Okay but we also have fantastic shows like Game of Thrones...
And if we flood the world with more books and new genres it can
only do good.

That's so true. If we can come up with new types of writing
that will appeal to non-readers then it's worth tolerating the
cries of rage from purists.
I think we'll see some really fantastic pieces of literature
turn up though. A lot of talent won't have the obstacles that
writers deal with now - they will simply be judged for their
quality. Some really amazing stuff might turn up. This could
be a new age for literature, just like when reading and writing
spread to the general public instead of higher class families
who could afford a tutor.

We can also share our favourite pieces a lot easier than before.
Have you guys seen sites like www.goodreads.com? It's like
Facebook for your book library. I get all sorts of great
updates and suggestions, and I can see what my friends read or
want to read. You can also view everyone's comments on every
book - I've even seen the author posting on the site in the
comments section!
Can you imagine how much better a site like this will be once
more people transition over to digital production? Some
companies could be entirely online.

New genres? I'm pretty sure we've got them all covered.

No way. There's tons of potential for entirely new types of
writing.
There's nothing wrong with new material. So what if blogs turn
into ebooks? They
