Answer: The man said, "You'll sentence me to 6 years in prison."
Explanation: If that statement was true, the judge would have to
make it false by sentencing him to four years in jail. If it was
false, then the judge would have to sentence him to 6 years in
jail, which would make it true. Instead of contradicting his
statement, the judge set the man free.
My Riddle: A woman was halfway up an escalator when suddenly she
       began to weep. Why?
Hints: She had a husband and she was at the hospital.

Answer: The husband is in intensive care or in the middle of a
surgery. And the power goes out so the wife knows that her
husband just died. So she starts weeping.
Riddle: A thief enters a shop and threatens the clerk, forcing
him to open the safe. The clerk says, "The code for the safe is
different every day, and if you hurt me you'll never get the
code". But the thief manages to guess the code on his own.
       How did he do it?

Answer to previous riddle: A splinter.
Explanation: The guy got the splinter from going in the woods,
he sat down to find it but couldn't so he went home, with the
       splinter still there.

A tree. Gives birth to fruit and The leaves are swaying in the
wind, but a tree can't travel.
At least that's what I think, because my friend just told me the
answer a few weeks ago... Anyway, My riddle!
Answer: Any hermaphroditic organism in the kingdom of Animilia
such as an earthworm that is trapped in an isolated confined
containter such that it is allowed to survive and forced to lay
eggs would work. Laying eggs is not considered to be a part of
the definition of the word "birth".
Other answers include all angiosperms that produce both types of
gametes along with any other organism in the kingdom of Plantae
who produce both male and female gametes.
Also, seeds would technically be what you are thinking of.
I'm here just to be a boring person and add alternate answers.

       A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
       Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a
       wonderful dinner together.
       How can this be?

Answer: The woman is a photographer and was taking a picture of
       her husband.
Explanation: The woman shot the picture of her husband, put the
picture in the water to develop it, and then hung it. (to dry/on
the wall - either works for the riddle I guess)
Riddle: How will you behead sixty eight and leave eighteen?
(a.k.a how do you get 18 from 68?)
[Oh, and the answer to my previous riddle was indeed "A tree."]
Most riddles are flawed in the way that they do not account for
       multiple answers that work.

Count 52 and cut their heads off. No explanation required.
What invention lets you look right through a wall?

[Hmm, I don't quite understand your answer to my riddle. Do you
mind explaining? It is not the answer that I know and I don't
       see how your answer works...?]
[Hint: There isn't any beheading actually going on, my riddle is
asking what do you cut from 68 to get 18?]
