Researchers at Rutgers University have developed a smart gel
that can be 3D printed and electrically activated to walk
underwater. Hydrogels continue to prove to be excellent
materials for making soft robots. Composed of more than 70%
water , they are easy to 3D print in any shape needed, such as
an octopus or a caterpillar. They respond to triggers such as
       light, temperature, and electricity.
