What has happened to this guy watched him in Spanish football
and thought he was the real deal.
He's came to England and looks as if he's lost all that made him
great why???

Being a Real Madrid fan I watch a lot of La Liga, like you I
thought he was an amazing striker in the Spanish league, even if
he was a bit Gorky.
When I heard he was coming to Liverpool I thought it was going
to be a bad move for him. The Premiership is just too hard for
him. Defenders hacking at him all the time seems to get to him
too much.
He's had some brilliant form, and when he's on it, he's on it.
Sadly that doesn't happen enough for him over here. I think he
needs a manager who will show him a lot of love and attention to
get him believing in himself again.

He just strikes me as one of those people that responds to a

Hes a great player but seems at the mo to lack a bit of
confidence not really suprising seeing the mess liverpool are in
@Baz thought i could detect that spanish twang in your voice
when playing gt5 :D

There's a load of reasons that could explain Torres' loss of
form. He's had a couple of operations on his knee and then was
rushed back in time for the world cup.... had a nightmare of a
world cup and all the criticism must have affected his form too.
In his private life, his wife's just given birth so obviously
his mind isn't gonna be fully focussed on playing football. Add
the pressure of being Liverpool's only proper striker with the
onus falling on him every week to produce the goods, even the
best players will feel some sort of strain. When on form he's
probably one of, if not the, best striker in the world.
Hopefully, the appointment of Dalglish will see Torres start to
produce the goods for us again.

Didn't know if this deserved a new thread or not 'cos it's about
the same player.
Being a Liverpool fan I've been talking to alot of fellow
supporters about this whole Torres saga that's now engulfed our
club. Just wondered if you guys had any opinion on the whole
sorry affair?
I've heard plenty from Chelsea fans too Nutsy, so go easy! :P

If he wants to go then let him.
Chelsea might not be the best choice for him for this season,
with the way things are going there, but I'm sure the future
will be rosy.

Liverpool are far better off with 2 young hungry strikers up
front rather than a lazy striker who doesnt want to be there.
If Chelsea don't win the league and Champions league in the next
couple of years, he will do the same to them and probably piss
off back to spain.
