they rejected the keepers representation via email. Was hoping
to receive a letterheaded one through the post so I can upload
it here. So a copy paste of email body is provided below
I will draft an appeal for the IAS and post here for review, I'm
holding my breath, this outfit make BPA/POPLA look like saints.
I googled and found out that the IAS and CPM (the appeal body
and the parking company) both have the same director so they are
probablty a common entity so they are adjudicating themselves.
So I guess this will have to be take up to the courts to appeal
when the reject it on the basis on
1) no evidence of signage
2) no location on the camera - literally does not say what
street the camera footage came from
amongst others.
IAS will still uphold the parking charge notice despite these
flagarant omission of minimum requirement of proving a
contractual agrrement with driver.
i will report them to cma

Hello
left this to last minute again, and IAS appeal is being refused.
The only sent email out rejecting the internal appeal, no
letter. email was sent out on 13th March 9am
Today is the 14th an the appeal with IAS is blocked, but they
are still happy to take payments.
The email rejecting the internal appeal does not have a timeline
set out.
Shall I send appeal via their complaints email and ask them to
consider it? It is normal practice on letter rejections to allow
for a few more extra days before counting down the 28 days.

it seems that the appeals service is only open for 21 days, not
28 days which is the norm. The email did not make that clear.
IAS seems like a complete load of nonsense. the website of the
so called independant appeals service seems like a uni project
thrown up in a weekend.
Is it worthwhile complaining about this racquet between the IAS
and CPM to the ADR? Why the mismatched 21 days and then 28 days?

I'm out of options, this will have to go to court then.
Does CPM take people to court?
I googled and found a few - they seem to be persist parkers who
just used the residents bays in the apartment block they live in
because they didn't want to pay the monthly parking permits.
So the CPM used gladstones to take them to court, because
obviously the cpm can roll multipe infractions into one case and
pursue them and make it worth their while.
The other question is, if the court goes against my way, what is
the likely amount that defendant can owe? AI is saying it could
be £300. But I thought small claims court will only award the
first discount parking charge if it goes against the defendant.

money saving expert? I see 25 threads, which forum are you
looking at? the mse threads go far back as 2018 mind,.
though as recent as 2024, they took someone to court for not
paying to parking, entering and leaving a car park for 12
minutes and driver won in court. But I am surprised they
actually took them to court over this. Maybe it was the
strongest short stay infraction they thought they had to try and
set a precendant, so they tried their luck.

I don’t understand your question, I just searched this forum.
Why would I search some other forum without saying so?
Which many people seem incapable of doing given the number and
type of questions asked. There’s a lot of history recorded here.

ok I understand how. When I was searching, i hit the search from
the top right hand corner and I think it only searched a section
of the forum so I only saw my own threads. So i thougth Id do a
wider internet search, and perhaps search the oldest and biggest
consumer financial forum on the UK internet to see if they have
cases recorded there.
I have now done a full sitewide forum search. I can now see 156
results too.
Not sure why earlier searches didn't give me the same result.
The search results do repeat the same thread multiple times and
there is a prolific repeated search for CPMS vs Akanda (which
reappears many times and is a different company to CPM
altogether).
