The True Meaning of Christmas

This Tuesday I had my wisdom teeth removed. I'm sure quite a few
of you already knew that, but for those of you who don't, FYI I
had my wisdom teeth removed rather recently. It's because of
this I'm starting to realize the true meaning of Christmas. When
I was on my way to see the oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth
removed, I slowly started to realize that this Christmas wasn't
gonna be my most enjoyable. To start with, I'm not really
allowed to have hard foods. I can have chocolate, but only if I
place i on my tongue and wait for it to melt a bit before I eat
it. I also realized I would have to be on some pretty powerful
pain killers which would probably make me a little...how should
I put it? Woozy? I also figured that Christmas dinner was gonna
be an assortment of soups which is pretty different for me. All
and all I was not looking forward to Christmas, but now that
it's here I've changed my mind. Sure, I'm still in pain a bit;
but my mom takes care of me and makes sure I'm comfortable.
Sure, I can't have popcorn or chips or eat stuff whole; but with
my sister constantly volunteering to cut stuff up for me, I
really don't mind. Sure, I'm a little woozy sometimes and most
of the time I'm half-asleep; but with my dad and even Katydid
coming in to visit me every now and again, it feels like
everything's back to normal. Most people would look at my
circumstances and think "Poor girl". As for me, I couldn't ask
for a greater gift or a greater blessing than having a family
that loves me and takes care of me. I am thankful for having my
wisdom teeth removed when I did because it has brought me closer
to my family this Christmas. While to some Christmas is all
about getting presents and to others it's all about giving
presents, I believe I've found the true meaning of Christmas,
spending time with family. Sorry if this is a little long. It
took my most of my life to realize this in it's true form, and
now that I have, I want to share it with others. Merry
Christmas, everyone! I hope you have a pleasant day! ;D
