       Leopardo
By: jamesgames Date: May 29, 2014, 6:15 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Leopardo (pronounced: lee-oh-pard-oh) is a mystery game I
made up. (I know lee-oh-pard is not how you pronounce leopard,
but I changed the pronunciation to make it fun) It is quite
similar to the board game Clue (AKA Cluedo). Some of you may
think this belongs in the Roleplaying Board, but it's more of a
game then a roleplay, so I put it here. I was reading about
nitrox's game 'Mafia' and that gave me the idea to put Leopardo
on this forum, since they are somewhat similar.
So here's how the game will work. Every Round, there will
be a different case. And in every case, there will be the same
villain: Mr. Leopardo. Anyone who is not Leopardo is either a
suspect or a detective. Detectives can be Leopardo sometimes
also. A detective's job is to figure out which suspect or
detective is Leopardo. A suspect's job is to prove their
innocence. Leopardo's job is to prove his/her's innocence but
give hints the he/she is Mr. Leopardo. Suspects can also try to
figure out who Leopardo is. If they think they've figured it
out, they can tell a detective. If the detective thinks the
suspect is right or if they think they know who Leopardo is,
they can PM me asking if this person is Leopardo. They also must
provide evidence on why they think this. If I say yes that
person is Leopardo, the round ends and a new round starts. All
this work above must be done in the comments unless I said it
       can be done in PMs.
There can be only 5 detectives per round. If you want to be a
detective, PM me. Anyone can be a suspect and there is no limit
to the amount of suspects. If you want to be a suspect, PM me.
If you want to be Leopardo, PM me. The chances of you getting
one of these parts is high (unless there are already 5
detectives and 1 Leopardo, then the chances are zero). Once the
round has begun, if you haven't signed up, you must wait for the
       current round to end.
       Info -

I think this game needs some major tweaks. First and foremost,
I really don't understand what Leopardo is supposed to do. The
reason that Mafia works is that the Mafia has a clear goal:
eliminate all the villagers and try to move attention off of
themselves. But in this game, since Leopardo has no concrete
goal, there's really no reason that he would act differently,
thus giving no evidence to the detectives. You say that he
should hint that he's Leopardo: why and how would he do this, if
he's trying to prove his innocence? Is it even possible for
       Leopardo to win?
I'm going to lock this for the moment until a little more
explanation is provided. You can send me a PM if you figure out
the rules a bit more: most importantly, Leopardo needs a way to
win, and you need to explain what he should do: prove his
innocence or hint that he's Leopardo?
