Royal Free hospital - Parking Eye - Blue Badge

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hi,
I received a parking charge for my vehicle which was being used
by my mother at the Royal Free. I am attaching a copy of the
PCN, my response and PE's response to me.
The details of the incident are as described in my appeal to PE
       as follows:
"My parents were using my car at the time. My mother has
       provided the following information;
My husband and I are elderly people. We have difficulty with
movement and have a blue badge. My husband had an appointment at
       the Royal Free.
I dropped off my husband and looked for parking on site. I also
had a cpap machine that the hospital wanted me to return however
I was unable to find any parking on site and had to leave and
park far away, on the street which was to far for me to walk to
the hospital to, where I waited for my husband to be ready. At
around 2:00 I returned to pick him up and went to the pick up
bay to do so. My husband was unable to return the cpap for me
as he is far more limiited with mobility. I asked one of the
parking attendants at the site whether I could leave my husband
in the car in the bay where I was, with the blue badge and
return the cpap. They told me that it was fine and I could go
ahead and do so. I went to return it as quickly as possible
(there was an issue withthe lifts and the automated system wasnt
working properly) and returned right away. The cpap deparmtent
wanted me to stay to wait until they processed it but I told
them I could not and I rushed back as quickly as I could.
I am asking you to please cancel this parking charge as I only
did so with the full approval of the parking attendant.
       Thank you"
I would be grateful for some advice on whether I should be
providing PE with my mothers details or dealing with it in any
       other method.
       Thanks
       Mo

Don’t even bother with parkingeye. Contact PALS at the hospital
and explain exactly as you have here - almost 100% chance they
will instruct parkingeye to cancel it
       rf-tr.pals@nhs.net is their email.

this is very similar to my thread re drop off zone at Barnet. RF
       parking cancelled it.
there is an argument for the Zone to be subject to a 10min grace
       period.
