For now, no action to take. Debt collectors can be ignored. If
you get a Letter of Claim from Horizon's law firm of choice,
come back here for advice.

Don't contact the debt collectors, there is nothing they can do
except kee sending threatograms. If by chance there is and
correspodence make sure you, as the registered keeper, do not
tell them who the driver was. If you hget letters from the
county court, then we'll offer further advice.
At leaset you'll have a supply of shredded paper for your
hamster cage.

If you intend on defending this, then you should send a short
reply as described at
HTML https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/pd_pre-action_conduct#6.1:
--- Quote ---
> the defendant responding within a reasonable time – 14 days in
a straight forward case and no more than 3 months in a very
complex one. The reply should include confirmation as to whether
the claim is accepted and, if it is not accepted, the reasons
why, together with an explanation as to which facts and parts of
the claim are disputed
--- End Quote ---
Don’t go overboard, there are many examples of replies to a DCB
Legal Letter of Claim here if you want to look for them.
They won’t take much notice but you’re just creating a paperwork
trail. Spend your time and effort into what your defence to a
county court claim will be, remembering that DCB Legal almost
always discontinue properly defended claims eventually.

Thank you for the quick response.
I will review the forum for examples and then prepare my
defence. I'll post her for review.
Thanks.

Hi all,
I came across this post/thread
HTML https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/letter-of-claim-dcb-legal/msg78093/#msg78093
but was trying to establish if i could use the same templated
content in my 'Letter of Claim Response' to dcblegal. In the LOC
posted earlier, they suggest pay up, or complete this form
reply-form
HTML https://dcblegal.co.uk/response/reply-form.
Am I good to reply using @b789 template?
Thanks.

If you understand and completely agree with that response, feel
free to use it, but whatever you say will essentially be ignored
anyway. Don’t send stuff you copy without understanding it.
