       Blue Badge Cases
   DIR By: Mortimer

       ---------------------------------------------------------
There seems to have been a flurry of blue badge cases recently,
maybe this is normal I don't know. I took a look at a few out of
curiosity as years back I used to frequently use blue badges.
However, I am not, and never was disabled myself, and it struck
me that a lot of these case perhaps unnecessarily identify the
driver, as it looks like this is assumed quite often.
My use of blue badges was only ever because of passengers, one
being my grandmother before she passed, the other my wife's
mother, before she passed too, hence not having used a blue
       badge in recent years.
So alongside the recommendations about keeping driver and keeper
identity separate and unidentified, shouldn't the same be
maintained when it comes to blue badge cases. Whether or not the
blue badge holder was driver or passenger should be irrelevant
in a many of these cases surely?

Until it can be confirmed that a PCN has been issued and it
fully complies with all the requirements of PoFA, then the
       driver should never be identified.

That's sort of my point. The blue badge threads, seem to either
come right and say "disabled driver", or there are questions
early on to identify whether the driver is the BB holder, or a
       passenger else is.
It should be irrelevant in most cases, and these detail should
be left out, unless it becomes important later on.
