Was just reading up on this. I have an original 20gb Xbox, so
I'm hoping it bricks it once updated.
Not often you'll hear a gamer willingly ask for his console to
be broken ;)

I've been hoping for a while that my original 20gb bricks it.
Then my wife can't say no to a new one. She'll have to, or the
kids will kick off none stop :D

From what I read, my understanding was that you will only not be
able to play new games, and that old ones will still play okay.
Although like you guys, I could really do with that 250gb slim.

Dont know how to edit my post, so will do a new one.
The new update does not effect the old machines. Apparently it
is related to a previous update that has been up for some time.
