Create A World!

A forum game that might potentially possibly be put to practical
use someday.
For each round, each participant may post ONCE. In the single
post, the participant shall add one element to a setting, for a
story of some sort. Note that creating individual characters
with this is NOT allowed, you may only add setting elements. The
story shall never be specified, as each round begins with a
blank slate. Once enough posts have been made, I shall end the
round with a full summary of the setting.
Example:
ROUND (NUMBAH)
Toothpaste99: The world takes place in the year 1879.
PotatoPancake: Each character is given a magic power at the age
of 14.
NoUsernameAvailible: Unicorns and dragons exist.
Mehmarshmellow: To the north lies a peaceful tribe of elves,
while to the south lies an evil empire of dark elves.
PotatoPancake: Axes are the main weapon.
Zenwarrior54: One post per round, Pancake.
Nitrox116: Science plays a major role in certain magical powers.
Zenwarrior54: ROUND END! Ahem. This is a world taking place in
the year of 1879. All intelligent beings are given magical
powers (Sometimes involving science) at the age of 14. At the
center lies humans, but elves exist to the north and south.
(Good elves north, evil elves south.) Unicorns and Dragons live
among humans and elves.
HAVE FUN, KIDS!
(Extra: You can have fun with this or take it seriously. If we
particularly like the setting we come up with on one round, we
might make a CST of it someday.)

Polluting factories have caused all natural bodies of water to
turn into giant vats of toxic chemicals.

Every animal has mutated to a dinosaur of the sort, making the
world regress into a Jurassic Era.

While many people die from the polluted water, others are immune
and actually get some beneficial powers from it (on a small
scale, no super duper major powerful powers).

However not too many people notice these small powers, as the
lack of water is a huge problem that every government has at
least one way they are trying to fix it. citizens are required
to participate in these practices, such as home filtering or
volunteering at making fake water.

The world is governed by gods named after the different chemical
formulas of sugar (glucose, maltose, etc.) who give energy and
life to humans (now dinosaurs) while punishing unbelievers
(users of splenda & other sugar rip-offs) with terrible
fattening.
Does this count as individual character creation, because it is
technically necessary background....

ROUND END
THIS IS A WORLD where pollution has taken over. Fresh and salt
waters are now overrun by toxic chemicals. The rulers are gods
of sugar, who give to or punish the now mutated humans depending
on their good or bad actions. The animals are now monsters, and
the last few humans struggle to survive the harsh world- but
they are not at a complete disadvantage, for the human race
still has a few tricks up their sleeve.

Everything in the "real world" is inside the computer. Things
are made of data.
