       Belief and witchcraft
       1. Are you pagan? I don't identify as such.
       2. Do you work with any deities? Yes and I am currently working
       with a few.
       3. Do you celebrate any festivals? No
       4. Do you do hexes/curses? Not any as of yet, but I am open to
using them if they are urgently needed.
       5. How do you feel about hexes/curses? I feel as though they
should be considered carefully and all solutions should be taken
into account. There are usually other ways of dealing with
problems and knee jerk curses/hexes can be an overreaction. They
are powerful and have the potential to destroy.
       6. How long have you been practicing witchcraft? I have been
practicing for about a year and some months now.
       7. Could you tell us some things about your path as a witch? I
grew up Seventh Day Adventist but my parents were not satisfied
with their doctrine, as they did not believe in the rapture. I
had never had much interest in the religion, as I only wanted to
make sure that I was guaranteed a spot in heaven and out of the
chaos that is the tribulation and or hell. Over time we (as in
my mother, father, and I) became sort of non denominational
christians. No church preached end times prophecy so we were out
on our own. The whole rapture/tribulation deal messed me up a
lot along with everything else I was going through. I finally
began to have my doubts as each day passed and there was no
Jesus rapturing the church. I had always had an interest in
voodoo/witchcraft because I believed it was evil and I have a
fascination with things that are paranormal or scare me. Over
time I shaved my head and shut down my old ideals and opened up
and began my own practices, little by little, and over time
eradicated that fear. My beliefs are a big part of me now
because it is something I can actively be involved in, and that
fuels my passion for a knowledge of life and its mystery.
       8. What is your view on what witchcraft is? I believe witchcraft
is a practice. A practice of the power of human mind and spirit.
It is open ended and free for everyone to do, and results in
       different strokes for different folks.
       9. What are your strengths when it comes to witchcraft? When I
get around to it, I would say a big strength of it would be the
time and energy I put into it. Also, my findings and how I
incorporate them to make my magick stronger.
       10. What are your weaknesses when it comes to witchcraft? It
would have to be my doubts. I've gotten better though. A lot
       better.
       11. What do you consider to be your greatest success in your
Path so far? It would have to be where it has gotten me in terms
of my mental and my abilities to move others just by simply
showing them what I stand for.
       12. Have you ever encountered a difficult or uncomfortable
situation with magic? How did you deal with it? I turn to my
studies. I turn to my intuition.
       13. Why did you start studying witchcraft? The interest stemmed
from a fascination with the occult I have always had. I
instantly ran to it when I escaped my religious shackles.
       14. What do you think your biggest obstacle has been so far? My
biggest obstacle would ironically be my mind. I have changed a
lot but in the past I would doubt my power, even though I knew
       better.
       15. In your Path, do you think you spend more time studying or
practicing? I spend way more time studying. I'm usually way too
down to do any sort of work. I know my energies would taint the
       output.
       16. Are you especially knowledgeable in an aspect of witchcraft?
Would you be willing to teach others about it? I am a zealot
filled with pride and I especially love it when others come to
me with questions about what I know concerning my practice.
       17. What is your favorite thing about witchcraft? My favorite
thing is my ability to show my individuality, like collecting
trinkets and tools that I enjoy using for example. Going
thrifting is an adventure for this reason especially.
       18. What does witchcraft mean to you? It means power.
       Enlightenment. Knowledge.
       19. Where do you hope your Path will take you? My path will take
me down a road meant for me. One that involves much growth
       mentally and spiritually.
20 What tradition do you follow, if any? My own.
       Study group related
       1. What do you expect to do add to the study group as a person
and witch? Fresh, new viewpoints, practices, and ideas worth the
       thought.
       2. What do you expect the group to add to your life or path in
the craft? Hopefully some good lessons, be it concerning the
craft or not. New friendships and a better way for me to work
and express my wants through my craft.
       3. What do you expect of others in the group? Open mindedness
       and acceptance.
       4. What kind of activities and assignments do you expect to do
here? I hope to learn and discuss spiritual aspects deeply and
with many opinions, and to be able to have at least someone work
       with me.
       5. Do you expect the group to have a leader or to be completely
       democratic? Democratic.
       6. What are your strengths when it comes to working with a
group? I have never worked with a group. I am hoping to !
       7. What are your weaknesses when it comes to working with a
group? Again, never worked with a group.
       8. How much time would you want to spend and expect others to
spend to the group? As much time as it is agreed upon.
       9. We have a personal diary subforum for every member. How and
for what purpose would you use it? Possibly to document my
findings and make interpretations as a member here.
       10. How do you expect to be able to contact other members?
Through the messaging system here. If they are comfortable after
a bond is built then maybe through other sources.
       Other
       1. Can we contact you through e-mail and skype? Yes
       2. How did you find us? Tumblr.
       3. Is there anything else important for us to know? I had been
looking for ways to chat with other witches. I'm excited. This
       feels like a coven.
