GamerDads are pleased to announce.....

This October 29th/30th October GamerDads will be partnering up
eith EGL (formerly ECL, www.ecl.eu).
EGL host game competitions around the country and attract huge
crowds not only at the event but viewers on Justin TV. EGL
partner up with Game, Gamestation and Steel Series to bring pro
gamers and casual gamers together in competition on such games
as Black Ops and Fifa. Check out their site for videos of
previous events.
Their next event will be held at the Emirates Stadium, home to
the greatest football team ever ;D on the above dates but this
time, in association with GamerDads, will be holding their first
mature mayhem competition.
Only open to over 25's and with our own section away from the
pro's and the kids it will be oap's only (in gaming terms).
Replay Expo will be there with their own old arcade cabinets and
bringing along some of their consoles which will hopefully have
some friendly competitions on. Previous events have seen Mario
Kart competitions!!!
We will have our own bar (naturally) and plenty of consoles to
play on.
Although there will be competitions running (for over 25's only)
the theme of the day will be very much a social event with other
mature gaming clans coming you will be able to chat about the
good ol days while supping a beer and engaging in your favourite
past time. They may even be a chance of some inter clan
competitons running.
Ticket prices are as yet unconfirmed so what I would like to
know is who would be up for this and more importantly what else
would you like there and how much would you realistically be
prepared to pay?
GamerDads are immensly proud to be associated with such a great
partner as EGL and see this as a great opportunity to use this
event as a great social meet up and if successful could lead to
further Mature competitions around the country. So if this
sounds like something you would be interested in let us know
below and spread the world. We would also be interested to hear
any concerns, objections or reasons why you would not attend.

This is a great opportunity to put GamerDads on the map and gain
a great deal of exposure to new potential members. I for one
will do everything I can to support it, even if it means
drinking copious amounts of beer (perish the thought)! ;)
Time to get those GamerDads teeshirts out fellas. ;D

an age restriction at the Emirates rendering anything under 25

I'll try to be available for this (cost permitting), but as it's
a 400 mile round trip for me I can't promise anything.

OMFG.....
I am there already put it that way...As a life long gooner fan I
will take any chance I can to get to the emirates again :) I can
be there both days whether the missus likes it or not!!!
as for the price...let me know :)

I cant confirm anything re prices at the moment however the more
we can get to go potentually the cheaper they will be. In past
events tickets have been cheaper for people that just want to
spectate the competitions however this again may not happen for
'mature mayhem'.
The event is confirmed however exact details are yet to be
confirmed. If anyone is wondering (due to the date), Battlefield
3 WILL be there.

This sounds like a great event. Plus I have never met any of
you lot before, so would be nice to put faces to names!
One question; what kind of compo's will be running on the day?
Are we talking SF4? Or something old school?
