What was the first contact you had from Equita. You say you
       emailed them but after what?
       This may be a scam.

OP, can you please post the actual documents not transcriptions
of them. At the moment giving meaningful advice is almost
       impossible.
Also please answer 'stamfordmans' question aboout your V5C
       Registration Certificate.
       Help us to help you.

There has been no official documents other than the email which
I have copied into the first post I made here.
Not sure why people are asking for different things to what I
actually have but here it is simple
I received a parking ticket in Keswick
       I lost the ticket
I went online and it said Equita deal with their tickets
I emailed Equita to say I'd lost the ticket but as I am a blue
badge holder which was on display, am I not allowed to park
       there?
They did not reply and two weeks later I received the email
saying they had applied for a warrant.
Parking Ticket issues 12th January 2026
I emailed them first on the 23rd January
I had no replies to two emails asking what I needed to do
Hopefully this makes more sense now

Might there be two PCNs as the timeline feels wrong

I think Equita just sent a template reply and you have no other
       PCN.
What you did was jump straight to the enforcement agents
(bailiffs) on Cumberland County Council's site. They could not
be involved with a windscreen PCN issued last month.

To chase up the PCN, contact Cumberland parking services:

We need to see the original email so we can be sure it isn't a
       scam

In the email, it says this: -
       --- Quote ---
       > Following your recent correspondence, the content of which has
       been noted.
       --- End Quote ---
So can we please see this correspondence.
Bailiffs cannot just send an email, they first have to send, by
post a letter which commences their enforcement, giving the
amount owed and the enforcing authority they are acting for.
There is something definitely not right about this thread. Too
       much missing.

As the OP said, they emailed Equita instead of the council about
       the PCN.
Equita sent back a template email.
I really doubt there is anything more to it and provided the
logbook is correct the OP will receive an NTO, or can call the
       council to get PCN details.

I think you're on the money here. By accident, the OP did not
follow the instructions on the website or PCN(there wouldn't be
any mention of Equita on a PCN) and has set a hare running. As
suggested by others, it's improbable that when the OP wrote to
Equita thinking they were dealing with the council they didn't
include their PCN number, so all the OP needs to do is to look
       at their email to Equita.
OP, this is Cumberland Council's relevant web page:
  HTML https://www.cumberland.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-transport/parking/pay-or-challenge-penalty-charge-notice/challenge-penalty-charge-notice
Contact with Equita, or Newlyns or Capita for that matter, does
not arise until the preceding process has been followed and
       exhausted.
OP, if the PCN was served on 12th Jan, then the earliest you
could be served with a NTO is tomorrow(today is day 28). If you
want to try and squeeze in informal reps, then contact the
council tomorrow and find out your PCN number, or perhaps it is
       on your email to Equita
