       (Story originates here:

The rumoured extra analogue thumb pad add-on seems to have been
leaked, leading to further speculation that Nintendo will
release a Mk2 3DS with duel thumbsticks less than a year after
       the original was released...

As a day one owner, I don't know what to think of this-first te
price drop and now a peripheral that seems to add considerable
girth to an already large portable console?
Yes, I was annoyed by the price drop 6months after release ad
yes as a retro gamer I liked the offer of the 20 old school
games, but considering I already own most of the originals, it
took the edge off a little...
...if they would have offered one of these for free/highly
reduced, I'd have been a happy moobit! :)
Due to the lack of showstopping software so far, people don't
realise the 3DS is a decently powerful piece of kit-if we could
get a few decent FPS games, as ugly as it is it could be a nice
       addition...
What do you guys think? Great idea? Too little, too late? Are
ninty running scared from the impending release of the PSvita?
       Let us know belooooow....

I think Nintendo need to either give this away free to existing
3DS owners or make it very cheap, otherwise they are splitting
       the market.
Convincing game devs to make games that only a certain percent
of 3DS owners can play is going to be very tricky.
Maybe it will be bundled with Monster Hunter and not used for
       any other game.

This kind of thing makes me really annoyed. Why add a game
changing piece of hardware six months after the initial release.
If I owned a 3DS I would be livid. To me this sends one
clear message, if you are looking to buy a Nintendo console, the
next Wii for example, dont, wait and see what they change about
       it in a years time.
I could understand if it was like the Kinect or the Move which
has been released long into the consoles life, but Nintendo knew
about this and didnt think to incoprate or include this in some
       way.
