parking with Blue Badge in business permit area

I have parked on the street in Enfield to take my son for an
appointment. He is disabled, and the Blue Badge is in his name.
I put out the badge thinking I parked on the yellow line which
is permittable for the Blue Badge holders. However, I did not
realise I have parked in the business permit place. I am not
sure is there is much I can do. I put it here for advice if it
is worth appealing. The PCN and the signage pics are here:

Thank you, Chris.

What is the VRM - you've blanked it.

Sorry, I am not clear why should I show my VRN - it is a
personal data and has no relevance to the subject matter.

Nothing personal about a VRM, it's on show 24/7.
We need to see the council's photos. Also, the VRM would
indicate (by virtue of the year number) whether the car might be
leased or hired. But we can put this question now: are you the
registered keeper with current DVLA registration or is the
vehicle hired/leased? The latter introduces specific procedural
considerations for us the assess.
You say you thought you were on SYL, so we need to see the
condition of the lines and markings to form a view as to whether
this is unsatisfactory and could be attributed to the council.
We look at GSV over time to assess the degradation of lines and
the council's approach to maintenance. Was the incursion merely
trivial or as the result of misjudgement etc?
Your situation would get a thorough examination but we need
objective photos to feature in the mix.
And this is before we look at possible mitigation

My wife is a registered owner of the vehicle, I am the second
driver. It was my misjudgement really.

Thanks.
The incursion is complete, so de minimis isn't available.
Strictly speaking the contravention grounds should include the
suffix 'business bay' because 'permit' is too generic, but I
wouldn't risk the discount at adjudication on this point alone.
I do find the CEO's number TEMP8 intriguing.
Would you pl post the back of the PCN so we can check for the
all-important mandatory 'blurb'.

You can make a polite challenge asking for discretion - do you
know how you missed seeing the business bay?

Here is the back of the PCN:
HTML https://ibb.co/WNg2f5Vc.
I originally parked on the yellow line, but then a car in front
of me left and I decided to move my car forward to avoid facing
the exit from the parking across the street. I thought I am
still on the yellow line and proceeded to help my son without
checking the signage.

Thanks. This confirms that unsuccessful reps submitted no later
than 25th would qualify for a re-offered discount for 14 days.
So, reps are risk-free.
Tell the story and ask that as you were parked as permitted on
the SYL, the council would exercise discretion.

Thank you both stanfordman and H C Andersen for your help with
this. I have appealed for leniency and will let you know what
happens.
