The design process of Mega Sableye:
A new intern who actually cared about balance and stuff had to
design a Mega Evolution in 5 minutes. He noticed that Mawile
had a Mega Evolution, but its counterpart Sableye didn't, so he
chose that. He started googling pictures of diamonds like
Sableye's eyes to Photoshop over the picture of Sableye, but he
found circular diamonds too round for the thin Sableye. He
started googling "thin crystals," and Google Images, tracking
him, noticed that he was affiliated with Nintendo and was
obsessed with Zelda. Thus, it provided him with a picture of a
Rupee.

From what I've seen, Mega Salamence is pretty hit-or-miss. Some
people love it, some people hate it... Personally, I'm one of
the former, but then again, I was never particularly attached to
regular 'Mence's design to begin with.
