I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them...
- No company details provided
- They claim to be "Operating in accordance with the British
Parking Association’s Code of Practice", but they're not a
parking operator, not a BPA member, and are also claiming to
cover council tickets
- They have 2 versions of their T&Cs, which contain different
conflicting terms
- They have no Privacy Policy (their Privacy Policy page just
links to 1 of the 2 versions of their T&Cs)
All of that notwithstanding, assuming it isn't an outright scam,
their model is probably based on the assumption/hope that those
whose PCNs cost them more than their subscription are outweighed
by those who subscribe but do not claim/do not claim often.
That's before you get to this rather vague
term:
"Depending on the frequency of your ticket
submissions, the plan you’ve purchased, your membership
duration, credit history, and other relevant factors, we may not
be able to cover a ticket that exceeds the total amount you’ve
paid in subscription fees."
Back in ?Victorian times, an enterprising young man claimed to
be able to predict the sex of a pregnant woman's unborn baby
(back in the days when only women could get pregnant), by use of
some quasi medical contraption that he had invented (basically
just a small telescope, placed against the woman's stomach). So
confident was he in the contraption, that he promised a full
refund if the prediction was wrong. He always predicted female,
was right 52% of the time, and the majority of the 48% that he
got wrong didn't ask for a refund.
First question regarding Scammy McScamface - if you have a
dispute with PCNTicket-dot-com, who are you going to sue? And
what address are you going to use for service?
[edit: Having seen all the 5 star glowing reviews on TrustPilot,
all written within a week, which was about 7 weeks before the
domain name was registered, has changed my mind, and I'm big
enough to admit when I'm wrong]
