       Totenham court road 2 PCNs

       Within 1 minute of driving through Totenham court road I
       incurred 2 PCNs for the same alleged offence.
       I note that both PCNs do not state the contravention code.
       PCN CU73122452-video and photos show blue sign after the
       junction with Chenies st, possibly I could be argued that it is
       not clearly visible and obstrued by the traffic light before the
       sign.
       Any advice input would be greatly appreciated.

       One PCN refers to Tottenham Ct Rd "by junction with Stephen
       Street", the other  "by junction with Chenies St". These are two
       separate locations on Tottenham Court Road and are 290 metres
       apart.
       So here is the junction with Stephen Street: -

       Note that the LH sign is obscured by the building scaffolding in
       this July 2024 view
       And here is the junction with Chenies St

       There seems to be only a single sign here.
       So it would seem you were driving south on Tottenham Ct Rd and
       passed two separate bus gate signs. You were 14 minutes into the
       restricted times of 08.00 to 19.00 Mon-Sat.
       I'm not sure how you can submit reps, as they are for two
       separate locations, albeit quite close. The photos on each PCN
       show clearly the difference in locations. You could of course
       claim that it is just a single contravention as the time on the
       PCN shows.

       Thank you for your response. I wonder wouldn't it be considered
       as a single journey on the same road? Both PCNs issued for the
       same contravention.
       As in regards to the restriction sign being after the junction
       wouldn't that imply that the sign is not installed well in
       advance?

       Well, you could submit reps on those lines, pointing out the
       PCNs have the same time on them. They may agree to cancel one of
       them.
       The signs are placed after the junction because that is needed
       so that vehicle can turn off or onto Tottenham Ct Rd before the
       restriction starts.
