the Great War resolution anb Peace Agreement

here we shall decide how the war ends and the peace that
follows. i think we should open with what we would have done if
we kept RPing. try to keep it as basic as possible please.

Melon approves of getting this war over with.
Anyways, so far it's mostly been a defensive war, with the
Vanians on the attack losing a lot of crew. I think that if we
kept RPing, Vania would have lost a lot of soldiers but gained
some ground eventually. Though I think that once Vania starts
running out of steam to fight on all of those fronts, he would
eventually face a combined offensive from the larger concordant.
That sound accurate?

well, before we decided to skip the war, i had already pulled
back to act defensively for awhile, and i still had over 3/4 of
my navy crew left. in addition, i had hired the mercs from gren,
which means i could have gone for even longer.
furthermore, i was engaging in a very large Drone strike
campaign against you, which would have caused very large damage
to your industry and resources.
which brings me to something many of you seem to have forgotten:
the material cost. your guys ships are much more expansive and
resource intensive, so while you have destroyed more ships then
i have, the cost to you, and your ability to replace them, could
pose a chance to defeat you outright. at the very least, you
guys face very large economic disruptions and depressions from
the cost of the war by the time i ran out of ships, and you guys
could start pushing into my own space. while on the other hand,
i went through very large stockpiling, and can produce my own
war materials at a much lower relative cost, meaning any damage
to my own economy would be at very worst minor, at least until
the second phase when you were on the offensive.

True, but even then I still have a massive amount of troops left
as well. Since you're fighting on multiple fronts as well,
you've lost far more than me.
You forget a few things. First, you're only hitting my border
systems, which only really exist to act as buffers. Even the
mining locations are mostly mined out, with the actual sources
of metal being deeper and further from the places you're
actually attacking. And from reading your factbooks, your drones
aren't very tough. They could ripped to shreads by faster firing
weaponry, like those on my corvettes. You've probably lost in
expenses for providing enough drones to actually do damage than
I have in replacing some power packs for those weapons and the
occasional damage to places we don't have a big investment in.
That second phase wasn't actually that far. In fact I probably
would have gotten to it by now, but I'm drowning in work IRL
(like I've said many times), so I don't really want to go
starting things I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with. And
you aren't the only one with big stockpiles. I've mentioned many
times before the war how Excave has plenty of materials in
storage, mostly for bragging rights but also in case of war. You
overestimate how much damage you've really done to us, as most
of Iammelon is just business as usual with more defense fleets
ready.
But I feel like we should try and get some other opinions in
here before continuing. Not much point if it's just us two.

Well, how you talked about them made it sound like they were way
more important. Had I known this, then I would be switching to
areas that actually were.
Also, I'm really, really sick of you guys just assuming my
equipment is trash that your stuff can rip through easily. Yeah,
the drones aren't that strong, but they aren't bad to the extent
you think they are.
Furthermore, I feel that you are heavily downplaying my GFT.
Either that, or vastly overestimating your own defenses. For you
to have a lower cost then me would mean that your stuff is more
then twice the power of mine, and I find this very unfair. You
guys were always complaining about my GFT, but for some reason
now you clearly think it doesn't matter at all.

I believe that you're all forgetting the billions of mercs Vania
hired from me.

well, that really wouldn't change the outcome of the war, just
add to the damage. i'm vastly outnumbered even with all the
mercs i hired.

well, i was just going to keep on being annoying in this war:
you know, turning up every time you attacked, sending it
hit-and-run squads to attack a military or economic target, that
sort of thing. i don't know if i would have had an effect.
but i certainly would have annoyed you a lot.

isn't that what everyone else is doing, or would be doing,
though?
