COD: Black Ops... your thoughts?

Do we like it? Not like it?
Have you played the campaign?
Multiplayer thoughts?
Personally re MP-i'm still not really liking the "buy your own"
thing so far... I understand the reasons behind it and once that
game picks up steam, will lead to all sorts of different
individula class setups, etc, but for rubbish players like
myself, it's gonna take me ages to save up for what i want! ::)

I got to say, it has exceeded my expectations. Far better
balanced, a bit slower paced, maps are FAR better-more complex,
i am loving it. Will never play MW2 again. The campaign was the
best one yet in my eyes. Not played Zombie mode yet. Well done
treyarch, hats off.

I only got it over the weekend so the verdict is still out, but
already i can tell its not an IW production, the
gameplay/graphics/AI's are not as slick as MW2. The controls
feel exactly like WAW, which is a little disappointing as i was
hoping there would b an improvement in this area. But i do think
the game will keep me happy in 'gaming land' for a while, i'm
enjoying the campaign with its storyline and cutscenes, which is
an improvement to the franchise, im looking forward to moving
onto the MP where i know it'll give me hours of fun.

Much better than MW2 ... Not played single player yet , but
multiplayer is superb ... less camping ,good sized maps and
random spawning means you have to watch your back at all times.
( and none of that quick scoping psssh )
Don`t see the problems as far as the graphics are concerned ....
only problems to speak of are connecting to games .... although
its has improved since the update .... could also have done with
a few more maps .... although no doubt thats in the pipeline.
This may be the best yet .... :)

maybe its just me, but I do a lot less of the 'spawn - run -
die' routine and so I'm definately liking it more than MW2
(which I barely played)
SP is just same old same old for me, will complete it just for
the trophies but wouldn't bother otherwise
Not tried zombies yet

I am very impressed. I nearly gave up with COD series after MW2
because the pace was just way too much for me. Although this is
quite fast it feels a lot more manageable, there even seems to
be less running and gunning going on.
Single player was brilliant, even though the story was quite
hard to follow / work out (for me anyway).
If it wasn't for GT5 I would be on it every night, for now it
will have to take a back seat (see what I did) for a while!

Really enjoyed the singleplayer on hardend setting, also like the
fact you can practice the multiplayer maps against the AI/or in
a party on different difficulty settings,as for the actual
multiplayer game play it feels a little like a reglossed w@w if
that makes sense.
Still has a long way to go to be better than Bad Company 2 in my
eyes, but it was at least still better than MOH in all fairness

Personnally I like the new set up of buying stuff. It allows you
to get exactly what you want sooner rather than having to wait
until you get to a certain level (on most things). Not really
played the sp too much but it seems ok. Online is ok to, nothing
special and certainly no MW1 but I think Im going to like it
more than MW2

Single player campian: same old same old for call of duty they
kinda feel the same whatever happens in the game. But the
multiplayer isnt what i expected but its not bad but its more
like modern warfare 1 online. Black Ops was always going to be a
little bit dissapointing because everyone was on about it for
about 5 months before it came out so it got hyped up so much it
was only going to be a little less than everyone had expected.
still a good game though dont get me wrong
