The keeper can do so, no need to say who was driving.

Easy one to beat at POPLA as the relevant land is not defined,
       in breach of PoFA 9(2)(a).
       Which Lidl Barnsley?
Lidl, Wakefield Rd, Mapplewell, Barnsley S75 6DJ
Lidl, Peel St, Barnsley S70 2RE
Lidl, Mitchells Way, Wombwell, Barnsley S73 8DS

       Good afternoon,
The registered keeper visited the store this afternoon and spoke
with the manager regarding the parking issue. However, the
manager advised that the matter must be taken up directly with
       ParkingEye.
During the conversation, the manager pointed out a machine
located near the checkout area, which is intended for customers
to register their vehicle details after shopping.
The registered keeper admitted they had always assumed the
machine was part of the checkout system and did not realise it
       was for parking registration.
Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Don't accept the fob-off from the manager. Go straight to the
top of the management food chain, the CEO, Ryan McDonnell.
Have a search of the forum as very recently we advised someone
else to do this and it was successfully cancelled.

       Thank you
I just searched and found some useful thread about it.
I have sent a message to the contact us as seen on the thread
and I have received a confirmation email promising to get back
       in 24 hours.
I have also drafted the email below for the CEO
       "Dear Mr. Ryan McDonnell,
I hope this email finds you well.
I’m writing to you not just as a concerned customer, but as a
loyal supporter of Lidl for over 7 years — both in the UK and
previously in France. I've regularly shopped at Lidl branches in
Middlesbrough, Scarborough, Barnsley, and Wombwell, and I’ve
always appreciated the value, quality, and service your stores
       consistently deliver.
Unfortunately, I recently received a Parking Charge Notice (PCN)
from ParkingEye following a visit to your Barnsley store on 12th
June 2025. I had simply gone there to do my usual shopping. The
notice, which I received yesterday, claims a charge of £90 for
overstaying, despite my being a genuine paying customer.
This is the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this
in my long relationship with Lidl. I’ve attached a copy of my
receipt from that day, along with the PCN for your reference.
I kindly ask for your support in helping to cancel this charge,
as it feels unfair and discouraging — especially for a customer
who has remained consistently loyal to the Lidl brand. I deeply
value the relationship I have with Lidl and would be grateful
for your help in preserving the trust I’ve had in the company
       over the years.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look
forward to hearing from your team.
       Warm regards"

       Good morning
Thank you all for your help
Lidl called me this morning that they will cancel the ticket
A few minutes later, a follow-up email was sent to affirm the
       cancellation.
       God bless you all
