Good. The claimant must submit their 'bundle' by 17th September,
which means you must be copied in. Your deadline is 1st October.
I will take bets at 10:1 odds that this will be discontinued
before 17th September. Any takers?

Yes, I think you’re right.
It makes it all the more likely they won’t pay the fee and the
case will be discontinued.
I’m not taking the 10:1 odds, for sure.

Latest development today is a very kind offer of a 50% reduction
in charges. :P

Thought I would come back on and say a big thank you to all who
have given me advice on this. We now have a final outcome
.......... And it's a big win!

We act for the Claimant in the above matter.
Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings
and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the
Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.
The attached has also been filed with the Court.

Can you please post a copy of the N279 Notice of Discontinuance
(NoD) you received.
You won't get any updates on the MCOL site once the claim has
been transferred to your local county court. The N279 NoD is
your assurance that it is all over.
Of course, I never had any doubt that this would be the outcome.
