       Answer: 50
       Explanation: 50 + 18 = 60
Widm's comment: Although that's technically correct, more
specifically, it probably refers to Roman numerals. LXVIII and
XVIII respectively. Removing the "head" or the beginning removes
the "L" or fifty from the number leaving eighteen.
       My Riddle:
Of all the things that are broken,
       this makes the least noise
and is always done on purpose.

       A promise.
You can break a promise, it makes no noise, and it is done on
       purpose (usually).
If you put a curve in a 1 dimensional line, it becomes 2
dimensional. If you put a curve (concave/convex) in a plane, it
becomes 3 dimensional. So isn't a cube with a curve in it 4
       dimensional?
(NO, the 4th dimension is NOT time. Also, Euclidean geometry
will inevitable fail in the 4th dimension, so you cannot rely on
       that either.))

       Correction -
Of all the things that are broken,
       this makes the least noise
and is always done on purpose.
The answer is bread, M217. Not a promise.

(Bread doesn't make any sense. If anything it would have to be a
promise. The answer can't be bread.)
(EDIT: I looked it up and it is bread. Seems like a bad answer
to me, but I guess it's right.)

Of all the things that are broken,
       this makes the least noise
and is always done on purpose.
       It is bread because you tear it in half, or cut it with a knife;
and it does not make noise. And you always do it on purpose.
Sort of? Maybe? It makes about as much sense as a promise.
Either could be broken by purpose, and bread could be broken
       loudly.

[Widm, your explanation was the one I was looking for for my
riddle, my question was indeed referring to roman numerals,
although James' explanation works as well technically. Great job
you two! Also, to comment on James' riddle, I see how it is
'bread' and potentially 'promise', but I also see how they can
both go against the circumstances of the riddle.]

       M217's riddle (the latest one):

Time is a fourth dimension in a 3-dimensional space, but in the
context of this riddle, it isn't necessarily the fourth
       dimension.
I think that the answer is "yes"--the ends of the curve both
exist in 4-dimensional space, and all the pieces in between do
as well, but they exist in different 3-dimensional spaces, so
       the resulting figure is 4-dimensional.
       Here's mine:
"A man walks into a store and notices two products. One is
labeled Gold Edition, the other is labeled Silver Edition. He
       walks up to the cashier.
       'HellocanItakeyourorder?' the cashier says, disinterested.
'How much does that Gold Edition cost?'
       'Ahundreddollars.'
'Oh. Is the price for the Silver Edition any lower?'
       'Fiftypercent.'
       'I see.'
The man places a dollar on the counter and walks out with five
       thousand Silver Editions. Why?"

Yes. If Anne is unmarried, she is looking at Jules, so the
answer is yes. If Anne is married, then Jake is looking at her,
so the answer is still yes.
A fast food restaurant sells chicken in orders of 6, 9, and 20.
What is the largest number of pieces of chicken you cannot order
       from this restaurant?
