Your biggest gaming disappointment of 2010

For me it's been quite a poor year in terms of top notch quality
games, a lot of sequels, formulaic FPS's and poor football game
upgrades.
BUT
There is one game which shines of shitdom and after the major
hype surrounding it and the 5 long years it took to make it was
terrible Final Fantasy 13.
I've been a huge FF fan since I completed FFVII with my brother
all those years ago. That was gaming perfection to me, a
driving, emotional storyline, fantastic graphics and gameplay
that was years ahead of its rivals..........and now we're stuck
with FF13, I hope the person who thought "Hey lets make it super
linear and totally gay so more people will pick up and play it"
has been sacked and tossed off a bridge.
It was soo bad, the storyline was AWFUL, the character were
wooden and showed little emotion or development through-out the
whole game, there wasn't even any f*cking towns to visit. Yes
the graphics were sexy as hell but sadly that doesn't make a
good game and I think Square-Enix thought otherwise, they rested
heavily on the FF name and developed a turd, even the Websites
and Mag's they paid off to give them good reviews couldn't bring
themselves to do so (apart from Famitsu). They have ruined my
perfect perception of FF, and with FF14 being universally panned
for being wank the future doesn't look good for Squeenix.

Splinter Cell Conviction.
Not so much the SP campaign more the MP side of it.
Loved Spy Vs Mercs in the previous games and they ditched it,
tossed it aside like a piece of rubbish.. into an old dark
storeroom, but then, a spotty man from outer space.. hang on
thats from Superted!

Red Dead Redemtion for me, I didn't like it at all so much so I
paid £35 and gave it away 4 days later

:o :o Really? This game was one of the best games of the year
for me. Kept me hooked until the end although I never quite got
into the mp side of things.
For me and this may sound strange it was GT5. Dont get me wrong
I love the game but after 8 years in development I was expecting
so much more from it.

I agree with you Nobski, it wasn't THAT good, but I didn't enjoy
GTA4, i'm not really sure why.

Without a doubt for me Aliens vs Predators. I had such high
hopes but this game was a total fail. Worst game for me for not
just last year but probably the last ten years.

Mine was a recent Lovefilm rental, luckily.
CSI, which happens to be one of my favourite TV series. They
made a good story, great idea, just really bad controls. I
didn't buy a console to play point and click games, specially
tricky ones. This game would have been more suited to Heavy Rain
style gameplay.

its a easy one for me. BLOPS.
I think the game could of been great with treyarch but i was and
still am disappointed with it.
