Talbinlen is a Hero
DIR By: Epsilon

Major Posts from our true lord and savior, hero of the masses,
Talbinlen.
History
The history teach would sit in an old, dusty looking chair, in
the front of the classroom. The desk at front had the name S.
Drul on it. The teacher would then sit up as the students set
themselves down. He then started talking in what sounded like a
nonstop, slow, monotonous drawl. Anyone listening could almost
feel the clutches of tiredness and boredom setting in as the
teacher began to speak.
Talbinlen
"Blah blah blah blah..."
Talbinlen was, very clearly, fast asleep on his desk. Although
his hood covered his face, snoring was audible from the male, as
slight heaving of his breathing could be seen. The history teach
was too 'busy' teaching the lesson to notice.
Talbinlen
Slightly dazed, he woke up. Tal lifted his head lazily, glaring
up at the still rambling teacher. He threw a glance around his
neighboring classmates, who all seemed to be doing their best to
stay conscious. Tal read the clock face on the upper, left wall,
releasing a sigh as it was still a while until the class ends.
Tal looked back over to Mr.Drul. If he hasn't noticed my
sleeping so far, he probably won't notice my departure... He
lightly tapped the top of his desk a few times, and then a few
hand gestures. A second or two later, the light coming at him,
instead of hitting and reflecting off, would be bend around his
body, and like normal, moving forard as if there was nothing
there in the first place.
Not as effective as I'd hope, but it's better than the
alternative... While nearly completely invisible, a very, very
light haze of his outline was visible, if ever-so-slightly. This
would have been caused with the redirection to the light before
contact with the body.
Talbinlen then sat up from his seat, and walked up to the door.
He then took a final glance across the classroom, and then the
teacher. He remained unnoticed. Taking a slightly deep breath,
he'd quickly open the classroom door, stepping through, and
loudly closing it, and dashing away with a rapid pace.
He'd leave the current hall, entering another one, before
slowing down to a stop, breathing heavily. He'd also then drop
the invisibility cloak, shuddering softly as he released the
power hold on the light.
Tal then turned his attention to one of the walls. He'd unzip
the front of his hoodie, pulling out a thick, red marker.
Popping off the cap, he'd place the tip onto the wall, and
started drawing large circles and triangles, forming intricate
pentagrams. Once the drawing finished, he'd place his hand in
the center, muttering a few, inaudible words. he'd repeat this
drawing and muttering processes a few times in a series on the
wall, and then mirrored it on the opposite wall.
He was then finished. Tal glanced at one end of the hall, staying
still for a moment. People should be switching classes soon...
He'd tap a finger onto one of the pentagrams, then snapped his
fingers on nthe other, free hand, once again throwing up the
invisible cloak, moving down the hall.
Talbinlen
The bell rang. Tal quickly hid himself in a corner, as to not be
found out of class before the other students. The people would
very soon flood out of their classrooms, and into the halls. Some
to their dorms, while others to destinations of their own
choosing.
While one stream of the crowd passed itself in Tal's direction,
he snuck himself in, getting bumped along the way, dropping the
invisibility cloak. That was almost awkward...
Talbinlen
Talbinlen let a few hours pass. He had kept himself in a fairly
remote part of the building, drawing smaller pentagrams on the
walls and ground of the darkened room. He then decided to check
back up on the large pentagrams in the halls, straightening
himself up and leaving the room.
A few minutes of walking, and Tal reached the hall with the
several large pentagrams. So far, they seem to be intact. He
then noticed another person staring at the pentagrams.
Talbinlen
Explosions shook the building. Before Tal could speak to the
other person the hall, segments of the all caved in. A plant
whacked right into Tal, pushing him downwards. A weird, somewhat
quiet voice rang through his mind then.
We are asking your assistance. Anyone who wants to protect your
families, your kin, and your species come outside your building,
there are helicopters waiting for you. Good luck
Using a hand to support his own head, Tal would sit up uneasily,
looking backwards down the hall. Well... This is an interesting
turn of events. He then looked back at the collapsed wall,
groaning, seeing as only one of the Pentagrams remained intact.
Talbinlen
The halls were in rubbles. The missile attacks, quite obviously,
were causing heavy damage to the building. It will be best to
get out here, I believe... While he was still walking across the
wall,s a reflective light of a mirror shard caught his eye. He
then bent down to pick it up.
Tal studied dangerous shard for a moment or two. Under his hood,
he's begin to smirk. My, my, this will prove useful... He'd take
a rough piece of rock, grinding and smoothing the mirror into a
more safe, circular shape, before pocketing it.
The walls began to creak with instability, so Talbinlen then
dashed off to the nearest building exit.
Talbinlen
Tal finally found an exit to the school. Stepping out, what he
thought would be safety, he took out the now rounded mirror
again. A 3 inch diameter, perfect for single hand held use. He'd
flipped it to it's back, drawing another pentagram with the red
marker.
After finishing the pentagram on the mirror backside, he turned
to the door of the school. Sighing, he'd draw another one of his
pentagrams on the door. I'm going to need to find another place
for these...
Tapping of footsteps where head coming closer. Tal turned to
face, a unknown man. I don't recognize this person as a
teacher.. Tel kept his face hidden with the hoodie. The man had
a knife held out threateningly, however his face showed more
fear than any areal malicious intent.
"And who, may I ask, are you?" Talbinlen spoke, in a fairly
loud, intimidating tone, turning his body to completely face the
stranger.
"Th-that is non of your concern!" The man replied, taking a step
closer, the knife posed. "I'm turning you in to those armed
men!"
A brief silence occurred. The two males stared at each other,
the man with the knife shaking ever-so-slightly, Tal in his
calmed, still position.
Tal then released a quick laugh. It sounded somewhat forced, yet
also had a hint of what might call a generic psychotic laugh.
"You? And what do you hope to achieve over me? That pathetic
knife of yours?' Tal propped the mirror face up on his right
palm, slowly facing it towards the armed man.
"J-just come with me quietly, and n-noone has to get hurt,
k-kay?" The man took another step closer, raising the knife.
Talbinlen had the suns light reflect off from the mirror,
directed at the stranger's eyes. The light off the mirror would
than started to blink, rhythmically yet also randomly, as
various colors and wavelengths were emitted off the mirror face.
The man immediately dropped both of his arms to his side, the
knife falling out of his hands.
Another moment of silence passed by, before Tal spoke up.
"Will you now obey my every command?"
"Yes, I will." Talbinlen then smirked broadly under his hood.

"You shall not do anything, and I mean anything, without my
direct command. This includes eating, sleeping, or even
interacting with anyone else. Is this understood?" Tal told
sternly to the now hypnotized man, who nodded stiffly in reply.
Tal looked downwards to the ground, where the knife lay.
"Give me that knife you dropped earlier."
The man nodded again, bending down oddly, picking up the knife,
and gave it to Tal. Tal inspected the knife. A five and a half
inch blade... Not bad. He'd then pocket it, as well as the
mirror shard. He'd turn back around, towards the school
building, sighing.
"We will need a new place to stay for awhile... Do you know of
any settlements that will suffice?"
"Yes. There is a town south of here." The man replied, his
posture stiff, eyes glossy and unblinking.
"Ah,very well." Tal readjusted his hood, then stuffed both hands
in the jacket pockets, turning body roughly 90 degrees, to the
southern direction, and made a short advancement forward, before
briefly pausing.
"Oh. And keep an eye out for anyone else I could... 'recruit'. I
need more tools like you." The man, once again, nodded, as they
began their travel.

The two continued to travel south to the town. Having grown up
on the streets, was used to long spans of movement. The
stranger... Simply lacked a self-sense of tiring.
The two walked by several people, however, all of whom were too
busy to pay any heed to Tal. Tal managed to pick a few pockets,
however, as money was likely needed for future needs. The
hypnotized man at some point, pointed out towards a woman
working on the side streets, appearing to be fixing up some
plant-life.
Talbinlen walked over to the woman, putting up a friendly,
child-like voice.
"Ma'am, would you like to see a small magic trick?"
Having heard the voice speak towards her, the woman turned her
attention to the male, blinking twice, then showing a friendly
smile to Tal.
"Oh, sure. What'cha got?"
Smirking, unseen under his hood, Tal took out the mirror,
showing its face towards the woman.
"Please pay close attention to this mirror." Obeying, the woman
focused her eyes on the mirror. A second later, lights and
colors were bent and blinked in rhythmic pattern, and the
woman's eyes turned glossy and emotionless.

A few more hours have passed. Three more people were 'recruited'
by use of Tal's hypnotism. A family of a wife and husband, and a
car mechanic, who was fixing the couple's run down car. Tal had
offered another 'magic trick' to the group as a small break from
the tiresome work they busied themselves in. When done with
those the to men and woman, he'd make various pentagrams on
their car, before resuming travel to the town.
Soon enough, he'd reach the outskirts of the southern
settlement.

Interaction with Cho
Talbinlen
Upon hearing a voice call out, precisely at the word Maalum, Tal
raised his left hand, signallying the following minions of his
to stop their forward movement. He'd then turn around, face
still completely hidden by the darkened inside of the hoodie.
There was a brief silence between Tal and thew newcomer. He'd
then attempt to brighten up his speaking tone, however his next
words still came out more stern than intended.
"Maalum? Yes, perhaps. I was there. My name is irrelevant. Is
there something you wish to speak about?"
The other hand, still in the jacket pocket, loosely gripped the
mirror inside.
Cho
Cho took a step back, sensing the boy's apparent hostility.
"Well, as I'm assuming you know, practically everyone's
evacuated Maalum after the recent events. I was wondering if
you knew where everybody else went. And I suppose it's
unreasonable to ask for a name before offering my own: I'm
Cho."
Talbinlen
He slowly nodded up an down, pointing a finger towards the
direction he originally was traveling.
"Well, Cho, I believe at least a few should be meeting over at
the apparent town over there. I mean, it would be unwise to not
seak another shelter, as of the recent events."
Tal then turned back around, preparing himself to continue his
travel, setting both hands in his jacket pockets.
"Simply refer to me as Tal, if you must. Come with me, Cho, if
you would like to head to town."
Talbinlen then smirked softly, under his hood.
Cho
"Oh, thanks! I'll go with you, I guess... safety in numbers."
He began walking with Tal, a bit perturbed at the group of
glassy-eyed people following them. "Er... who are these people?
Do you know them?"
Talbinlen
Tal resumed his movement forward, heading deeper into the actual
town. The person known as Cho was following behind. Before
answering Cho's question, a moment passed as Tal was deciding on
a safe enough way of putting it,
"They're... personal escorts. I have been acquainted with them
before, yes,"
Cho
"Erm... all right then. Do you know anything about the
organization that attacked Maalum Academy? I haven't been able
to get much information about it."
Talbinlen
"No, I do not. There was obviously some blasting, and someone
speaking, but aside from that, I am not aware of this apparent
group's activities." Tal spoke with low, monotone voice,
continuing to walk forward, his 5 minions following behind.
This kid might be troublesome if I don't take him soon...
Talbinlen fiddled with the mirror in his jacket pocket,
considering the best method of getting this 'Cho' to look into
it. He took a swift glance to one of the males to his side. I
could try using brute force... No, that would cause a scene.
Cho
This kid is kind of suspicious...
Cho began looking through the Maalum Academy student files for
anyone who could be named "Tal." There were only a few names
that started with Tal, and only one with a picture that even
vaguely matched.
So, he's an Agnies... a light-manipulator. I should keep that
in mind if I ever have to use my Photon Pulser.
There was surprisingly little additional information, besides a
single bullet point that read "Potential mental influence with
psychedelic lights." Mental influence... I wonder. I had
better be careful.
Talbinlen
A silence fell between Tal and Cho, as the group were traveling
nearer to the town center. Tal would continue to contemplate a
way to hypnotize the other male, then gripped loosely onto the
knife in the other pocket.
Considering the appearance of this 'Cho', he my prove smarter
then it is worth attempting hypnotism. He's obviously recognized
me from before, and who knows what his information connection
with the school is. I'll out myself invisible and kill him, if
needed. Tal shook his head, then looked towards a few corners
and signs in the town they were in.
"...I believe it will be best for us to separate, now. We've
reached the town. I have business I must attend to, and I
believe you are wanting to try to establish physical connection
with the other students."
Cho
"Well... okay, then. It was nice meeting you!" After Tal
turned his back, Cho tossed a small chip into the folds of his
shirt. Its spiky burs would hold it there until Tal noticed it,
allowing Cho to track his position.
Talbinlen
Talbinlen simply nodded, and motioned for the minions to follow
him, once again. He hadn't noticed the chip thrown at him. It
would seem I haven't attracted much suspicion, then...
Tal walked on the left-hand sidewalks, glancing up at every door
he passed. Being still in broad daylight, a raid of a home would
be suicide. But even at night, without weapons, we risk major
harm... Tal back himself away from the houses, slowing down his
walking pace as he came to a small park/resting area.
Sighing lightly, Tal set himself on a bench. His stomach
growled. He'd look up towards the glossy-eyed followers, then to
any nearby buildings. There were a few snack bar apartments,
however, many overpriced for the amount of food they would
provide. Tal estimated that he had about 400$ in wallet
pickings. Enough for a short term self-support, but will not
last long, especially if he'd wish to grow his band of minions.
Tal waved off to a passing stranger, asking for a spare bottled
water. The stranger indeed have one, as Tal unscrewed the cap,
taking a few sips. Then he sighed again.
He'd look towards the car mechanic from the couples vehicle from
earlier.
"Do you know the layout of this town, and if it has any
government building?"
The hypnotized man stared unblinkingly back at Tal.
"There is a town hall several pathways to the right of here."
Tal continued to sit in the bench few a few minutes, formulating
possible plans of takeover and escape. I have the mirror and a
knife... The husband has a hand gun, with one spare ammo
cartridge... That one woman has pepper spray... No, we lack
strength to event attempt a raid. I'll have to resort to
something else.
He'd lean back in the bench, pinching his nose, then dumped some
of the water over his head, the traveling between school and
town. I'm running out of energy for the day, I'll need to do
something soon...
Tal then turned back to the car mechanic, and told him quietly,
as to not be overheard.
"Take me to the town hall."
The mechanic nodded, tarted to walk towards a pathway. Tal sat
up, and motioned for the others to follow.

Talbinlen
The group came close to the town hall entrance. The outside
atmosphere had started to cool off by now, probably getting late
into the evening. Tal halted the group as they were several
yards away from entering the town hall building.
It will be dangerous to waltz in with a group that looked like
drug dealers.. Tal thought for a moment. He'd then direct his
attention to all five minions.
"I will enter the building now. You all are to separate, and to
attempt to pickpocket as many people as you can, while remaining
unnoticed. These supplies are much needed. Meet back here when I
exit." Tal spoke to all of them in a cold tone. He then pointed
to the husband. "I will need you gun, as well."
The hypnotized male nodded, as he discreetly gave Tal the gun he
had, whom then put it in an inside jacket pocket. Tal the waving
them off to all disperse and to commit to their orders.
Tal walked into the town hall doors, looking around the setup.
On the wall was a shiny analog clock face. underneath the clock
was a desk and a female receptionist/desk assistant. There was a
corner with sofas. One was occupied by an old man, busying
himself in an outdated automobile magazine.
Seeing the counter assistant busy on the phone, Tal seated
himself in one of the sofas. I doubt she will let me see the
mayor directly, especially at this time of day, without an
official scheduled meeting... Never matter, she's an easy
target. Tal then glanced to the old man, noting him off as
another easy target.
Do I assassinate the mayor? No, that would be the worse way. I
need to puppet the town... He'll be hypnotized too. His power in
inexcusable to pass on. Tal shifted his position, looking back
at the receptionist. She had finished her call, and was now
writing notes on some important document.
The only problem, is his eyes may make him questionable... No, I
can edit their reflected appearance to look more normal. That
will a lot of energy to maintain, however, in longer spans...
I'll just make the mayor have pentagrams drawn everywhere. Tal
the nodded to himself, pleased his his own plan.
Tal turned over the the cieling, scanning it. He'd find the
security camera. frowning, he'd pick up one of the old
newspapers on the seat-side table, and takeout his red marking,
creating a simple pentagram. He'd the tap onto its center,
staring up at the camera. That should have imprinted the rooms
current picture into the camera lance...
He'd sit upright on the sofa, his body facing towards the
receptionist desk. He'd cough loudly, gaining a glance from the
woman behind the counter. Tal then spoke with an innocent voice,
pointing up to the clock above her.
"Hey, um, I can not see if from this angle, what time is it on
that clock?"
The receptionist turned her chair around, craning to look up at
the clock.
As her eyes met the clock-face, lights and various colors would
reflect off of it to her.

Talbinlen
The receptionist immediately became stiff. Having became
hypnotized from the light reflected off the clock, she was now
another unquestioning follower. Tal stood up from the sofa, and
walked over to the counter.
"Where is the mayor?"
The woman immediately turned back around on the chair, eyes
glossy, staring back at Tal.
"The mayor is not here anymore. he has left for the night."
Tal sighed, rubbing his forehead. The old man turned his
attention to the receptionist, putting down his paper.
"H-hey, I believe I was supposed to be in line first.'
Tal quickly took out his mirror, pointing its face to the man.
As the man glanced at it, the mirror sparked. Tal scowled. He
was running dangerously low on energy to spend. He'd raise the
mirror higher to grab the mans attention again, finally
initiating the hypnotic cast. As the man stiffened his position,
Tal pocketed the mirror, then pulled out the pistol gun. I don't
the luxury to risk capture here... Tal pointed the gun at the
old man, then to the door.
"The building is closed now, lock it."
Tal then pointed the gun at the receptionist woman,as the old
man began flipping the sign and locking the door.
"You. Take me to the mayors office."
The woman nodded, getting herself off of the chair, and opening
a door to let the male through. They began to move down a set of
halls. A lone guard walked their path, and seeing the
receptionist, he began to question why she was off duty, paying
no heed to the young male behind her.
"Hey, shouldn't you b--'
The guard never had the chance to finish the question, as Tal
fired the gun, aimed at his face. They continued their walk to
the mayor's office.
Upon reaching the desired room, Talbinlen imedietaly took out
the red marker, beginning to draw large, complex pentagrams
everywhere in the office.

Talbinlen
He was breathing hard. Gazing around the room, his work shown
everywhere. Pentagrams on the walls, floors, ceilings, even
newspapers, on the chair, and desk. All in the red marker color.
However, Tal felt better, refreshed and more energized than
before.
Sighing, Tel walked behind the desk, letting himself fall into
the spinning chair. He'd take out his water bottle from before,
taking a few generous sized gulps, emptying the bottle. He'd
then turn his attention to the hypnotized receptionist, who was
still in the corner of the room.
"How many others are on their work, left in the building?"
"A camera watchmen and someone in the file rooms."
Talbinlen nodded, hunching himself over, and taking out the
mirror. The last guard shouldn't be too much of a threat, as
long as he's not immediately armed... I'll take care of him
later. Tal leaned back into the chair again, spinning to the
left about 90 degrees.
Now... Who WAS that group that attacked Maalum? They've
obviously had a purpose or gain for attacking such a... place.
If I can gain control over them, that will be of great use...
However, as of right now, they're a severe threat.
Tal tapped his fingers on the arm rests of the chair, continuing
to contemplate. Yes... Once I have this town under my control, I
must look into this group. If I do not make careful measures,
they will easily be the end of me.
He stood up with force, taking out the gun again, and the mirror
in the other hand. He called out towards the gloss eyed woman.
"Come with me. We will be recruiting those last people here."

Talbinlen
Morning dawned. The receptionist was placed back in her desk,
with a set of contact lenses to hide her glossy eyes. The
camera guard was at his normal station, however, under the
influence of hypnotism. The dead body of the shot guard was
removed and cleaned up. Tal himself was resting the the mayor's
office, a gunshot wound on his left arm bandaged.
As it came close to opening time, the Mayor himself approached
the building. He was confused as to why the sign was still
signifying the town hall to be closed, however, ignored it and
went on to unlock the door. Entering, he'd see the old man
sitting stiffly on the couch, and the receptionist being idle.
He'd approach the counter.
"Was there something off this morning, Ms.-----?" As the Mayor
asked this, the receptionist pressed an underdesk button,
sending a signal to both the security camera's room, and to
Talbinlen.
"No, there is nothing wrong today. Please go to your office,
now."
The Mayor blinked, confused as her reaction, however assumed it
to be a woman's thing. As he turned around to started to head to
his office, the old man now stood to feet away, pose
threatening, startling the Mayor.
"H-hey! What are you doing?! Security!" The Mayor called out.
And as per his request, the camera guard entered the room.
However, his eyes were glossy, and simply stared at the Mayor.
Not far behind, Talbinlen himself entered the waiting room
behind the guard, both mirror and gun in hand. His broad smirk
visible from even inside his hood.
"Well, well, Mayor. It is a pleasure to finally meet you." From
a hand signal by Tal, the old man and guard immediately took
hold of both of the Mayor's arms, struggling him down to his
knees, as the Mayor cried out.
"What is this? What do you want?! Release me!" Tal shook his
head, a maniacally laugh escaping his lips. Tal bent down to one
knee, so his face was level with the Mayor's.
"Take a good look at this face. Because this will be the last
face you see in your life." Tal told the mayor creepily, as he
finally folded down his hood.

"N-no! Please! Spare me! I'll give you a ransom, if that's what
you want! A good sum of money!" Tal laughed at the Mayor's cries
again.
"Cute. You are begging for your life. Well, if you care so much
about it, there's one thing I need you to do. The Mayor nodded
his head quickly.
"Yes, yes, what is it?!"
"I... Need you to look into this mirror of mine." Tal held up
his mirror shard, it's shiny front directly pointed at the
Mayor's face. The Mayor quickly obeyed, wanting freedom, his
eyes meeting the glass front. As soon is he did this, the
hypnotic spell came through. Talbinlen then spoke with a
towering expression.
"Now, Mayor, are you completely loyal to my every command?"
...
"Yes, I am."
