Brother Gabriel, Hand of the Voice
       HQ Choice: Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain
       WS: 5 BS: 5 S:4 T:4 W:3 I: 5 A: 3 Ld: 10 Sv: 3+
       Wargear: Power Armor/Bolt Pistol/Crozius Arcanum/Frag
       Grenades/Krak Grenades/Rosarius
Special Rules: Independant Character, Honor of the Chapter,
       Litanies of Hate,
       Achievements Gained: None
Brother Gabriel acts as the hand of the Voice. As the voice he
acts as the right hand man of Cypher himself. Gabriel searches
the galaxy for fallen, and once he finds them he recruits them
into the ranks of cyphers army. They are free to do as they will
until called upon. Gabriel refuses to work with any fallen that
have been tainted by chaos. They are motivated by false gods and
       unreliable.
Gabriel is motivation come from the deep betrayal of his
primearch. If the lion wouldn't have thrown away all those who
he had grown up with for the fresh new recruits that the emperor
had brought him none of this would have happened. No one fully
understands the Cyphers true goals, but the goals of Gabriel are
to retake the Rock and use the Lion sword to kill the Lion in
his slumber, from there their ambitions are to cleanse the
galaxy of all dark angels that are not of the first geneseed.
A signal has been sent out. The gathering of the fallen is upon
       us.

Guard vs. Necrons narrative battle report!
The gusting winds snapped at my green robe as I followed the
savant down into the excavation site. The warp journey had not
been long, but the nebulous threat of the traitor legion weighed
heavily on my mind. Finally, we had reached the the first small
world seen during that disastrous psychic augury.

The vista in front of me almost perfectly matched the vision. A
ruined structure half buried by an ancient rockslide and covered
with mossy creepers. Some potentially useful finds had already
been made, but no overt indicators of the intentions or
whereabouts of the ancient transhumans. As we got closer, I
could hear the shouts of the custodian berating the efforts of
the penal squad trying to clear the entrance of debris.
Occasionally the whining servos and clanking joints of the lone
Sentinel could be heard as it continued its perimeter sweeps
through the surrounding foothills. My commandeered Guard
security platoon marched alongside us as we descended the slope
       into the site.

The shouts from ahead attained a victorious note as the last
large boulder was levered out of the way. The shouts turned to
panic as the first man in was suddenly wreathed in a green
nimbus. Over the course of a second, he seemed to vaporize from
the outside in. I shouldered my way to the front of the
security detail as the penal squad fled. Framed in the portal
was a being unlike any I had ever seen. The first association
that ran through my mind was of the Iron Men mankind once built
as laborers during the Dark Age of Technology. Whatever this
thing was, it somehow radiated a malevolence and intelligence
despite having a face fixed into a blank metallic stare.

The vox in my ear lit up as myself and the men around me
disbursed into cover. "Destroy this construct, in the name of
the Emperor!" This is what I cried at the top of my voice,
despite the sinking feeling in my gut. This place, this thing,
they were not what we were seeking in our search for the Night
       Lords.

The mechanical creature did fall, but it took a full salvo of
lasweapons and a grenade launcher impact to put it down for
good. The men around me shakily started to reload as from the
dark entrance came at first two, then six, and finally ten more
of the dread constructs; all hefting the heavy double barrelled
green weapons. As I heard the Guardsmen around us open fire
anew, I knew we could not afford this battle here and now. Even
the added firepower of the Sentinel blitzing in from left flank
did nothing to stop the implacable advance of the metal horrors.

As the metallic guardians opened fire, green beams flaying at
the rocks and trees sheltering my men, I opened the powerful vox
unit built into my personal armor. "All units, fall back and
disengage by squad! Deliverance, find a landing spot nearby for
an immediate withdrawal!" As we retreated past the crest of the
site, the fire of the guardians started to taper off, as if they
were only interested in protecting the ancient ruin itself.
Thank the Emperor for small favors, as I truly believe they
       could have killed us all.

Sorry, I announced pairings to every one at the shop, but forgot
       to post them here.
First round pairings are as follows
Jarrod Z (Imperial Guard) Vs. Jared I. (Night Lords)
Spencer R. (Necrons) Vs. Flemingdeth (Dark Angels)
Kevin K (Dark Angels) Vs. Andrew P. (Orks)
Jon W. (Arctic Fists) Vs. Jason B. (Crimson Fists) Editors note,
totally thought he was doing black legion at the time, my bad.
Cameron (Iron Hands) Vs. Rob (Fallen Dark Angels)
More people are still perfectly welcome to join the league, so
long as they come up with background. Since we've started
already though I'm thinking about keeping to a soft enforcement
of "one imperial player, one non imperial player". We've been
pretty lucky with the starting distribution and it helps keep
       the narrative sensical.
You can play as many games as you want with your friends and try
to get achievements for your Avatar, just remember that they
still risk losing fate points, and that only the game against
       your listed pairing is "canon".
@Jarrod : Dig the battle journal, I'll get your Inquisitor's
journal page up and running on the website tonight.
Edited to add: I've updated the website with the map and threw
Jarrod's battle report up there in the missive's section. As
       always its at

       Master Skitarri Riktor Validius (Avatar)
Commander of the Skitarri Regiment 2G0X1
       WS 4  BS 4  S 3 T 3 Wo 3 I 4 ld 9  Sv: 5+ /5++
Wargear: Assault grenades Flak Armor Refractor Field Laspistol
       Close Combat weapon
Special Rules: Senior Officer, Surgical Enhancements (+1 I
       (included in profile) & Stubborn)
       , Preferred Enemy (Tyranids)
       Achievements Gained: none
Validius is the most junior officer on the Tribune of Magos
Invicis hailing from a Forgeworld in the Galatic East gifted
with right of nobility and gift of innovation he was drafted
into the skitarri of Magos Invicis as a junior officer and sent
to collect tyranid samples with the D-99 detachment of the
Elysian Drop troops of the imperial guard.
Blessed with innovation Validius took samples of bio mass from
tyranid corpses and began experimentation upon his infantry
regiments to increase survival rates in close quarters combat,
and improve morale without messy lobotimizations. His
enhancements lead to a 30% increase of reflexes , and valued
knowledge of fighting the Xenos threat as a whole, allowing
tactical flexibility from static defense to offensive assaults
in common troops. This brought awards of rank and privilege to
Vallidius, and a seat on the Tribune.
Vallidius is regarded as eccentric by his allies and as a
lunatic by his enemies inside and outside the Mechanicum’s
survey fleet. Tactically Validius is renowned for the use of
heavy weapons supported by airborne units and see’s unnecessary
loss of live as cause for incompetence in his ranks not due to
lives it wastes rather that it shows disregard for the tech his
men use and are implanted with.
Likes: Aircraft, Experiments, Rants of glory, Playadept
Dislikes: Bigmeks, imperial cult, Administratum silliness
Dreams: using Tyranids as cavalry units and pets, Magos of
Uniforms , Dual wield stormshields as a means of resisting Tau
       fire power

       Lord Commissar Nathaniel Lannen
       WS: 5 BS: 5 S: 3 T: 3 W: 3 I: 3 A: 3 Ld: 10 Sv: 3+/5++
Wargear: Flak Armor, Bolt-Pistol, Close-Combat Weapon, Frag and
       Krak grenades, Refractor Field
Special Rules: Independent Character, Stubborn, Summary
       Execution, Aura of Discipline
Lord Commissar Nathaniel Lannen was thrusted into the position
of leading the Daumier 62nd Infantry Company after executing the
Company Commander for trying to run away from a battle despite
direct orders from his superior officers. After this event
Nathaniel quickly took charge of the rest of the company and led
them through the battle which ended up being an utter bloodbath.
While they won most of their company was devastated. Because of
this they got combined with another company and were sent off to
another supposedly "smaller" battlefield, due to a munitorium
error though they where sent to Falcon's Regret instead along
with leaving the Lord Commissar in charge rather than promoting
       someone new to Company Commander.
The Lord Commissar fight purely and zealously for the Imperium,
and is prone to killing anyone who he thinks is in any way
trying to hinder his actions which he deems are the actions of
the entire Imperium. Nathaniel is a prideful man and is
sometimes to confident in his abilities and can often overlook
small details causing him to lose entire battles. Though despite
his over-confidence he is not afraid to wear his opponent down
with the fighting men of the Imperium.
Is that good enough Kevin or do I need to add more?

I would like to put my name in for this league playing tyranids,
HQ:The Doombringer(Tyranid Prime) starting base with lash whip
and bonesword added. Backstory he is the bioform used by the
hive mind for special missions that require more independent
thought. he is the only Tyranid bioform that has its own
sentience granted as a means to adapt to situations outside the
scope of the hive minds hunger. he has been branded the
doombringer because every time he has been recorded as confirmed
in a system it is shortly followed by the rapid approch of a
hive fleet, and the planets defenses strangly not operating.

Hello, Keith Spoores here. I would like to put in for a DE
       postion! Here is my narrative:
       Archon Ilmaea (Black Son)
       Kabal of the Solar Cult
       WS 7  BS 7  S 3  T 3  Wo 3  I 7  ld 10  Sv: 5+/2++
Wargear: Kabalite Armour (5+), Shadow Field (2+INV), Close
Combat Weapon - Agoniser (PW/4+poison), Splinter Pistol
       (4+poison), Blaster, Plasma grenades.
Special Rules: Fleet, Night Vision, Power from Pain, Independent
       Character
       Achievements Gained: none
Ilmaea was born to the great Kabal Sindel of the Solar Cult.
Ilmaea was named after "Ilmaea" the black suns (dying stars full
of poison light) that hang over Commorragh. Ilmaea like so many
young born to a Kabal could not wait to climb the ranks of power
within the dynasty. Ilmaea wanted to spread the cult's power
across Commorragh rapidly over taking weaker clans. His
father's stagnant and weak appearance was asking to lose
hierarchy in the dark kingdom. In order to achieve his goals
quickly Ilmaea ended his father's life in a play of power to
gain control of the Solar Cult. This earned him a new meaning
to his name of "Black Sun" to "Black Son."
Ilmaea's main goal is to further the Solar Cult through quick
energy and developing fear amongst rival cults. Quick energy
will be gained not via other cults but unsuspecting battles
fought throughout the Imperium consuming opposing armies using
their pillages against future cults of Commorragh. The one
advantage the Solar Cult has over others in Commorragh is that
they have a standing relationship with the Lugganath (Eldar).
The Lugganath Craftworld left the Eldar galaxy to start their
own civilization in the Webway and have since made an alliance
with Ilmaea and the Solar Cult. The Solar Cult is considered an
eclipse or calm before the storm amongst Commorragh
       civilization.
Solar Cult sayings: "Black light enlightens even the darkest
soul!" , "Suffering equals life and death deliverance!" , "Pain
       produces progress!"
