Urgent Help Needed: CCJ from DCB Legal Received Late
   DIR By: mrcarman
       Date: April 17, 2025, 7:23 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hello everyone,
I recently received a County Court Judgment (CCJ) Claim form
from DCB Legal regarding multiple parking charge notices (PCNs).
The total amount claimed is approximately £1,200 for five PCNs.
Unfortunately, I only became aware of this on the 29th day after
the claim form was issued, leaving me very little time to
       respond.
       Key Details:
       • Claimant: DCB Legal
       • Amount: ~£1,200 for five PCNs
       • Issue: I did not receive any prior correspondence or the claim
form because I no longer reside at the address they sent it to.
       • Current Status: Today is the 29th day since the claim date. I
have not taken any action yet. The issue date is 19th of March.
Although in the back of the document it says the day of service
is taken this five days after the issue date shown overleaf
I also received a separate claim form for another vehicle parked
in the same parkning lot, with a claim amount of approximately
£400 for a single PCN also with the same date.
Given that it’s the bank holiday weekend, I’m concerned about
the limited time to act. I understand that contesting the actual
PCNs is a separate matter, but my immediate priority is
       addressing the CCJ.
What steps can I take to set aside the CCJ, considering I
       receive the original claim late?
What is the best advice I can do to get rid of this claim form
       of £1200 and 400?
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice from those who
have experienced similar situations. Your help is invaluable
       during this stressful time.
Thank you in advance for your support

How long has it been since you left the last address?
I believe that they should have done a search for a recent
address before progressing a court claim.

'...County Court Judgment (CCJ) Claim' is confusing.
Have you received a claim form in respect of a claim against you
which is yet to be heard in the county court, or have you
received notice that a judgment has been entered against you?
In either case, was it addressed to you by name to the address
       where you now reside?

You had 19 days (plus any non working days if the 19th day from
the issue date of the claim falls on a weekend or bank holiday)
to either submit your defence or acknowledge service of the
claim. If you submitted an Acknowledgement of Service (AOS),
then your defence is not due until 4pm on the first working day
after 33 days from the issue date of the claim.
As already pointed out above, you have failed to make it clear
whether you are talking about a claim that has not been
responded to and a default CCJ has been issued or are you simply
talking about an N1SDT Claim Form that has been issued to you.
Until you clarify this, no one can assist you. You should sow us
either N1SDT Claim Form or the order with the CCJ. Only redact
your personal info and the claim number.

Any chance you can post up pics of the documentation (pcn's,
front & rear, .....all redacted re personal info) plus a pic of
the relevant site sign, in addition to the N1 court claim form.
       (Also redacted)?

Apologies for the slow response. I did not receive a
notification. I will be keeping my eye out every few hours.
I have received a claim form. I have received two claim forms
for two different vehicles registered under my name.
I have not lived at the property in which a claim was sent to
under my name for more than a year. I also did not live at the
property at the time of contravention of the current tickets in
       question.
Claim form dated 19th of March.

Could you redact only that which is necessary?
(Or did you spill the tomato ketchup?) ;)

Start with the court claim form....it would be nice to be able
       to read the PoC.

FUBAR. Unless you un-redact the Particulars of Claim (PoC) and
the issue date of the claim and the amounts being claimed,
       you’ll get no further assistance.
You say you’ve received 2 claim forms. So why have you only
shown one, which is too heavily redacted anyway?
If one of those claims was issued on 19th March, you only had
until 4pm on Monday 7th April to submit a defence, unless you
submitted an Acknowledgement of Service (AoS) by that date. Have
       you submitted an AoS?
If not, you should check your credit file as they will have been
able to request a CCJ by default for almost two weeks now. FUBAR
