Hello there.
I'm an ex-Eurogamer forumite but don't hold it against me.
Been gaming since I got a Firefox F7 for Christmas one year, or
a Spectrum, I forget which came first and I can't be bothered
looking it up on Wikipedia. Suffice to say I got hooked and it's
been downhill ever since.
I'm on xbox 360, with the gamertag of daddacool and that's about
the sum of my gaming nowadays. Used to be a keen PC gamer until
having kids robbed me of my spare cash, and I still have a love
of retro gaming- anything from the C64 onwards.
I've followed gamerdad on twitter for ages but only just got
around to registering on the forum :D

Just looked at your console list... wow! Surprised you could
afford to have kids after buying that lot! Lol.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. They are a friendly and welcoming
bunch on here and you can get involved as much or as little as
you want. There's plenty of xbox game nights to choose from if
you fancy it, and there's always someone playing something
online to hook up with.
What's your poison? Footy? FPS? Racing?

Heh, the console list looks worse than it is. A lot of late life
cycle purchases (like the Lynx & Gamecube, and to a degree the
N64), and even a few second hand ones meant it didn't cost an
arm and a leg.
Now days I mostly play Fifa, with a bit of Forza 3 thrown in and
beat em ups. But mostly Fifa :-)

I don't DO fifa but there are more than enough that DO do fifa!
I think that the league sign-ups are happening next month too so
your timing isn't bad.
We have a Forza 3 race night on Mondays and a weekly Time Trial
challenge - if you're up to the task? ;D

Feel free to have a look round the forum and keep a look out for
the next season of the fifa leagues and be sure to pop your name
down for them , we also have a fifa club which play matches most
nights .

Nope. I was a forum member for about ten years at EG. Really
enjoyed the Dad's group, then found that someone had taken stuff
I'd linked to and written from there and were all taking the
piss out of my two year old son in a private sub group called
the working mens bagatelle club that I didn't have access to.
He'd dressed up in his little sisters fairy outfit, so whilst he
was in the middle of being assessed for autism, I had a bunch of
comedians laughing at him for obviously been homosexual. Lost my
faith in the whole site as a result and haven't been back since.
The mods dealt with it very badly IMHO.
Still, on a lighter note, he wasn't diagnosed with autism and I
love gaming :D
(sorry that was a bit of a rant)

Parenthood is tough enough without that kind of crap! :( But I
guess ever forum has it's resident plonkers.
