In case anyone who might care hasn't been on GSM recently
It does mention a new version of Gamestar Mechanic being
released this fall. It doesn't go any more in-depth than that,
but my fingers are crossed for Gamestar Unlocked or something
equally exciting. Not getting my hopes too high, however.

I have to agree, the prizes aren't the best. However, after
looking at the sprites made available, I have decided to accept
the challenge of creating an interesting and awesome game with
this meager quantity of sprites. GSM, HERE I COME! (tbh tho, i'm
probably gonna fail. :| Most likely will not finish it before
the contest ends.)

That's what they said in 2013 about Gamestar Unlocked, and now
it's 2015.

This contest does sound interesting! However I do agree that the
prizes aren't great...
I doubt my entry will be finished in time though.
