Hi all, ;D
Along with the #blops gun logo competition, and the #DeadSpace2
competition, we are also running a twitter competition in
association with Gordon Sinclair and our friends at:
HTML http://www.replayexpo.com
The [shadow=red,left][glow=red,2,300]Replay Expo[/glow][/shadow]
is a massive Arcade, Retro and gaming expo, held in Blackpool
every Autumn.
I attended as press last year for Gamerdads (some of you will
have seen the live vidcast I did from the expo on GDTV, and the
youtube videos on
HTML http://www.youtube.com/retrocastUK),
and I can
say it is an absolutely FANTASTIC show! ;D
Every arcade machine, pinball table, games console (including
current Gen!) and computer you can think of all set up for
gaming and free to play! There are also talks from gaming
celebrities and a large cinema screen with 24 player multiplayer
games set up (eg: Bomberman,1984, etc) on stage, along with
world record attempts, and amateur/professional competitions
(eg: Street Fighter, DDR, Pinball, etc).
As we are doing with the Eurogamer expo, Gamerdads will be
arranging a community meet-up at the event, so we hope to see
you all there! The Replay team will have a section in the
Eurogamer Expo this year, so if you are attending, you can go
and meet the guys and get a taste of the Replay Expo itself…
In celebration of this, we are running a Twitter competition in
conjunction with our friends at Replay. We will give away a
Replay Expo goodie pack including a Calendar, limited edition
first edition of the Replay Magazine, and a beautiful, soon to
be rare Replay Expo promotional poster!
All you have to do to win is go to twitter, follow both
@retrocast and @ReplayExpo and Retweet the following message:
“Want to win an @ReplayExpo goodie bag? Simply follow both
@retrocast & ReplayExpo and RT this message! #ilovereplayexpo”
The competition will run up to and including Monday 21st March.
The entrants will then be put into a randomiser and the winner
announced on Twitter via DM.
Good Luck! :)

I got somethin extra in this comp prize that wasnt stated...
Memories. The huge amount of nostalgia I got from flicking
through the callendar was, well, emotional. I got angry that my
Nomad god robbed and that both my Atari Lynx died, but the games
on the pages brought back a lot of memories for the time not
just playing them... Did I really play all those games for zero
achievements? lol
The magazine then blew my mind. I'm currently working myself up
to read about Desert Strike and its sequels from when Electronic
Arts dared to make new games and risk original IPs. Again, its
the memories of those times, associated with these games and
with the war of Amiga Vs Atari ST, GameGear Vs GameBoy,
Megadrive Vs SNES.
At the risk of sounding really cliche. Thankyou for the gift
that keeps on giving *cringe*
