       Unofficial GSM 2
By: srpent Date: April 14, 2015, 12:42 am

I'm seeing if i can make in Unity3D (in the 2D thingy) a better,
next-gen-like GSM (with another name) to, perhaps, get into some
marketing or something. I need some sprites ideas though. Please
       lend me some!
Also: What'd ya like for a GSM 2, everything you can imagine!
Tell me and I'll add it!
       :'D

Check out the Sprite Ideas Hub. However, if this actually
happens, give credit to the people who made the ideas.
EDIT: Also, be sure it is different enough to be okay. There are
plenty of sites that copy another site, which is illegal.
       For example:
  HTML http://zat.io/
That is a copy of Xat.

If you're looking to market an idea, I don't think you should
make a knockoff of something else. Even if what you make is
similar or is inspired by something else, it's a really bad idea
to have its beta name be "[thing it's similar to] 2."
At any rate, I think that you definitely shouldn't start with
sprite ideas. First, you need to think about the basic
structure of the software: if you want any chance of marketing
it, it can't be just like Gamestar. Are there any unique core
features (i.e. Gamestar's are selecting sprites, moving them
around, changing settings, avatar mechanics, etc.) that you have
       ideas for?
Regardless, I think it's great that you're finding a way to make
something based on something that inspires you, just don't
expect to get monetary value out of it and make sure you know
the rules behind what you're doing.

I'll sure not do a complete ripoff, the thing is a creator
game-like. I had no other/ better examples than GSM, however I
only used the name 'cuz it has no official name. It is only
going to be a creator game with a friendly editor mode like for
example GSM, that's it. There are a lot of some like those, eg:
       Gamefroot, GameSalad, etc.
I only used the GSM concept like, guess why.
Also if I use some sprites or-whatever I'll give credit
       obviously and ask for permission.
       For the game's structure, I already have it, I haven't made a
huge investigation on market and all of those stuff for nothing.
I know about it. I only need to define a biiiit music and the
       color palette.
And for marketing I said "perhaps" (maybe for whomever that
       doesn't understand.)
The game will be a little more mechanic than GSM and better. eg:
no platformer/top-down only sprites. More personalized stuff,
like, make your game. Better graphic quality as I'm using a
framework engine (and I mean, UNITY 3D!). Simpler in code, so it
will be less of a mess that GSM is starting to be with their
code •~•. Physically Based Rendering (PBR) (only
maybe, if I really go into it). Physically Based Shading (PBS).
Among other physic applications. Also more moldeable. Bigger
numbers (eg: energy, speed, etc). Desktop/Internet.
I'm only missing a way to save and upload created material. On
       it however!
(PS: eg is example given r something like that right? lol)

I'm not sure if this is relevant at all but I know that Scratch
has its own file types for games, sprites ect. which can be
loaded into the editor, which is important for moving projects
from offline to online and vice versa. I believe you also
mentioned that it would be on desktop and internet (of course,
it's definitely possible I misinterpreted what you said, so
please correct me if that is the case) so that would be nice to
have. I don't have the slightest clue how you could go about
doing that, but I guess it's an idea.

Yes, you got the exact perfect example, scratch (as an example).
The thing is that Unity is cross platform, which will exact act
the same way both, but one is downloadable, and the other
online. However for publishing you'll obviously need internet,
but the idea is to save it on a file offline like if you clicked
       the save button in GSM.
