There is a CPZ sign, as marked 1 on my map (link below), it is
before the majority of the direction of travel AND is followed
by a CPZ Ends sign, marked 2 on the map. There is NO further CPZ
sign from that Ends sign to the parking place.

There is absolutely no CPZ sign, as shown in my photos and also
on Google Maps now and throughout the history available, when
turning off Talgarth Road, to park on Great Church Lane

OK, so CPZ signs at 1
  HTML https://maps.app.goo.gl/AgDBGaBBMab8Crs99
GSV as one turns onto Talgarth Road at 2
  HTML https://maps.app.goo.gl/UNMAgoWfJqmeScmn8
GSV date is September 2025, but I see no Zone Ends sign
       Over to you.

Erm, my photo taken on Jan 1st 2026 and posted on this thread
       shows the sign in place.
       It's clear as day!
.....and no they didn't put it up between the 27th Dec and the
1st Jan - the council were on annual leave.

Indeed the sign is there, I must have "hopped" too far in GSV.
So the presence of this sign is your Get Out Of Jail Free card.
So you need to register an appeal at London Tribunals; I can't
see how you could fail to win.

+1 (and don't forget the absence of signage where you re-entered
       Zone A)
As per the letter from H&F, the next stage is for them to send
       the RK a NtO.
Your reps will be substantially the same (no more "I was
driving"!) so you may as well prepare a draft and post here for
comment, ready for when the NtO arrives.

Thanks. That was exactly my thinking in the appeal in the first
place, how they thought they could just ignore my point is
beyond me. I've never gone any further than this so here on in
is a new path. I guess I just reply and tell them I want to
       proceed with their process.

You don't have to tell them anything. Your informal challenge
was rejected, and if you don't pay following their letter of
refusal, they must send a Notice to Owner if they want to
continue enforcement. You will have to submit representations
again on the same lines, and probably get another refusal. The
council will refuse everything you submit because they know most
       people then just cough-up.

Oh I see, thanks for the advice. So basically keep responding
when asked to, and not before. I guess this is going to get
tiresome soon for one of us.
