       The Hero's Guild (An Adventure RP)

       [font=verdana]Villains... monsters... masterminds... the
       beautiful land of Kenview needs Heroes. Noble warriors who band
       together into the guild to battle evil. Thus begins the story of
       The Hero's Guild.
       The setting is fantasy medieval Europe- a land of knights,
       heroes, dragons, princesses, rescues, etc.
       Characters may freely use fantasy elements, but no guns. Please,
       for the love of god, no guns.
       Anyone caught using a gun will be kicked out. Seriously, no
       guns.[/font]
       The Quest System
       The main element of this role play is the Quest system. Once
       your character joins the guild, he/she can team up with other
       characters, forming small 2-5 member teams and going on Quests
       listed on the main page here. The story then continues from your
       point of view on that quest until it is finished, at then which
       you all return to the Guild, collect your rewards and either
       disband the team and join new people, or stick together and keep
       questing.
       This Quest System was designed to avoid too many characters
       crowding one scene, which causes some slow typists to lose the
       opportunity to post. Optionally, you can make it rotation-style
       turn based RP, so members of a team take turns posting. This
       could help with the flow, but could also could pose a problem if
       one of the group members becomes inactive. In that case, after
       24 hours of inactivity the next person in rotation should post.
       (Of course, these rules are optional and it's all up to the
       leader of the group.) Quests take between 9 hours and 3 days in
       RP time, but "Epic Quests" might take multiple days or even
       weeks.
       Basic Rules
       -You may make a total of 3 main characters, and 4 side
       characters.
       -Side characters are store clerks, helpers, sidekicks, etc.
       -If I deem a side character TOO major, I will move it up and a
       Main character slot will be taken up by it.
       -Quests are 1 main character per user per quest. You can't have
       2 of your own characters in one quest.
       -No God-Modding. Do not finish the quest too fast. The idea
       isn't to finish the Quest quickly, but to enjoy the trip.
       -If, for the sake of the plot, you wish to have your party FAIL
       the quest, consult your fellow party members. Voting to make the
       quest a failure MUST BE UNANIMOUS TO PASS.
       -Consult your fellow party members after each quest if you wish
       to disband, or stick together and go on another quest.
       -If you want your character to enter a romantic relationship
       with another user's character, ask them first.
       Posting
       -Post your currently active character's name at the top of each
       post.
       -When posting out of character, [Place brackets around your text
       like this.]
       -Each quest name will be corresponding to a color. When your
       party accepts and transgresses on the quest, your character's
       name should appear the same color as the quest's name.

       Custom Quests
       I will provide quests by default. If you want to create a custom
       quest for others to play by, follow these rules:
       -You cannot join a custom quest you've created.
       -It cannot be too difficult
       -It should not be tailored for a specific character.
       -It should be theoretically passable by any party.
       -Its rewards should not be too powerful.
       -That being said, money is useless in this world. Provide some
       minor reward that has some practical use.

       I made a character called bob. Another user made a character
       named lewis. We stage a scene at the guild where Lewis and bob
       team up and form a party. We then look to the quest board and
       see a quest that looks like this:

       Slay the slime in this place.
       Reward: 20 monnies.
       Then, until the quest is finished, my posts look like this

       Your color changes back to normal upon quest completion and
       return to guild.

       my daughter! She's been kidnapped! I have no details on the
       captor, but I know he's hanging around the eastern cave and is
       demanding random. I don't have that kind of money! Please, save
       my precious Emile!
       Difficulty: 2 stars
       Objective: Rescue Emile
       Reward: Good Luck Charm X 1 (No practical use- but in an
       encounter with thieves, they might steal it and run off instead
       of trying to take more useful items.)

       Hunting Season

       Description: Oh, dear... I'm preparing a large feast for his
       royal highness himself, but I'm afraid I'm out of his favorite
       deer meat! If I don't get some soon, he'll have my head! Please,
       help me!

       Objective: Hunt 2 deer (They're pretty fast...)
       Reward: Invitation to the ball thrown by his Royal Highness
       himself. (There will be a great feast, and you may come across
       an exceedingly rare person who could potentially help you a
       lot.)

       Class: Guardian Druid [In simple terms, a cleric tank]
       Abilities: Guardians are essentially Knight's with more physical
       and magical defensive prowess as well as higher Hit Points, but
       with a substantially lower attacking power. Has access to many
       taunts [enemy aggro]. Druids can specialize, generally, in
       offensive elemental magics or support magics. Druids in terms of
       support favor DoT healing techniques. In terms of straight up
       heals, clerics and priests are better, however in the long run,
       druids are more mana efficient when it comes to heals.
       Skills:
       Demoralizing Roar [Taunt skill, minor debuff of opponent], Smash
       Howl [Taunt skill, boosts party morale], Willow Spirits [Basic
       root/snare skill, works best on ground based opponents, lasts

       totally walk on snow like Legolas, even in her armor since its
       elven armor and elven armor is very light and flexible, though
       very sturdy. XD)
       Weaknesses: Her ears make her stand out, and in a lot of places
       people don't like elves, so she sometimes has to hide them. She
       has a hard time speaking the human tongue, so she doesn't
       communicate well with other group members. She also cannot stand
       being inside for too long and her health will visibly
       deteriorate.
       Others: She's not royalty, but she is the Elven equivalent of a
       noble.
       Sylph has changed her mind and wishes to join the deer hunt.

       [For the record, this is supposed to be kind of a laid back RP.
       For everyone else, you don't have to be RPG style. While I
       appreciate the box's depth, you don't have to put complicated
       stats or anything, as this is supposed to be less of a video
       game and more like a story, or tv show style episodic format.
       Basically, you don't have to put complicated stats like good ol
       Boxy did. It's optional.]

       For instance, if you don't want your character to be involved
       with a romantic sub-plot, put "Unavailable". If you're ok with
       it, or at least are indifferent to such an idea, say so.]

       Nickname: Just call her Rema. It's pronounced jr-E-A-m-uh mushed
       together, kinda. But that's only for formal occasions; otherwise
       it's r-A-muh. You know what, just pronounce it however you want.
       Age: 17
       Gender: Female
       Personality: Cold, but she smiles and opens up to her friends.
       However, these people are few in number. She has no problem
       talking and pretending like she's a psychopath to get what she
       wants, whether information or a shiny new sword, but if she
       actually killed someone she would probably die from the guilt.
       Appearance: She has dark hair pulled into a messy knot on the
       back of her head, along with matching dark eyes. She wears a
       cloth mouth mask like most rogues do.
       Romantic Availability: Single
       Class: Rogue
       Abilities: Extremely skilled in dual-wielding short blades. She
       also has the skills of a normal rogue- sneaking, pickpocketing,
       handling knives, lock-picking, lying, etc. As a rogue, she is
       also very agile and good at climbing. Oh, and her poker skills
       are commendable.
       Weaknesses: Rema has arsonphobia (fear of fire), due to a nasty
       memory of a dragon raiding her hometown. She can deal with
       campfires if she's not too close, but anything larger will
       paralyse her. She also doesn't use armor (like most rogues), as
       she feels it slows her down too much. There is also a bounty on
       her in some towns due to some *cough cough* misunderstandings.
       Others: Rema has had bad experience with mages in the past and
       generally distrusts them. And although she hates murder, Rema
       has no problem crossing the line for other minor crimes.

       Personality: Intelligent, fond of ridiculously convoluted plans,
       overly formal
       Romantically: Available
       Appearance: Bright green eyes, dark shoulder-length hair,
       stubble, muscular. Will put in chibi later.
       Class: Summoner/beast-master/air elementalist [basically,
       specializes in summoning/controlling animals and mythical beasts
       of the air element eg. wolves, birds, gryphons, insects. The
       wind element gives his creatures high speed and stealth, but
       they are quite frail. He himself has terrible speed, adept
       magical prowess, average physical prowess, and decent defenses.
       His ranged attack (eg. bow) sucks.]
       Abilities: Basic winged beast (summons large eagle, mid) Attack
       winged beast (Summons dragon/wyvern, heavy to very heavy mana)
       Swift winged beast (summons pegasus, heavy to very heavy mana)
       Noble winged beast (Summons gryphon, heavy to very heavy mana)
       Basic carnivore (summons hunting dog, low mana)  Attack
       carnivore (Summons bear, mid to heavy mana) Swift carnivore
       (Summons wolf, mid to heavy mana)Noble carnivore (Summons lion,

       particularly wind attacks and decent sword work.
       Weaknesses: He is completely outclassed by other characters once
       he runs out of mana, because is physical/melee combat is
       mediocre at best. This is also hindered by the fact that he runs
       out of mana fairly quickly because many of his more powerful
       spells require a ton of mana to use. Furthermore, personality
       wise, he looks at the big picture and often misses obvious
       details. He makes a point of being always honest and can be
       blunt, making it sometimes difficult for people to get close to
       him.
       Equipment: Wears a teal-and-gray silken robe over his armor, for
       channeling magic. Caries an ancient staff with a teal gemstone
       at the end for his summoning and wind spells. Also carries a
       wind sword under his robe where it is concealed but easily
       accessible in case he runs out of mana or is forced into melee
       combat. The sword has a gemstone in the hilt for channeling wind
       magic. It itself is made of hard and dense compressed air that
       can be released explosively.At his back are rolls of scrolls for
       more difficult/specialized summons and he wears a number of
       rings that enhance his magic.
       Wants to do deer hunting quest with Will, Sylph, and Rema. If
       rejected, no hard feelings, and he awaits a partner to do the
       Trouble with Bandits quest.
