F1 2011

Out a few weeks before FIFA (middle of September), the first dev
diary has been released talking about some of the
updates/improvements, including:
16 player online (with a full grid of 24 made up by AI)
CO-OP SEASONS!!! - You and a friend as team mates at one of the
F1 teams.

Co-op season sounds really good. See a couple of Webber v Vettel
moments going on though ;)
Hope it's possible to have two careers, one for co-op and one
for yourself.
Online? Not sure how good this will be. F1 games have never
convinced me online, even the last one didn't, but we will see.

Having played F1 2010 to death I can honestly say I am excited
about this release.
I played in a season last year where we setup our own room and
then invited people and did 1 or 2 races a week which was good
fun :)

Virtually all the other rules are in there – with the exception

Looks good, but clips like that always do.
Really hoping you can have more than one co-op season at same
time with different people. That way there's more chance one of
them would be available for a race at the same time you are.
Can't see formation laps and safety car ever coming because
people no doubt won't be able to behave behind them and
constantly get penalties.

No ones asking for safety cars in multiplayer, but I see no
reason why it can't be in the single player game?

It would add to the realism but your car would have to be
controlled by computer behind safety car to keep you in
formation, then give control back just as safety car is about to
go back in to pits.
