly?"
"Kirin... My son, future heir- you will participate in this
Sanctum War- and you will not fail."
Kirin stood up and lightly bowed. "It shall be done."

Audrey
"S**t, it's cold outside.." Audrey growled as she removed the
cigarette from her mouth. She arched her head and exhaled
heavily, letting out a grey cloud of smoke into the air. She
leaned against her door and sighed. She looked at her watch and
sighed again. "Almost midnight.. A couple more minutes and I'm
out of this god forsaken place I'm supposed to call home." She
took another drag from her cigarette. "It's more of a prison,
honestly.. Besides, I gotta get money. I'm running out." She
looked down and started tapping her foot.
"Wonder what name I should use this time.. Miranda, maybe?"
