Creating a GSM Minecraft Server. (Help Needed)
By: Lemon_Sprinkles Date: February 12, 2014, 10:53 am
---------------------------------------------------------
People were saying that we should make a Minecraft Multiplayer
Server for all of us on the forums who play the game. So, here
is my plan at the moment.
PROBLEMS:
First off, we would need to buy a server so that we could play
together. But, would anyone actually be willing to pay for the
server? Here are a few sites that I found that aren't too bad in
pricing. mcprohosting.com or hosthorde.com
Second, would the person who pays for the sever be willing to
keep the server up and running?
If anyone would consider paying for a month of uptime, please
message me, or comment.
Feel free to add your ideas and suggestions in the comments. :D

I'm not all that experienced in creating servers, but if you do
make one, I would suggest using Amazon Web Services. They allow
you to host a server easily and set up ports for it. However,
Amazon servers automatically charge you in order to keep
running, so make sure you know how to shut it off when needed.

you can use logmein hamachi to set up a free 5 slot server,
whenever the host is online. It has worked well for me,
widmanime (the-box), epsilon and pwn3d over the last year, but
we also go on regular servers too.

I'm not going to contribute to the funding of a server, if you
decide to buy one. I apologize.

Don't worry Walrus. No one needs to fund the server unless they
100% want too. I do currently have a Hamatchi server, but I was
wondering if that would be good. Also, Omni, that sounds cool. I
will check it out.

I think it should be a Bukkit, whitelist server, where everyone
is a form of op!
