       Nintendo and pocket gaming

Ever since gaming was allowed to be 'on the go', Nintendo have
pretty much dominated the market. Game and Watch, Gameboy, DS
have all been top choices in the handheld market. Why do you
think this is and do you see it changing soon, if at all?

I think it's because they focused on the simple. Rather than the
flashy graphics and lesser battery life of the Gamegear and
Lynx, they went for battery life and good old gameplay. Say what
you want about Nintendo, but they know a good game when they
make one. As for battery life, what's the point of 'gaming on
the go' if you can only get an hour or two. Granted, battery
life now is shorter, but so are charge times and spare
batteries. Once you get your name recognised as the market
leader, it's cemented, regardless of rivals being technically
       superior. Betamax, anyone?
Having said that, I LOVED my Atari Lynx when I had it!
If anyone here gets a 3DS and wants a game, give me a shout.

I've only got the lowly DS console and it suits me fine, but had
a shot of the 3DS and can't say I was all that impressed. I
found it hard to focus on the screen had to turn the 3D off.
I would maybe upgrade to the DSIXL but even with the price drop
on the 3DS, I don't think its enough to pull me in.
