You're not reading what I said.
If you pay in full, that's the end of it, no defence, you missed
the deadline. If you pay within 30 days you can have the entry
removed from your credit record. Otherwise it will be on your
record for six years.
If you pay to have the judgment set aside it will cost you >£300
and only if the court accepts this will you be able to submit a
defence. You will need to construct an outline defence for this
to work.
Feel free to ask for a second opinion if you do not believe me.
I have never been in your situation.

how much do i pay to have the judgment set aside, if the court
accepts this whats my defence going to be. Do i have to appear
in a court,
Just looking at my options.
As i was on holidays and missed the deadline, is it a good
defence if not
i will pay in full to get this set aside.

Being on holiday when you were told of the deadline for
submitting a defence is not going to be accepted. You were told
by the courts of the deadline.

so the 2 options.
pay in full and then after this do i have to inform the court of
the claimant will inform the court.
2) if i pay > 300 to set the judgment aside and then if court
accepts what will be my defence going to be.
will that be a court hearing in person. whats the probability of
court setting this aside.
What are your thoughts

I agree the sensible option is to pay the amount and get this
removed from your file.

Make sure to pay within 30 days of the date of the judgment,
which was 12 August. Otherwise the record can not be removed, it
will be marked as "satisfied" but will remain for six years.
