Re: Guild Wars 2

It's nice that Guild Wars 2 has so much account-bound stuff,
like Achievement Points and gold, so that you don't have to
focus on one character.
By the way, does anyone want to get 20 easy Achievement points?
I just learned about it recently. Here's what you do:
[li]Go to Ebonhawke. It's a small Level 30 city which you can
reach through the Rurikton teleporter in Divinity's Reach (the
human city).[/li]
[li]Find all 20 books hidden throughout the city. Some of them
are very hard to find--just search "Speedy Reader" on the wiki.
You don't have to read them in order. If you read all 20 in a
single day, you get 10 achievement points.[/li]
[li]Tear down all of the Separatist Propaganda posters. This one
is harder--there are 41 posters, and if you miss a single one
you can't complete the achievement. The "Cleaning Up the
Neighborhood" page on the wiki has an image showing where all
the posters are (you have to do some climbing to reach a few of
them)--if you work systematically, you can get another 10
achievement points.[/li]
Oh, and I crafted my first Exotic weapon! Surprisingly, it was a
lot better than the one I was using (which was a reward for
killing Zhaitan). It was really expensive, though, so it'll be a
while before I can make another one.

Lol, oh my gosh! That would be amazing! It's $50 but there isn't
any monthly fee, so... :D We should totally play together
sometime. You can be the newbie and I can be the girl who's
still a newbie even though she's been playing for over a year!
XD

Sounds great! I'm on the Yak's Bend world, and I believe
Elephants4Ever is on [s]Stormbluff Isles[/s] Tarnished Coast.
I'm not sure where zenwarrior54's world is. Just note that all
of your characters have to be on the same world, so choose
carefully--you have to pay to switch worlds.
By the way, I just learned the net worth of all the Gems I've
amassed. My entire Guild Wars 2 experience has made me...almost
7 dollars! Woohoo?

Actually, I just figured out that I'm on tarnished coast...
silly me. XD I think I may have been on stormbluff during the
beta or something...

Well, Guild Wars 2 just released an extremely useful feature:
"guesting" allows you to temporarily bring a character into a
different world for free (with a 2 world/day limit). This means
that we could potentially meet in the game despite being on
different servers.
I just finished running the Crucible of Eternity dungeon for the
first time. It was very difficult, but one enemy stood out--the
"Megablasters." They fire gigantic orbs of lightning that are as
fast as you, homing in on targets and dealing massive damage
(downing players instantly at close range). They are...very hard
to dodge.
Also, Kudu is a jerk. Some of his attacks are literally "instant
killers." This means a lot of dodging and reviving.

Gosh, I haven't played this game in forever. All I remember is
being... level 14-16 ish... and being in a guild called E.P.I.C.
What's kind of dumb is that the E in EPIC stands for EPIC. No,
really. E.P.I.C. is Epic Power In Combat.
