till the first 1 or 2 weeks of August (exact dates are
unknown).}
Eva Kane
“So. What exactly did you want to discuss this early in the
morning?” Eva impatiently stood in front of her superior’s desk
while he was busy organizing papers and files.
“Ah you’re here. Didn’t notice you come in.” The chief motioned
to sit down.
Oh please I’m sure he noticed with that squeaky door of his.
Probably just wanted me to say something. What a bother. Eva sat
down in one of the chairs.
“Anyways, it seems that the hooded thief is giving us trouble
again. He or she escaped again, but one of our surveillance
cameras managed to get a picture to us before it got destroyed.”
The chief pulled out a blurry picture.
“Eh. There’s not much that this picture tells us other than what
we already know.” Eva inspected the picture closer. She then
noticed long strands of hair sticking out from under the thief’s
hood. “Oh I see now. There’s a high chance our thief is a girl.
But still, we would’ve found this out regardless, and probably
even confirmed it, so this picture is pretty useless.”
“True. But our thief is going to get herself pretty well known,
which means a lot of things. First, it might make it easier for
us to catch her. However this will also make her a target for
other shard seeking organizations. She’s pretty much an
unprotected walking Machina Shard at this point.”
“Well there is a chance that’s she’s working for another
organization. I mean, provoking us like that is rather risky for
an individual. But I suppose either way we’ll have to catch her
before other people do. Anything else?” Eva asked.
“Yes. There’s another individual that we need to apprehend:
Roderick Grayson, an influential man on the black market. It has
come to our attention that he has five Machina Shards in his
possession obtained through illegal means. It will be yours and
a few other agents’ job to catch him and retrieve the shards as
well.” The chief handed Eva different files regarding Grayson.
“Understood.”
“Oh and one more thing that specifically retains to you. It has
been decided that you are going to enroll in the university
nearby.”
“..... Huh?” Eva was at a loss. Why now?
“As you know we’re partnered with the university. They have a
committee that works with Machina Shards to develop technology;
the same kind of work we do. Recently the Machina Shards over
there are slowly disappearing. Most likely they were stolen. So
far three are missing. We think that Roderick Grayson might have
a connection to this.”
“If you wanted me to spy around there are much better people for
the job. I’d stick out like a sore thumb, considering my eye and
arm.” This is gonna be a disaster…
The chief sighed. “Replacing limbs and organs with cybernetic
ones is becoming for common nowadays. Also, isn't going to
college supposed to be a good thing?”
“Um… it’s a little late for me to start now. You’re supposed to
start when you’re 18…”
“Are you perhaps embarrassed that you’re going to be a 21
year-old freshman?” The chief smirked.
Eva felt her cheeks turn red. “What no! It’s not like that! It’s
just that if I stand out so much I wouldn’t be able to do my
job!” This is so stupid…
“You’ll be fine. Since today’s a Sunday you’ll start attending
tomorrow. I’ve sent your classes and stuff so you can check that
on your own time. Think of it as a change of pace okay? Just see
if you find anything suspicious. That will be all.”
What are they even thinking… Eva stormed out of the office. She
sighed. It’s 3 AM now… I suppose I could get a few hours of
sleep. She looked through the files on the way out of the
building. Grayson, missing shards, the thief, and the
university. Things are going to be busy.

Age: He appears to be in his mid-twenties.
Gender: Male
Alignment: Unknown
Back Story: Ajax is the alias used by the world-famous
"Architect", designer of the most powerful machines known to
man. He hardly shows his face, and exchanges information via
carrier pigeon- with a robotic bird. Sometimes he's hired by the
government to use his great brain to design weapons, but he
mostly keeps to himself.
Ajax is definitely a mysterious person indeed. Anyone who's seen
him can tell you, right away, that he's planning something.
Friends:His mechanical companions
Enemies:People who use his creations for greed and evil.
Personality: Ajax never makes small talk. His eyes never drop a
paranoid gaze, as if he's always watching his back. Outgoing
people annoy him.
Romance: Pff, good luck.
Appearance:

Other: His home is inhabited by various small, robotic animals,
which were all attempts to create artificial intelligent life.
He considers them failures, yet charming in their own regard. He
is the inventor of many powerful machines, including the Hunter
drones. The organization that uses the hunters is no longer in
direct contact with him, as he now refuses to do business with
the government.
Weapon Sheet-
Weapon Name: MOTHER
Weapon Type: Other
Weapon: Ring
Description: Ajax wears a black ring with a white shard of the
Machina's core on it. He's invented a technology that remotely
links machines to the shard, which can be used for both a source
of power and a remote control.
Location of Machina Shard: Gemstone visible on his ring
Special Abilities: Any machine with the MOTHER chip installed
will submit to his every command. Currently, that criteria is
limited to his robotic bird...
Weakness: The ring is useless if the shard's damaged. Any
machines with the MOTHER chip installed will go haywire due to a
glitch in the failsafe mechanism if this happens.
Appearance: A black ring with a white gemstone

Name: Lucio Ritter
Nickname: Lucio
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Back Story: Lucio Ritter was born to middle class parents and
had a rather decent childhood. He went to public schools in the
city all the way until his junior year. Then things got rocky. A
DCA wielder killed his brother because he thought he stole his
drugs. Lucio stole the killer's weapon and broke it, taking out
the shard and fitting it into a sword's hilt he had in his
garage. With his transformed weapon he dropped out of high
school and swore to kill anyone who ever misuses a DCA, and cut
his brother's killer in half. He's since then looking for DCA
users he deems unworthy, kills them and collects their shard.

Enemies:
Personality: Other than being bent on vengeance, Lucio enjoys
playing cards and collecting and studying DCAs, He's quite the
enthusiast
Romance: Straight, and maybe

Other: Has several shards from others and is willing to give
them to friends.

Weapon Name: The DoubleSlasher
Weapon Type: Can be both
Weapon: Sniper/Sword
Description: The DoubleSlasher is a long sword that is charged
with lethal amounts of electricity. It can transform into a
sniper that shoots charged bullets over a very long range. It's
usual form is a sword
Location of Machina Shard: On the handle of the gun on the hilt
of the sword
Special Abilities: Everything it does is electrically charged.
The sword is also very light weight
Weakness: Any sort on insulator, the sword is quite normal on
it's own. It also takes time to transform
Appearance: A long blue gun/ blue hilted long sword with a
mirrored double edged blade

Back Story: Was nobody. Found shard. Became evil. (Which really
means I need to explore her personality more through writing
about her before I can decide what events might have lead her to
become what she is. Perhaps she wasn't nobody after all. Also,
Iaa was pressuring me.)

Enemies:
Personality: Selfish, not very squeamish,
Romance: Not really. No. Yeah, probably not. I don't know. Maybe
if it fits the circumstances, but it's highly unlikely.

can put a lot of force behind it, and it's really hard to break.
Weakness: Not OP.

Lucio
Lucio removed his sword from the hooded man's chest and took his
pistol. "I'll have that." He broke the shard out of the gun.
"You won't need it anymore." He took a step back and put the
shard in his pocket. He leaned against the brick wall behind him
and pulled out a cigar. He put it to his mouth when a girl ran
into him.
"Hey watch your step!" Lucio said, holding his cigar, "You
wouldn't want to hurt yourself"

Drew
Drew was hiding in an abandoned building when the pulse busted
what was left of the building's windows.
That power...
Drew grabbed Fury, and took off to the skies. With every shot of
her arrow, she flew farther and farther.
She reached the place where the pulse happened. Drew stopped and
waited.
Somebody will come out at some point...
