yep have to agree its alot better played on pc than a console
these days . been out since begining of april and tbh its not as
good as 09 was tho i does look better and plays better .
its a new dev this time called dark energy digital and they have
took most fun things outa it with the comms. eventually won my
first tournament the other day now i cant stop lol ronnie
o'sullivan is solid to beat but have managed it twice so far.
couple of tournys left but i normally play this late at night
before bed.
online trophies are shocking as thers never anyone about to play
ranked games and i know if i get rid of this then il just moan
in a few weeks about not being able to play it.

It's the 09 version I have, but not played it much at all, AIS
I much prefer VP3 on the PC, which does get played quite
often... these days mainly against computer bot players, I
suppose I could set up Gamespy again if I wanted some online
play. I used to play it a lot at one time, as I had a friend
who enjoyed the online play too, and we were well matched skills
wise, so we enjoyed some great fun snooker matches about twice a
week for ages, unfortunately we lost touch when I moved to
Herefordshire about 4 years ago.
The youngest son (hackman_uk) on here is also pretty good at the
game, but it's rare he can find the time these days.. too
busy...lol and I don't think snookers is really my eldest sons
thing )(thedammedunited) he prefers games such as Fifa or the
COD which is understandable, afterall who does'nt like the COD
series...lol I like them myself.
The fact is Snooker is not everyone's cup of tea at least as far
as consoles go or the PC for that matter. One only has to see
how many spectators go to say football matches compared with
snooker, which is why of course they release the console
version while the real Snooker Championships are on TV hoping to
capitalise on that
Yet ironically, the VP3 version on the PC did take off very well
at one time, and even today I notice they still have many league
games still going, and also an on-line world championship
between countries, so there is still a following.
I suppose, the main issue is the fact it's a one on one game,
and not multiple players, but then again, for the main part, so
is Fifa, sadly it's just not as popular..lol
Anyway matey... I'll likely pick this 2011 version up, and
perhaps we can arrange a game one evening.

It is a very fun game. It's like playing snooker. I play with my
friends every weekend.
