Good afternoon
My son received this this morning.

He paid the charge according to his statement.
They have removed the bars on exit and now rely on you to go
online and make the payment. Clearly the payment was made so why
the PCN?
Will they compensate me for wasting my time?

You’re not a new poster, so have you searched the forum for
APCOA Stansted ?

shouldn't my appeal be based on the fact that the payment was
made rather than a legal standpoint.

OP, you have revealed the driver in your first post.
And if you are not your son, which is likely, then why is your
time being wasted, you're a legal stranger in these matters!

FOr heavens sake!!!! Whoever is the registered keeper of the
vehicle simply appeals, ONLY as the Keeper or "other" and 100%
guaranteed, it will go away!
Use the following, verbatim:

driver having paid it already. Overthink this and you will FUBAR
